Yeah well, what can you say when your unaware mate encounters you randomly in the woods with you being completely naked?

“WHY ARE YOU NAKED?!”
Oliver looked down at his dirt-smeared body, his cock completely out for anyone to see. He lifted his gaze, gave me a little smirk, and then shrugged. “Well… you caught me.”
“Caught you? […] Why don’t you have any clothes on?”
“You’d figure it out sooner or later,” he sighed. “I have a confession to make…” I braced myself mentally. “I’m a… a wer---…” He paused, gritting his teeth. “I’m a nudist.”

Yeah, good one, Olli. 😂

At this point Charlie is pretty much unaware of everything. That there are paranormal beings out there, like werewolfs and that he is the mate of one. Of course Oliver knows he has to come clean eventually. Sooner rather than later but this was obviously not the moment for him. *lol


But Charlie has a secret of his own. Ironically, he’s not aware of that one either. *lmao



The author is new to me and I had a good time with this book so I might check out other books in the series someday but for now I’m only picking up Mark’s book. This last one seems to be a fan service by the author ’cause everybody loved him so much in this one here. Me too.

I honestly was so excited for this. Oliver was such a cute character in the first two books, but in this one it just wasn’t what I needed. Oliver was not what I expected in this book. The lion was ridiculous. He went far too long before telling Charlie the truth. Charlie’s reaction was kind of ridiculous, and when they did have their third act break up, the resolution left me kind of unsatisfied. There was no actual reconciliation after the whole demon thing. It was just, “Hey, now we’re together if you wanna be.” The breakup also seemed kind of cruel for the readers, having both a third act breakup and an external third act conflict really left me feeling uncomfortable. It should have been one or the other like most romance novels. If you’re going to have a double whammy like that, there needed to be a more sincere love declaration from both MC’s after and maybe one more chapter for them to settle after the drama of the demon before going into the epilogue. Overall, I found this book extremely disappointing. I had really high hopes for this series, but I am being slowly underwhelmed with every book that I read. It’s like every book so far in this series has just gotten progressively less editing, time and care put into it.

I really hoped Oliver would have had more personality like the others but with all the stuttering it drove me crazy. I thought it was just with his mate, then he would start. Terrible, and you need to edit please, way to many sentences without needed words or the wrong word. I had to read many page’s twice.

This book shows stronger and better character development, as well as an interesting story line. The author is getting better in all ways with each new book. Charlie is escaped but not without a few scars. Oliver onto a new job and it starting out with a bang! The dynamics of paranormal world with a life or death situation. The series follows three best friends that have their world tilted upside down. MM romance with a spice of magic

I didn't connect with this one as much as the first two. I love Oliver, but it easy to see he's putting on a bit of a front, but that wasn't really addressed. There was some drama with demon influenced dreams, but other things caused issues and then once the demon was gone he was all better...it just hit wrong with me.

The storyline is steeped in angst and self-doubt, and written mostly for the sexual connections. There was a bit of story plot, but not much character development to support it. Overall, just not what I expected from the preview.

Loved Oliver since Book 1, and as a Personal Trainer, I love reading about him with his clients (well done!)!

Call me a prude, but I absolutely do not want to hear that the potatoes served at the pack gathering have jizz on them, not to mention having to smell and see my friends being covered in cum. Guys, you can have sex in the woods, but can you please put the food aside, and then have a shower? Borrow a clean shirt? Use wet wipes?
It was just so inconsistent. Like I was not reading about the same characters in the same book. One moment Charlie is shy and afraid, and damaged goods, and the next he is full of confidence and keeps talking dirty to Oliver.
And Oliver...boy, I wanted to like him, but it was not easy. We are told he is so hilarious, but his "jokes" made me roll my eyes. That town must be REALLY boring if he is the funny one.
And why I have to listen to all of this thing he had with Parker 7 years ago. For something not important, they keep mentioning it every 2nd chapter... I've read second chance romances that moan less about their shared past.
I had to double check if it's really under 200 pages, because it felt utterly long. Not in a good way.
