War. If you’d told me months ago I’d be at the center of an active war between good and evil, I’d have laughed and insisted you surrender your car keys.

Fate is funny like that.

Everything I thought I didn’t want, I got—and then some—yet, somehow, I don’t know how to live without it all. My world isn’t complete without my Duality, my friends, and the five people who’ve become so vital to it all. Surrendering any piece means losing a part of myself I can’t afford to let go.

Leave them to keep them. One way or another, I’ll find my way home. Where that home will be and what it’ll look like is anyone’s guess.

NOTE : This is the final part of a four-book series and should only be read after Duality, Duplicity, and Discord.

TW : This book contains open-door romance and on-page violence, including death. Not all of the love interests are men. Detailed trope tags can be found on the author’s website.

This series blows my mind away in the best ways possible. A plot driven spicy open door romance that’ll keep you up late at night.
Jex is the most complex open minded FMC with magical powers that will blow you away. Her relationships are everything you wish for but instead of one she has 5…
The wrap up was perfection, there was no stone unturned that left you wondering well what about this person. Every single thread woven together from the last three novels were gifted to us as a present that makes me wish I had more because I just loved them so much. But I’m also so so happy to know that everything I had questions on were answered!

♥️Why Choose
💙 FF, MMFFMM, FM 18+ Content
♥️ plot driven
💙 amazing magic system
♥️ Snarky, sassy FMC

If you enjoy; urban fantasy romance, plot driven, amazing world building, diversity, and complexity that’ll leave you hungover until you complete all 4 books. This is it!

The final book in the Duality series, I have mixed feelings about the series ending, but this was a fitting end. This book is not meant to be read as a standalone. I do highly recommend downloading the playlist and listening to it while reading. It really made the reading experience so much better as it kept the energy of the book at a high level.

We start off as Jex has left with the Abram. The rest of the Quad is biding their time before using the tracking chip they embedded in her to rescue her. Many of the group are split up - Ryan is healing and Pinch is with him. Eli, Derek and Nicky are impatiently waiting for the right time to be reunited.

Will Jex be able to determine the master plan so they can stop it in time?

This book has all of the action and heat the rest of the series contains. What a superb series!!

I've already said it to Becca, so I'll say it here. My only bone to pick with this series is that Eli and Ryan don't develop a more intimate relationship between the two of them. The same, to a lesser degree, is true for Ryan and Pinch, and even Nicky and Pinch.

Every dynamic among the group was unique and different, a true feat of writing with so many characters, but I was deeply invested in the threads between EACH one of them.

That aside, I loved the way it all wrapped up. I had a gut feeling about the plot reveal, and I'm so glad I was right! A full circle moment that allows our leads to do what they've always wanted. Be together freely.

The end to an amazing series

I was given an ARC of the final book in the Duality series, Dissent. My review is my own honest opinion, and I will do my best not to have blatant spoilers spelled out in it without a break and spoilers warning.

To say I love this series is an understatement it has been one of my favorites since I read the ARC of book 1. Becca's writing keeps you on the edge of your seat at each twist and turn she is able to weave, Dissent lived up to that and then some. I do feel this was the perfect ending for this series, and I do really hope for some novellas about the next chapter.

Seeing all of my questions answered, even if in ways I hadn't nessacarily expected, was amazing. Was I dming Becca some snippets of my thoughts as I devored Dissent? Hell yeah. Did Dissent have some cliffhanger esque chapter endings? Yes, I couldn't put the book down. Was there a heartbreaking moment that made me struggle not to cry when I fully grasped exactly what Bebe's power did and how she had been using it throughout the entire series? Also, yes. Will I fully recommend this book to anyone and everyone who asks for an urban fantasy why choose romance series that is completed with a HEA? Of course.

Some spoilers ahead

I loved the insight we got into the supes especially shifters regarding their first change through Ryan's ordeal after the ending of Discord; I loved the comraderie of the whole crew minus Jex being there to yank him back from death and help him change that first time. Werebear Ryan is now very much up there with Pinch as my fave just because of his playfulness as a bear and bear shifter fits him so perfectly because he really is the mama bear of the group and will have all of their backs always.

Jex is My Chosen. Say no more Pinch. I loved seeing him be nervous about asking her and not wanting to come right out and say so; making Jex finally have to say it first.

Ok no more spoilers from me but I had to mention those two. The following ratings are based on me and my personal tastes.

