One Word! WOW !!!
I just don't know where to start. I'm fist pumping the air and wanting to celebrate yet im emotionally drained at the same time. How this author manages to make you feel so many conflicting emotions at the same time stuns me. She manages to take the horror of the most horrific mental and physical domestic abuse and draws you into the characters till your feeling everything. I don't think i've ever come across a more vile, vindictive cruel man as Tom. Even after murdering his child in previous book and now languishing in prison, he still manages to control with evil the emotional state of his victim/survivor ex wife Arena from the cells. Arena has moved on in life and found her Bear, a truly loving man and she's made a wonderful life with him and their children. Then Tom re-enters and causes chaos yet again from prison. He persistantly writes to her telling her he is dying and he only wishes to see his son. Arena continually ignores the letters till they become desperate and she caves in and goes to prison to check it out. From this point your are running head first into hell, and with so many cruel twist and turns you spin emotionally just as quickly as his victims. Tom in determined and obsessed with killing Arena and it almost seems that he will succeed!!!
I just couldn't put this book down, and at times i was hesitant to turn the pages just not knowing what was gonna come next, but of course i had to see. and wow JUST WOW !! This is a must read!!!
All i can say is Justice was Served !!!

Tombelina is back again! Even from the inside of a jail cell, he is still able to make poor Arena's life hell. This incredible conclusion of this series, which began with You Will Pay for Leaving Me continues right where the last novel ended. Tom's threats and verbal abuse continues and his evil, conniving mind just won't let go of his thirst for revenge. Once again, Eve Rabi has done it again!

But perhaps it is my overly suspicious mind, but I wonder if this is really the end of Tom.

Revenge of the Master Manipulator!

This novel is once again an original, emotional and compulsive work from Eve Rabi. It is a read that her fans will not want to miss and those who enjoy thrillers and dark romantic suspense will also enjoy. Do not read after the first paragraph if you want to avoid spoilers for book 1, You Will Pay- For Leaving Me.

In this and the previous instalment in the tale, You Will Pay: She Left her Abusive Husband He Took Revenge,the author tackles the difficult and often taboo subject of domestic abuse. The abuser in this story is a sociopath who seeks brutal revenge on his wife who leaves him after years of abuse. There are harrowing scenes of threats, violence and murder and although not an easy read the ability of Eve Rabi to weave a compulsive and addictive story containing real life issues and characters with whom the reader can identify with is once more underlined. The remainder of this review contains spoilers for book 1.

In book 1, You Will Pay – For Leaving Me, we met Arena, married to businessman Tom. Tom likes to control Arena, from how she dresses to how she wears her hair and who she socialises with. His control also extends to their son Warren and after Arena becomes pregnant and their daughter Sasha is born, his behaviour turns violent. Arena finally takes the plunge and leaves him to make a new life for herself and her children. However, Tom dishes out the most terrible revenge imaginable on Arena and her family and is truly beyond redemption. Arena and Bear, the new man in her life, dish out their own revenge on Tom, which I absolutely loved! After the end of book 1, I was sort of happy that Tom had been incarcerated, although secretly I would have preferred him to have been AT LEAST 6 ft under! The fact that he was in prison due to the actions of Arena and Bear I regarded as natural justice after his sickening crimes against Arena and baby Sasha.

In book 2, Arena and Bear are happily married, living with Warren, Tom and Arena’s son, Bear’s daughter Amy, by his first marriage, and their own baby Savannah. All is fine and dandy apart from a series of abusive and threatening letters that Arena begins to receive from Tom, trying to persuade her to bring Warren to visit him. Arena does not respond to his letters and they abruptly cease. After a brief respite, the tenor of the letters changes and Tom claims that he is suffering from terminal cancer and that he needs to see Warren before he dies. Arena is torn between her hatred and distrust of Tom and the fact that he is in effect making a deathbed request that it would be heartless to ignore. After all what can he possibly do to her if she does visit as he is behind bars?

You need to read the book to see how Arena copes with the situation and the consequences of her decision on whether or not to acquiesce to Tom’s request. What I will reveal is that this instalment and Tom’s actions are just as chilling as book 1, as even from his prison cell Tom attempts to bring Arena, Bear and their family to their knees. Arena and Bear’s love is tested to the full and lives are put on the line. Once again this stellar read contains some intense and dark moments and once again I read it into the small hours.

I enjoyed finding out more about Bear in this book, such as what makes him tick, his relationship with Arena and how he seeks to protect her and their family from Tom. I felt for them both when they were faced with the terrible consequences of Tom’s actions and there were some truly heart rending scenes. I also enjoyed the character of Ritchie, Arena’s brother who supported them and the pivotal role played by the character of Ingrid.

This is perhaps one of Eve Rabi’s darkest works to date, Nevertheless it still contains her trademark scenes of intense love between the hero and heroine, the survival of a strong woman who survives against the odds, self-sacrifice, heart rending emotional scenes and a plot where the reader has absolutely no chance of predicting what will happen next, let alone the outcome.

