The Tether Bond #2

The Sundered Path

Rate this book
Swamp rats must stop the Sundered from destroying all they know. Now connected to Asherah and the drake, Neb struggles to understand what these changes mean for him. The link is a way to power, but who can teach him how with the tethers gone? When the threat of the Sundered returns, Neb and his friends must lead the danger from Bastrop. Doing so puts them in danger, revealing a part of the power Neb had not known—but that his mother might have predicted. The Sundered are not the only danger, as a betrayal may be more devastating to them all. Even the power of the tether bonds may not be enough to save himself—and his friends—from complete destruction.

Interesting elements but flawed

There are some interesting characters, settings and ideas in this series. The biggest drawback is the repetition of the same thoughts of the main character. They were valid thoughts: I have this power, can I draw on it? Should we go back or keep searching? However repeated so frequently on almost every page it became very annoying. May not finish the series.

The Tether Bond - Book 2

Interesting read but not as captive as boob 1. There was a lot of inner mind conversation going on 3/4 of the book it seed and it never mounted to anything. Even though the story was supposed to be surrounded around Asherah(?). She hardly was even relevant to the whole story. I like the other 1/4 of the story just find because there was action and a whole lot of suspense.

I found this not as good as the first in the series. A little harder to get through, long winded in places that actually put me to sleep. A good read though!
