According to Pastor Mark Batterson in his book, The Circle Maker, “Drawing prayer circles around our dreams isn’t just a mechanism whereby we accomplish great things for God. It’s a mechanism whereby God accomplishes great things in us.”
Do you ever sense that there’s far more to prayer, and to God’s vision for your life, than what you’re experiencing? It’s time you learned from the legend of Honi the Circle Maker—a man bold enough to draw a circle in the sand and not budge from inside it until God answered his prayers for his people.
What impossibly big dream is God calling you to draw a prayer circle around? Sharing inspiring stories from his own experiences as a circle maker, Mark Batterson will help you uncover your heart’s deepest desires and God-given dreams and unleash them through the kind of audacious prayer that God delights to answer.

This is an excellent book to be used by Sunday School teachers, youth leaders of pre-teens and teenagers. It is well written and hits home to those who are reading it. Prayer is important and very effective. After reading this book I feel that I better understand the importance of prayer.
This book has profoundly changed my life forever. Could not think of a better book to happen to me during lockdown for COVID-19. It made me realize that I too have a direct lifeline to heaven.
The Circle Maker by, Mark and Parker Batterson was very inspirational. This book has taught me how to pray more in-depth and how to have a better relationship with God. I have learned that God does actually listen to my prayers and I need to keep pursuing Him. The Circle Maker, talks about how and why we should pray. It helps us understand what we should pray for and the importance of praying nonstop throughout our lives. This book will help you develop a person relationship with God.
I give The Circle Maker a five star rating. This book has tremendously helped me grow in my relationship with God. "Every prayer is a time capsule. You never know when or where or how God is going to answer it, but He will answer it. There is no expiration date, and there are no exceptions. God answers prayer. Period." Reading this quote has inspired me to live every day for God. I know that God is always trying to help through the good and the bad. I know that God will always answer my prayers; I just need to look for it. I am giving this book five stars because it has revolutionized my prayer experience and my relationship with God.
If you are looking for a refresher on your relationship with God, this is the book for you. This book has taught me how to pray more effectively and how to actually have a relationship with God. I one hundred percent recommend this book. This would be a good read for the “advanced Christian” or the Christian who has just found Jesus.
I recommend The Circle Maker to anyone who needs a boost to your prayer routine. It's easy to pray for general things: health, happiness, well-being, etc. but Mark Batterson encourages us to be more specific when praying. It's not that the Lord doesn't already know our prayers, but there is power in naming something specifically. Mark encourages us to "spell it out;" for example, "If your grandfather has cancer, it's spelled HEALING; if your best friend is far from God, it's spelled SALVATION; if your family is falling apart and shattered, it's called RECONCILIATION."
This is one of those books you really need to work through. There are so many ideas you need to take your time and absorb them. There are lots of books on prayer out there, and this is one of the really good ones!