4/5 🌶
Triggers/CWs: This book contains on-page sexual content and violence, including death and character death, anxiety, grief, blood, fire, depression, torture, stalking/kidnapping, gun violence, and dubcon and other topics that may not be comfortable for survivors. It contains multiple group scenes and FF in various forms

10/10

I’m a sucker for a hea and we got one.

Becca Fogg is an author I’ve only just come across, and let me tell you, this series that this incredible author has created is not only amazing, fun and unique. The collection of twists, chaos and action. But a damn good game changer for anybody who loves and enjoy a series that is so unpredictable and entertaining. Binge worthy aswell as addictive. X-men meets supernatural with the witches and shifters. You def don’t know what you’re getting into once you start but you definitely won’t stop.

Fuck me gently with a chainsaw. What just happened??? How'd this end and why did it end, I somehow convinced myself this would go one for at least 5 more books. I'm already feeling the emptiness setting in.. farewell to whoever is reading this for I shall drown in blankets and chocolate until I find another series this fucking banging *wink wink*.
✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️
To summarise, fucking 100/10 would read again and I'm already subscribed to the newsletter so I know where to go for the next book craving.

One of the most well written RH series I’ve read

This series just kept getting better. It ended so well, with everything falling together and no holes in the story. I was HIGHLY impressed, I read a lot of RH. The diverse characters and their growth made this story come together. ALSO I HAVE TO MENTION THE CHILLS THAT I GOT AT LIKE THE CHAPTER RIGHT BEFORE THE END…. Chills. A special moment. Thank you, Becca Fogg for weaving such a beauty story, a web of amazing characters, a “mesh” of love that was a thrill to read. 😌

Let me say this….

I’ve never met a RH that I liked, but after speed reading through these 4 books, I can acknowledge that this one wasn’t so bad. I’d the sci-fi/fantasy aspect of it. Though I’m not sure if that category is the correct genre. And I enjoy smut just as much as the next person but I could’ve made sure with a lot less sex scenes. Overall it was a good read. BEAUTIFUL cover art!!!!

DNF 50% I just… can’t care any more. The unique addition to the group for a PNR RH felt like cheating and effectively deterred any building interest in the characters who encouraged it until I was impassive about relationships and people I had previously enjoyed getting to know and lives that I no longer value or hold interest in.

This book is 100% worth the wait or the cliffhanger. The small details that the author adds makes this book so relatable. Dissent wraps up the series so well… oh and there are swords, spice, and some things not so nice!!

Grab a Dr. Pepper and fasten your seatbelts! The plot development and character growth in this finale are on point and keeps you on this roller coaster ride until the very end. The sass 🔥 and spice 🌶️ hold strong in this deliciously perfect ending to the series.

A great ending to a great book series. Never saw the end coming, it was 100% a big surprise, and I can usually figure this stuff out.

I received an ARV of this book for my honest review.

Excellent book. Very busy with different sides against each other. The only thing that disappointed was the ending, seemed a bit abrupt to me !

🤬 = OUR FAVORITE F WORD.

Okay ya'll, for the book:

We got a beautiful 🤬 wrap up of the series, the pacing was phenomenal, imosho and everything I felt wrapped up very naturally and intuitively. The spice 🤬 kicked up in these last two books but dang it did it 🤬 go hard in this one -hehe-

For the series, because this is the final book:

If you are an early 2000's PNR (paranormal romance)/ Urban Fantasy girlie like me, but you always wanted more spice, more variety, more diversity in the books, less fatphobia and misogamy: Might I 🤬 suggest this series. Let's start with some basic stats right:

✨ New found power
✨ Underground supernatural world
✨ Snarky, high humor FMC

BAM-you got it.

✨ High heat, with spice that not only KNOCKS THE 🤬 UP as we go, but also has FF for the queers like myself to eat the 🤬 up.

You 🤬 GOT IT.

✨ Why Choose w/ a bad @$$ Polycule
✨ rep for: interracial romance, queer/sapphic relationships, and Jewish FMC
✨ Enemies to Lovers vibes
✨ Possessive + obsessive love interests who learn to share
✨ If you like claiming, marking, primal, edging fun times yall look no furrrrther! It's a must read, it really is I cannot sing the praises enough honestly.

I'll just keep listing things if I don't leave now so all I'll say is that this was a terrific series. The conclusion is hard earned and fully deserved, and it'll be on my most memorable series list forever.
