The Sphere

The Race for the Sphere Begins!

It’s a new year for Elijah Hawk and the Magi students. After spending the previous year avoiding lethal attacks by the evil Maliphists and risking his life to break his uncle out of prison, Elijah welcomes a summer of peace and relaxation. But things don’t stay peaceful for long.

The Maliphists are after a legendary sphere—an ancient weapon that’s been hidden for centuries, capable of mass destruction. And Elijah has been given a quest to find it before the Maliphists do. However, there’s one catch. He must keep his quest a secret.

Now, Elijah must pour himself into the ancient history of the Magi, looking for clues that will literally take him to the ends of the Earth searching for the lost sphere, all the while keeping up with his other obligations for a Magi in training, such as learning to use the elements in battle.

But when things go terribly wrong, keeping his mission a secret becomes much more complicated, and Elijah must decide between his ultimate quest or the safety of those he loves.

This book too was incredibly fast paced and unpredictable just like Book 1 of the Magi series. This book develops a completely different storyline which is carried on to the next book. Though a hint of of the storyline of this book was given in the previous book, there is and great (and unknown) secret of the item in search. It also shows how treacherous humanity can be just for money. The ending of this book is so thrilling that I, myself could not wait to get my hands on the next book.
Absolutely deserves a five-star rating 😀

Good sequel

Elijah is maturing, the plot is thickening. Expecting the action to go up a notch in the next one. Looking forward to it.

I loved the first book in this series, and this second one is just as great! I really liked the balance between the action-packed, suspenseful scenes and the ones that help us get to know the main characters better. I also loved getting to know more about the world of the Magi in this book. One of the things I love about this series is that the characters who are on the good side are still real human teenagers who struggle with deciding what's right and wrong. Ultimately they learn things about life and friendship in the process. Plus, it's just a really fun story that will leave you wanting to know what happens next! I am an adult, and definitely recommend this to adults as well as young adults.

Please don't let it be a whole year before the next book

I stayed up way past my bedtime reading this book. I got to the end I thought really. he is going end it that way. I couldn't believe it. t h e characters are growing up. the magic city is no longer safe. and the main character has more responsibility than he needs. plus a possible girlfriend... if u want to know more pick up this book and the other one too. and u will know what I mean by I can't wait till the next book.

Better then the 1st book. Having a bit more depth. Looking forward to the 3rd one, especially how the 2nd book ended.
