Lobo 2

Promising to return, Lobo leaves Hannah and Tilly to hunt the man who killed his pack and caused the Padre’s murder.

Not knowing the man’s name or location, Lobo travels the West, searching for clues. Along the way, he helps strangers and works as a bounty hunter.

Meanwhile, Tilly’s hackles rise when handsome and wealthy Brock Boone buys the ranch next door and brings Hannah a bouquet of flowers.

Lobo finally closes in on his prey. But his quest takes an unexpected turn when a window opens onto the past and reveals a staggering secret that will change everything forever.

Lobo 2 is another classic John Deacon Western with a touch of romance.

“John Deacon writes the kind of Westerns I like to read—gritty and fun with lots of heart.” — Don Bentley, New York Times Bestselling author of the Matt Drake series and Tom Clancy Jack Ryan, Jr. novels

LOBO, A MAN WITH A TROUBLE PAST TRIES TO UNRAVEL WHO HE IS & SETTLE NEW & OLD SCORES

Lobo is man who believes he is cursed and anyone he loves will die due to the curse sets out to bring justice to those who caused all his pain and suffering as a young boy all the while helping those in need, protecting those who need protection from the ruthless thugs set out to harm others, and find answers to his past. At the sametime Lobo has to deal with his strange new feelings for Hannah and Tilly.

The confused young couple not understanding their feelings or how to express them with doubts of their own self worth or their appeal towards the other almost to the point of denying their feels and that of the other, Lobo and Hannah teater back and forth with their emotions almost costing them their chance for happiness together and with Tilly as well. With the addition of a new wealthy neighbor with his eyes set on making Hannah and the ten years old Tilly his new family also throws a twist into their lives drawing even more confusion into the mix.

Before Lobo can allow himself a normal life, he has to set things right with his past as well figure out just who he is and if he has any family after the almost twenty years of living as a recluse either with his pack, his friend and father figure Padre Emilio Martinez who saved him from a life of toucher and humiliation, and years on the trail avoiding people as much as possible, he sets out one more time to find those responsible and serve justice the only way he knows how with his wits and his gun all the while bringing down gangs of thieves and murderers.

Lobo 2 (The Lobo Trilogy) by John Deacon is a great western that is well written, full of action, mystery, with a touch of romance that will just about appeal to most readers if not all. The characters are easily to relate to as they do the best they can to live a life that based on doing the right thing at all times no matter what.

I have enjoyed reading this second book in this series and can tell you the third and final book is just as good and will answer a lot of the questions to who Lobo is as well if two young people deeply in love with each other can over come their insecurities and build a life together along with Tilly as part of their family.

Excellent read

This second book was very exciting and also some sad at times. Just when you think something good is about to happen then something bad comes along. Overall it's a good read with good people and bad people but I guess that's true in most stories. Would highly recommend this to all that enjoy a great read.

One of the best books I read this year! The thing is I've read close to 100 titles. Mr. Deacon is quickly becoming one of authors. Takes you right into the action.

The series continues, as Lobo continues to look for the man who killed the Padre who raised him. His and Hanna's relationship continues to be a typical western, where they love each other but do not speak it to one another. After while this back and forth becomes tiresome. However, a rich cattlemen moves in next to Hanna's land and has his sights on here, while Lobo is out bounty hunting and looking for the man responsible for killing his Wolfpack and padre. Overall, still a good read and good ending that will flow into the last book Lobo 3.

Logo 2 Review

I enjoyed the second part if the Logo trilogy. I enjoyed seeing Lobo become more compassionate and caring. It shows that even with great calamity and evil, a person can rise above it if they have good examples. The Padre was Link's example. The healing influence of Hannah and Fully was instrumental in his humanity. I also like the fact that
Logo can mete out punishment to those deserving without remorse. This is a really good book and I recommend the series!

3.75!

This book was very western slice of life because stuff was happening, but at the same time not much really was. We were introduced to a new conflict in the book. It really showed or enhanced how some characters in the book feel. (Tilly and Hannah) We kept progressing at a steady pace towards a goal when traveling with Lobo and were really seeing how being around Hannah and Tilly is effecting him and his internal battle over whether it’s good or bad. Does being good make you vulnerable? Weak?

