Shifted #6

Cry Wolf

Rate this book
Cry Wolf is the 6th book in the shifted series introducing a whole new pack of shifters to love.

Lexi Stewart has known about shifters her entire life. Growing up the only human in the Reiner pack had its challenges, so she decides to try the human world for a change. When she takes a job at the primarily human company Wolfe Corp., The last thing she expects to find when the elusive owner comes to resolve a pressing issue is that Wolfe Corp’s owner is indeed a wolf.

When problems arise at his company, Gage Cheveyo decides to take matters into his own hands. Someone has embezzled over Two Million dollars in company money. While interviewing the staff to determine who might have done this, Gage is intrigued by the feisty red headed human. Unlike all his other human employees, she doesn’t seem afraid of him.

Getting involved with a human is the last thing Gage wants. Asking her to assist in finding the person behind the missing funds doesn’t help his plan to avoid her. It only puts her in danger.

Cry Wolf

Great series by a great author. This is Gage and Lexi’s story. Someone is out for revenge over an accident that happened 20 years ago. He is caught and no one is hurt except the human he turned against her will.

It was OK. The H was quite bland in this book but the h was very good. Smart, human and she worked hard. I liked her character. But I found their romance predictable. It looks as if her brothers will feature in the next books.

Lynn Leite planned a five book series ... her characters have other plans. Gage Cheveyo is the last of the Cheveyo clan without a mate. The threat that the first 5 books dealt with has been taken care of. Lexi Stewart (nee Woodland) is the human daughter of the Reiner Pack's Beta Lars Woodland. Now the fun ensues. Gage owns Wolfe Corp. were Lexi works as an interior designer. We have thefts and espionage and mating fever and most of the Cheveyo clan showing up along with Lexi's 5 brothers. I really enjoyed this book , if you haven't already read the first 5 books, then you may not get a lot of the comments. Each book definitely builds on the previous book and it appears that the Woodland clan has their stories to tell! I can't wait.

That was the review that I left on Amazon - I don't like to leave spoilers and I don't see any point in rewording the blurb that usually draws me to a book in the first place. I've read the first 5 books and I really like the whole family feel of seeing the characters from previous books. I am absolutely delighted that the Shifted series will be continued with the Woodland brothers and with new adventures.

Enjoyable read. Decent writing style--dialogue flowed well, plot moved at a good steady pace. I've read almost all of the other books in the shifted series. I realize this book is part of a spin-off series, and it kind of helps to have read them to know the characters, but I don't feel it's totally necessary to understand the plot. I really enjoyed the main characters, and I liked the suspense/mystery aspect. I didn't think it was very spicy, but rather set the reader up to use their imagination. The only complaint was the lack of conflict between the H and h. I get the whole "mating fever" thing the author introduced us to, but I felt the relationship progressed way to quickly. Still, an entertaining read.

So let me start out with saying that I have NOT read all the books in the series. As a matter of fact, I didn't like the 2nd book much at all and was turned off the whole series after.
However, this teaser on the book had me, so I went for it!
So glad I did! This book was excellent with a totally possessive alpha and a great, fun heroine. The story was great to read and easy to follow along even though I'd clearly missed some books since my last read in this series.
I do recommend this book and can even say, you don't have to read the others for this to make sense. I will definitely check out more reads from this author.

Great story

I really enjoy this series. I wish there were more information on the members of the family who already had books. How many children they had etc. I hope there will be a story how Royal and Gemma met.

Well written and very entertaining. I always love a 'were' story that takes a different approach to explaining the hierarchy of a pack. This one explains the significance of the fur coloring of each wolf. Black =alpha, Brown = common, white = rare/possibly holy. A good read.
