《寻觅中华》精选中华文明史和文化史上的代表性人物和经典故事，将中华文化的源源流长娓娓道来，试图从中引出一条清晰完整的中华文化发展之路，从而厘清中华文化的精髓及其成为四大文明古国中仅存的硕果的原因所在。作者从中华文化的源头黄帝开始，按照历史的前进脉络，逐一讲述了中华文化史上的璀璨明星，从老子、孔子、墨子到屈原、司马迁，从曹操父子、魏晋七贤到陶渊明、李白、杜甫，从王安石、司马光、朱熹到耶律楚材、曹雪芹。叙事宏大、条理清晰、语言精辟、发人深省。

About the author

Yu Qiuyu (余秋雨), born in 1946 in Yuyao, Zhejiang, is one of the well-known contemporary Chinese cultural and literary figures. With an enormous readership in China and overseas, his cultural explorations link China with the rest of the world and his bold and direct criticisms of certain cultural phenomena make him loved and detested in equal measure. In 1985, Yu became the youngest full professor in China at the age of 39, and later became the president of the Shanghai Theater Academy.