I can’t wait for Lobo, Tilly, and Hannah’s reunion! It’s got so much potential to be amazing! I’m interested to see how long into the next book it will take before they’re all together again. Enjoyed!

This is Book 2 of the trilogy and hopefully you read Book 1. If not, there is a good summary in the prologue. Lobo is commited to seeing that Hannah and Tilly have a chance at a good life. Neither he or Hannah think they are good enough for each other. 10 year old Tilly has more awareness than either of them. Lobo's need to avenge the death of his wolf family is getting in the way. It is taking him longer than it should because he keeps stopping to help people in need and catching bad guys to send reward money back to Hannah. He better get done quick, because there is trouble brewing on the home front. This one has a very surprise ending!

Very enjoyable escapist fun!
Very well written and creative.
The characters are vivid, and the protagonists are very likable. Conversely, the antagonists are very unlikable and one can discern the bad guys from the good guys very clearly. The reader must read these 3 books in the series in order to understand the story and arrive at the end. The narration is very good (although the narrator in real life a belligerent woke fool). If you like the traditional hero you will love this series!

Reading this book for the second time. Getting ready for book 3. Can’t wait!

I have been waiting for the third book to finish this great story. Love Lobo! I wish he and Hannah and Tilly could hook up sooner but I guess I’ve got to wait. I have just reread book one and two so every thing is fresh to go into book 3. It will also be very interesting if he finds his family-—that would be cool.

Good Story

I really have enjoyed reading the Lobo stories, and I look forward to the final book.

Mr Deacon has taken time to learn about the Plaines and the Front Range, and it shows in his writing. As one whose family has been on the Plaines since the Civil War, I really appreciate that effort.

Hus writing is good. The storyline is engaging, I find myself reading much longer than intended.

Lobo leaves Hannah and Tilly to search for the sideshow man who forced him to be the slideshows main attraction. But he runs into more bad men along the way. While at home a rich new neighbor has designs on Hannah, which makes Tilly furious. Looking forward to the next book.

Closer to the answer

Interesting and hard story. The battle between wolf and man is still ongoing. A search to find out who he is; where he came from; and why the monster who kidnapped him wants him back. There is a surprise at the end of this one, too. Highly recommended for all adult readers.

Didn’t enjoy this as much as book one. The story seemed to drag and to be honest I considered skipping to the end. Did page swiftly through some of the dialog involving Boone. Don’t care for the way he is portrayed. Obviously the bad guy. His part just delays the main point of the story. Come on!! Let’s go!!!

Worthwhile entertaining reading

The writer keeps the suspence flowing. I like books or shows with only a few characters. The writer does not confuse the story line with a lot of main characters. Descriptive scenery is written such that i can visualize the scene clearly. Good writing!

I have recently discovered John Deacon's westerns. I have read all of the Providers, all of Kip Callahan, and am on the last Lobo book. In other words, I am hooked on his western novels He touches on everything that I hold dear to me: the Lord God, Jesus, love, bravery ,respect for his fellow man. He puts them in beautiful order.

Excellent trilogy, can't wait to read the last of the series.

The epitome of a page turner.. The type of main characters was very original. The author blended two separate accounts credibly. I couldn't put the book down. I would recommend the series and author very much.

The author makes this story real somehow, and compelling.

Still turning the pages and seeing where this story takes me.
Well written in a tense style I like.
I will now start on the final book of this very different trilogy.

Great story

I'm a sucker for a great love story. Lobo is one of the best I've read in a while. Adding the mystery of Lobo's past and the addition of Tilly all contributed to a great love story. I'm looking forward to #3. Keep up the good work.

For the Western genre lover

I have become an avid reader of John Deacon's Westerns. I have nothing but praise for his tales of the Old West and the Lobo series is a prime example of his ability to weave a believable yarn.

wasn’t sure a 2nd book could live up to the 1st. it did!

So the wolf boy grows into a man, learns that to be a good man, he has to struggle with his wolf like instincts. Not gonna spoil it, intriguing story line, very interesting maturing from beast into a good man.

Outstanding

Lobo 2 continues the story of Lobo, Hannah and Tilly.
Great tale, the characters are perfect and the novel is a true page turner again.
Deacon has a real niche in writing about the goodness of flawed men.
Try his other series' too. You will thank me.
