As an avid reader of David Baldacci, Vince Flynn, John Grisham, Nelson Demille, Michael Connelly, John Sanderson, etc., I admit to reading John Avanzato’s first book only because I had run out of authors to read. I was captivated from his first book with his main character, Dr. John Cesari, a refined doctor with a little bit of thug in him. I immediately read all his books, the last of which was Sea Sick. While I prefer the mystery/thriller/crime genre, all his books are infused with humor, but Sea Sick was different in that it was packed with humor that had me laughing out loud too many times to count. What I love most about this author is you never know what you will get. Some authors have such a repetitive form of writing that it almost feels like you have read their books before. Not so with John Avanzato. He evolved yet again with Pace Yourself. Dr. Cesari must fight for his life to find his ex and her children and to find out why they have gone missing in this edge-of-your-seat thriller. Absolutely can’t wait to find out what John Avanzato has in store for us in his next book. If you haven’t tried this author, you definitely want to read Pace Yourself.

Avanzato has done it again!! Great read! Cesari has gotten himself into yet another scrape! He enlists Vito, a pretty cardiologist and a beautiful PI to help solve it!! I totally love that Vito found himself a southern woman!! You will not regret this book or any book in the series. Very engaging and usually with a surprise ending!

John Avanzato never ceases to deliver with his novels of the adventures of Dr. John Cesari Gastroenterologist/mobster background. I have read 8 of these novels and they just get better. so if your looking for a new read then buckle up and start with Hostile Hospital and enjoy. You won’t regret it

The best

I’ve read each book and this is my favorite. It was Cesari at his finest. I loved that he was still a bad boy but Dr. John Cesari was soft, caring, sexy, and a hardball player all at the same time.
I’m ready for more.

Once again the author has crafted a story with some unpredicted turns. The book kept me not wanting to stop reading even though I had other things I needed to do.

I hope he keeps on writing and look forward to the next adventure John Cesari find himself wrapped up in.

Great Book

I enjoyed this version of John Cesari very much. This was a more settled in version of Cesari as detective and I liked it. A great mystery.
