”….And Oh So Delicious!” starts with Batman & Robin jumping on a truck that’s driving away from a crime. They tie up the crooks. When they open the back of the truck they find the crooks were stealing breakfast cereal.

Robin says Batgirl told her it’s only sold through health food stores. People line up to buy the stuff!

Elsewhere a kid is trying to get a job at the same cereal company. He is introduced to the genius behind the company - Poison Ivy.

When rescuing kids from a burning building (the expressions on the kids faces is priceless!) Batgirl and Batman are talking cereal. It’s supposed to be really healthy and all her friends eat it but it’s not for Barbara.

”I was raised on sugar-frosted cocoa bombs.”

The art is extra good in this one. The whole blazing building scene goes on behind them while they completely go through the motions while having a conversation.

After analyzing the cereal Batman can’t find anything wrong with it.

”In fact, if it didn’t come from Ivy, I’d eat it myself. ”

Ivy gives speeches to huge crowds of fans.

”That’s why we’ve got people working day and night to produce more of the cereal you’ll do anything for.”

At ‘Eden’s Own’ headquarters the new kid has a gun held on him by four ninja-dressed robbers. He tells them where the cash is, but when one of them grabs a box of cereal he fights them all until they give it back.

After word, he is confronted by Batman who wants a sample of his blood.

Batman confronts Pamela Isley in her office. She reveals her evil (but nutritious) plan. They (or rather large plants and Batman) fight.

This was a fun story - good enough to be a movie or at least an episode! The art was especially good here. 5 stars.

The cover for this issue from the Batman: Gotham Adventures series did look rather funny. Since I read this alongside my kids they had to make a comment about it; they were curious why the heroes were eating cereals?
In this issue we learn of a new trend where people enjoyed a new cereal brand called "Eden's Own." But there’s actually a secret plot by Poison Ivy! It is up to Batman and his team to find out what’s going on and stop any nefarious plot by Poison Ivy. It was a fun story though a bit odd. Still, it is better than some of the comics these days.
