Every family has its secrets... but mine hides a shadowy, supernatural reality that I've just found out about. I thought I was just an ordinary student. Teetering on the edge of another monotonous academic year, my life was mundane at best. That was until my twin sister, my other half, vanished into the ether after a party. I reported her disappearance to the authorities. Yet their blank stares and hollow words confirmed what I feared they wouldn't lift a finger to find her. Enter Gunner Howlson...
Dominant..
Arrogant.
A man exuding a primal aura that made my skin prickle in fear, and something... more. He was an alpha-hole, yet he held out a tantalizing he could help me find Anita. My sister hadn't just disappeared. She was seized, whisked away to a secret breeding factory hidden in the shadowy underbelly of our world. A place where nightmares are born and innocents transformed into soldiers for a macabre army. Can I master my latent powers in time? Will I rescue Anita from her dire fate? Or will I plunge into the darkness, forever lost in the shadows?
The fate of my sister, and perhaps the world, rests in my hands.
Sadly there just isn’t anything other than a great idea for a story that I can love about this book. Completely surface is an understatement, no character depth that same, along with no real backstory… or really anything that makes a well written book stand out. Gosh, I hate to give any book with at least an understandable storyline a one star, so I’ll round it up.
I received Moon Pledged in return for an honest review from the author.
Gabby is struggling to make it though life after the loss of her parents she still sits at home watching the shows they used to watch and cooking the food her mom cooked. While her twin sister has accepted and continued to live. When her twin wants her to attend a rave she declines but her sister never comes home. Gabby has to find Anita but the cops don't seem to care and the only one willing to help is Gunner but his theory of werewolves is a little far fetched for Gabby. At least until introduces her to a secret world that her parents keep from them. Will she find Anita before it's to late?
I love Gabby she reminds me a lot of myself I lost my mom about the same age she did. I still all these years later cook just like her and watch our favorite shows. So I felt I could really connect with her except I wasn't lucky enough to have a secret world full of werewolves in my family tree. While he's kind an alpha-hole which is my favorite type of guy I really like Gunner he's the perfect complement to Gabby and they have this sweet chemistry.
Moon Pledged is the first in an exciting new series filled with secrets and intrigue sprinkled with romance. Like true Sara Snow fashion the book just sucks you in I ended up reading it in one session and dying that it was over. I need to know what's going to happen next. I've always loved the werewolf theme and each new series by Sara Snow always take a new unique spin on the werewolf concept which refreshes and makes it new and interesting.
I truly loved Moon Pledged the characters are amazing you can't help loving them and the story is beautiful written. Sara Snow is a very talented storyteller and every book I've read from her has been just fabulous. I highly recommend checking out Moon Pledged but really check them all out each series she's written several wonderful werewolf series.
This is the start of an exciting new series. Gabby & Anita are twins who have lost their parents and whereas Anita has accepted the loss and wants to move on with her life, Gabby finds herself stuck until one night her sister fails to come home. The journey to find her sister starts and only Gunner with his wild, supernatural ideas, will help her and shows her a whole new world that her parents hid from them. With incredible world building you find yourself drawn into this world and its story filled with drama, danger, suspense and romance and I am excited to read more.
Perfect read for any werewolf lovers out there. An incredible start to a brand new series and Sara has definitely delivered. A perfect way to pass the time while the kids play with their friends and you want a distraction from everyday jobs. With characters and a storyline so thoroughly fleshed out, it draws you into the supernatural pages to join them on their quest to find answers to Gabby's sister's disappearance. Will they get any closer to finding out what happened to her sister Anita, I'm definitely looking forward to finding out what happens next, that cliffhanger was unexpected.
This was one good roller coaster ride. Gabby had no idea she was a shifter and things get more crazy from there. The group comes together to try and figure out what her powers are and all she can think about is her sister and where she is. Gabby makes a huge mistake and everyone avoids her because of it. At the end she finds out that her father worked for the ones who took her sister. That had to suck! I can’t wait to see what happens next.
what a great beginning to a new series i really like Gabby and Gunner and the hunt to find Gabby's twin sister Anita. im so excited for this series and cant wait for book 2
Loving it so far, Gabby is a little stubborn as well as Gunner. But the two of them are more a like than they will admit. Looking forward to reading the next book.
Ok y'all this is a really fast read, but don't let that deture you, because it was great. Not the typical from Sara, but still great. Gabby and twin live together and are in college. Her sister doesn't come home one night from a rave. Gabby goes to the police but doesn't get anywhere. Enter Gunner a wilf shifter looking for others that have gone missing. Gabby soon discovers that she is a wolf shifter and that is why her sister is kidnapped. She starts to learn about her new nature while trying to find her sister.
What a fantastic story!! This is a really inviting plot & it sucked me in from page 1...
After loosing her sister to a group of unfriendly people, Gabby finds herself alone & depressed. She goes to a rave, meets an interesting guy who shows her her true life. Gunner wants to show Gabby what & where he has some friends, they bond over what happens to the all of them at full moon.
In the end, Gabby finds out a home truth about her father & she cannot believe what's going on....
This really intrigued me & am dying to red the next story. Thanks Sara for another great series I'm sure I'll love!!!
