”Actions” starts with Batman jumping on a moving bus. He is after an old lady who got carjacked.

In the Batcave, Robin is concerned about the way Batman operates.

”All hero and no human.”

Alfred tells him the story of how the first Robin came to Wayne Manor.

”Unfortunately, master Bruce had no idea how to act around a child.”

He tells the story of how Bruce, seeing that Dick was having nightmares, disappeared and left Gotham for several days.

Later Alfred found out that he had tracked down the Haley circus. They figures that since the kicking of the Flying Graysons they’d be able to extract protection money from them with no problems.

”They did not anticipate the Batman’s arrival. Of course, no one ever does.”

During the background of Alfred telling this story there are multiple scenes of Batman helping people, getting hurt, fighting bad guys - even circus bad guys. And also making mistakes.

It’s kind of a puzzle to connect the different stories.

But when you do its quite a fun story about using his detective skills to notice what is really important in what he does.

It’s a little disjointed - for example, why are the circus people fighting Batman when he’s there to prevent a crime happening to them? Probably because it’s just good visuals.

But it works out to tell a couple of sweet stories.
