This was yet another great helping of magic, and mayhem; and of wonder, and whimsy; by Sarah Noffke and Michael Anderle.
This series has entertained me; made me laugh and cry; it has filled me with wonder and delight, and made me shudder, at times, at the way in which some people will deliberately seek darkness, and hate, rather than light, and love..
Rose, despite being a Demi-god, and a truly confident Warrior, has many moments of worry, in this story, as she sets out to complete the tasks that she had been set.
That's not surprising, really as, having the weight of bringing John back from his magical sleep, would be task enough for even the most confident of Warriors!
How Rose went about it was perfect. She asked for help when she needed it. She willingly took upon herself many tasks, in order to prepare herself, and her companions, to confront beings so evil, that they willingly gave up their souls, for power.
But, most of all, she had the courage to confront pure evil, because that was the right thing to do!
I really love the Beaufont Family, and Rose really has become the true embodiment of all that they represent.
Reading this seventh book of the series has been really fun for me, and I'm very much looking forwards to reading Book Eight, once it's published - which will be fairly soon, thankfully!
So, now that I've had another fix of my favourite magical family, I'm off to continue on the journey that I started recently, in the Oriceran Universe.
According to my reading list, my next book is the first one of The Chronicles of Winland Underwood: 'One if by Land'. So, I'm going to start reading Book One of this new series, then I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!
If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!
THAT was MY mother’s favorite phrase to use with my brother, sister and I. We must have been horrible, judgmental gossips for her to say it so often, that’s all I can imagine (Sadly, for MY part I was an awful tattletale, which also prompted that from my mother, but I learned…). In any event, maternal sayings play a nice role in this beautiful book and give rise to great laughs and many fond memories. That alone makes this book so worth reading.
What about Rose and London? Once again Sarah keeps us hopping, keeps us laughing and keeps us following along through her madcap world. My single favorite element was Elvis’ persistence in reducing Bermuda Laurens’ name to “B.” Each and every time it made me chuckle. That’s not a spoiler, so I feel free to share it. I suspect he won’t change, either, until she acknowledges him as a “real” dragon. I imagine a scene in which… nah I won’t put that here. I want to see if I’m right.
Family IS eternal, and Sarah’s dedication to this premise continues to bring tears to my eyes throughout this book. So Mrs. Falconer, who isn’t a falconer, btw, visualize me sticking my tongue out at you in response to all the tissues I’ve had to use.
Finally, I’ve been a huge fan of falconry since I read The Hardy Boys and the Secret of the Hooded Falcon as a child. Like Sarah, I’ve always wanted to become a falconer. Now, courtesy of Sarah, in a way, I have! So many many thanks.
A demigod’s job is never done! Once again Rose finds herself in trouble, this time with a warlock as well as the witches and there’s still so much to do to take down the Shadow walker coven for good. Spells to be tracked, friends to help out and family always by your side, helping out where they can. It’s an exciting and thrilling addition to this series and the author once again had me captivated from the get go. Although I will be sad to see it come to an end, I am very excited to read the last book and see Rose whoop some witchy a**! Bring it on!
Rose and Elvis are going to be very busy; they have to rescue the magical crow from the evil witch, help her aunt Liv with the sandman and hopefully figure out how to wake up London's father. They have to accomplish this while worrying about running into Wizard's brother who has vowed vengeance for his death. Another fun and action packed story in the series and I cannot wait for the next book.
Warlock warfare by Sarah noffke. Firstly, hats off to the author for incorporating the sandman into this book to find an answer to a sleeping curse. Also this kind of annoyed me in a way as she had a warlock trying to k!ll her because she k!lled his brother but the brother was being forced to do what and why she k!lled him and he asked her to do it in the first place. But was also good how it was expressed
I love the characters and the comedy of their antics. The writing is funny, intelligent, and well thought out. I adore how the scenes are more about justice than killing. The authors tend to find solutions that make the books great for all audiences. I can't wait to read more!
Congratulations to Sarah Noffke and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
Rose has a mission to rescue the crow and get what is needed for the Sandman to wake up John. Read to see what she and others go through to make this happen.
I was very happy to see that this book returned to the usual wonderful storytelling I am accustomed to from this series. The plot was well thought out, and the action did not disappoint!
Yet again, Rose enlists some help, and I loved how she got help from mortals. I'm a bit surprised how it all ended up in this one, but again, this had surprising insight and also a trip down memory lane( you will see what I mean), which was nicely engaging.
Absolutely loving this series the Beaumont’s and their cohorts rock. Such fun and so much heart quite the amazing tale. Off to read next instalment enjoy I did
I am almost afraid to turn the page of my Kindle. I don't know what to expect next but am eager to find out because it is always exciting. I have read every one of the Sarah Noffke, Michael Anderle series, all the Aunts and sisters books. I'm hooked.
I love this series. They just get better and better and this is the best one so far. I'm glad London is coming into his own and Elvis is his usual greatness.
