Great (short) actionable book

Some books need to be long and dense to get the information across. I am happy that there’s a book for people who want to alleviate or eliminate anxiety completely that’s easy and quick to read.

Some people might be disappointed to find this book is short enough to read in an hour or less. But most people who want easy-to-follow methods of reducing stress and anxiety (or other kinds of problems), will be extremely pleased.

I’m one of those people, which is why I gave it 5 stars. And why I went on to buy two of Melissa Tiers’ other books.

I've had the honor of training with Melissa Tiers in 2023, and her techniques for reducing stress, anxiety, changing feelings, working toward goals are life changing, and enabling me to help others in my coaching practice. This is a quick, practical read, and best supplemented by watching some of Melissa's demos using these tools on YouTube. If you have the chance to take a class with Melissa - I highly recommend it!

A good set of tools. a bit too commercialized

The tools themselves seem to be useful. I have begun to use some of them and they are helpful but require practice and need to become second nature in order for them to be more effective.

I also appreciate the author referencing other sources as it provides more context as to the origin of the techniques and where to get more information.

But, the book loses some credibility when it dedicates over 5 full pages at the end of the book to testimonials. The reader should be able to make their own judgements on the effectiveness. In addition, if the author feels the need to dedicate almost 5% of the book to positive testimonials it calls into question the book’s ability to stand on its own.

I should probably go back and try this again while not actively in the middle of a slow-moving panic attack. The exercises seem to be fairly promising, but it's hard to convince your brain that disaster is not happening when actually, no, a real disaster is actually unfolding around you in real time. Probably better to practice these on low-level anxiety before trying to scale up to the full thing.

Another excellent book by Melissa. Short, but packed with simple, easy to use, powerful techniques designed break the anxiety cycle, or any thought/behaviour patterns that have out stayed their welcome.

Great ideas for dealing with anxiety

Most of the ideas in this book will be familiar to hypnotists, who often use NLP techniques and EFT (tapping) in their work in a similarly integrative approach. What sets this book apart is how clearly and concisely the processes are explained.

A powerful little book. Written very clearly and directly, the book presents a lot of simple but effective techniques for taking control of and releasing from daily feelings of anxiety or repetitive worry thoughts.

So many techniques

Doing hypnosis this helps review some things I knew and some things I want to use right away with others. Thank you for writing this book and keeping it super easy. I’ll definitely be sharing some of these techniques now.

Lots of great stuff in this little book! Someone recommended it to me to help with an anxiety client and I’m looking forward to putting these techniques to work.

Excellent resource for someone struggling with intense anxiety. Just one or two areas I felt needed a more in-depth explanation.
