Over the past year Allison’s marriage to her childhood love, Bart Allan, has been a “blast.” Literally. She’s lived through terrorists and madmen, murder and mayhem—all in the name of love and her job as Bart’s partner in Interpol’s anti-terrorist organization, Anastasia.
But Allison’s adventures are just beginning. At the moment, she’s in Sri Lanka, trying to find Bart, who disappeared two months ago. There’s just one little problem: an untimely fall from an elephant has left her with a very big case of amnesia. How can she save her husband when she doesn’t even remember who he is?
This is Allison’s most exciting adventure yet as she tangles with the Tamil Tigers, a group of revolutionaries who are orchestrating a civil war in Sri Lanka and smuggling sapphires out of the country to fund their cause. Then there’s Oz Barlow, who claims to be her husband. Will he tell her the truth and help her find Bart?
This was one of my favorites in this series. Mostly because there was a lack of mush since Bart was gone most of the book. The story in this one has some fun twists.
I loved this book it was interesting at first it thought that it was kinda messed up when Oz told Allison that he was her Husband but it got better And I love this series.

Lynn is a master! Have two more books in the series waiting for me at the post office! Can't wait to get them and get started! Well? What are you waiting for??
Allison is on her way to Sri Lanka, looking for Bart who has been missing for several months. Of course, poor Allison falls victim to one of the most cliched plot devices: she falls from and elephant and hits her head, developing amnesia. How can she find her beloved Bart when she doesn't remember him? Suddenly another man is claiming to be her husband and she doesn't know who to trust. Despite the melodrama, I actually liked this one better than the last. The setting was interesting and Gardner does a good job of bringing real-world politics into the mix.
The adventures just keep getting more exciting. Allison and her family celebrate her completed training as Anastasia's newest agent. At the same time word comes into headquarters from her husband Bart in Sri Lanka. And then, just as quickly another message that the agent is "down." Reluctantly, Allison's Father, and head of Anatasia, gives her her first assignment to find her husband. Exciting and terrifying like the previous four novels.
Does ANYONE out there think that what Oz did was totally and completely OUT OF LINE!!! Dude she's taken! Get a life! More than that she's a religious woman who won't settle for less than a temple marriage! NOT ON YOUR LIFE! I mean what if they hadn't found Bart when they did and Allison decided she wanted kids?? You would have dug yourself a HUGE hole dude! I hate Oz so much!
Amnesia and love triangles are hard topic to use in a novel effectively - tolerated this pretty well but Oz was, I don't know, too blatant in his admiration? Slightly too open about his desires? The main character is slightly annoying but also admirable in her spunkiness. I think most would like this story.
another great book in the series!!! i loved the settings and storyline, i have had a crush on bart since book 1 and this book makes him all the better. this book had me going through a mix of emotions from sad to mad to happy to wondering....an amazing book
A fun series to revisit, I've read these books several times. Very clean, well researched, and enough danger and intrigue to make them exciting. The amnesia story line is interesting, and a little fun to play with. A great LDS series.
When I read these books in middle school, I loved them! I couldn't get enough. Coming back to reread them, I see their flaws, but I still think they're worth the read. They are fast paced, clean, educational, and easy, quick reads.
I really enjoyed this series. It was very fun, exciting, and romantic. The romance is between a Husband and Wife which makes it even more fun to read. (for us LDS people)
i really liked this book to. for future notice i will most likely always put her books as a 5 rating because i just love how she writes and is just a good storyteller.
I LOVE this series, but #5 and #1 have the best heart-stopping story lines. I've read this book several times over the years and each time never disappoints.