I strongly rrecommend this book to fans of Eve Rabi and also to those who are not adverse to reading about difficult issues and examining the darker side of humanity.

Oh, my fabulous stimulating, fast-paced, incredibly enjoyable read. Heartful, thrilling, intense, seXy and satisfying read... another fast-paced unputdownable book by Eve Rabi. This is the kind of book you read on holiday, when life is utterly boring, stressful, or just plain tiresome. Seriously, though. Was waiting and waiting, and waiting, for this sequel to the fabulous first book in the series (You Will Pay) and was it ever worth the wait. This first book in this series has some shocking content and was, like this second in the series, a wild fiction ride. The story and emotional lives of the characters were real, raw, and really compelling. I know that when I need a mind-wipe, to forget the irritations, or problems, of reality (or to make time at the gym fly by, on the treadmill), an Eve Rabi book will do the trick. Her characters are entirely human, very well-drawn, and easy to connect with. The plotting is fascinating, seriously. You will forget the outside world when you read one of her books. I love that she writes series. Her characters, like the lovable, intense, and utterly masculine (yet kind and loving) Bear and the complex, vulnerable, increasingly fierce, Arena, wind their way into your heart. When I read her books, it's entirely a mind candy treat, where I curl up to read and spend several hours with a glass of Merlot, or a hot tea and chocolate mini-escape. I love her GRINGA - In the Clutches of a Ruthless Drug Lord and other series, as well. Rabi is a truly gifted writer. Can't wait to read her next book. Happy reading~*

At the end of book one, the characters have their HEA. The bad guy, Tom, is in jail. Arena, Bear and the children are set for life with the money that they've acquired. The future looks bright and rosey for our beloved couple. You could end there and feel warm and fuzzy with the outcome.

But, not Tom. Nope, he's a man with a plan for revenge and a very long arm.

Returning in book two, we realize how much of a sick mother****** Arena's ex-husband, Tom truly is. We thought he was sick, twisted, demented, and conniving in book one. But, in One Way or Another You Will Pay, we realize he will stop at nothing. Nothing can stop him, except maybe his death. Maybe.

This is a typical Eve Rabi sensation. She always manages to draw the reader in and implant them right in to the character's lives. You will experience a plethora of emotion as you turn the pages. There are always twists and turns and I, for one, can never put down one of her books, no matter how late it is, until I've finished. There is love and hate. Life and death. Security and dangers. Plans and obstacles. Allies and frenemies.

I give this book 5 stars because not only did Ms. Rabi pull me in to the story, the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. No one is who you think, everyone is out for themselves and caught up in the middle of it all is a family that just wants to have peace. Lies, conspiracy, embezzlement, sex, greed, kidnapping...it's all there. I really, really enjoyed this suspenseful read.

Excellent

I can't tell you the last time a book has hooked me in like this series. This book can't be read as a stand alone, it continues where book one left off. If you are looking for a book with a strong heroine that fights back, a crazy psycho, and a roller coaster ride you won't forgot, then this book is for you. There are so many twists and turns, that just when it's to where you think it's figured out.... something else happens. I have never wanted to throat punch some one as bad as in this book (and I have read tons of dark reads) This book is is for sure a thriller. Recommend this book 5*

Wow! This book was crazy! What can I say about Tom in this book…? I am actually speechless. After Reading “You Will Pay” (book 1) I did not think I could possibly hate Tom Botha any more than I already did. I was wrong! That bastard is just pure evil! It was nice to see how much Arena’s character had matured in this book. I was very happy about that. I also love the relationship that has developed between Bear and Warren.

Well Done Eve!! I didn't think it could get any better than book 1 , but you proved me wrong!! It's even better and my favorite of the two. They are both awesome books!! Eve Rabi fans don't miss out , you wont be disappointed!! What's that psycho Tom up to now?? Is he a changed remorseful man ?? Does he have a special date with karma ?? Is there finally justice for baby Sasha??? You will have to read book 2 and find out , don't miss out on how this book ends!!! Happy Reading :)

This is the follow on book from you will pay for leaving me.

It's a good book actually, I was reading it wanting to know more and more. My heart was in my mouth countless times, I felt for the characters in the book. It was a bit far fetched for my liking at times but on the whole I enjoyed it.
It was definitely an easy read.

All I have to say is that if you cry wolf one too many times, like Tom did at the end, then what happens is your own fault!!

Not for the light hearted though!

Eve does it once again, this book was fantastic I finished it in a day. I'm so glad Tom really did get his just desserts this time for real. There is a wonderful husband who could do anything to protect his wife and children. The old through some parts of the story I could have wrung Ingrids neck. Love love love this book.

God I love a baddie, but I can say definitively that Tom is probably the sickest, sadistic evil SOB I have ever come across in a book. Actually sends chills up my spine how truly evil and determined he is.

Then we have Bear. OMG I love him. I think we got more of a feel of him in this book. He absolutely adores Arena and their family.

Like with book 1, there are many twists and turns in this book which made for a truly great read.
