The Notorious Five have always been the talk of the city. Wanted for organized crimes in drug trafficking, money laundering, and arms dealings. Nothing would please me more than to see them all behind bars, repenting for the crimes they've committed against the city. This was the second in The Notorious Five series, and I can't tell you how much I loved this book!! It was a dark, dirty, hot, sexy read with a HFN ending. It was my first read from the series, and I had no problem following the story or characters, BUT I will be going back and reading the first because this one was so good.
I fell in love with Lexi and Trigger from the jump. She was so headstrong and sure of herself (I love a strong female lead), he was a cocky sh*t and who doesn'tlove that in an MMC?! They were on opposite sides of the law, but they just fit so well together, and I couldn't get enough of them.
Their chemistry was off the charts hot!! Those scenes were top-notch 🥵. Great writing, fabulous plot and hot as fûck smut, what more can you ask for?! A definite must read.This story just had it all for me, and I have high hopes for the rest of the series!

I said I would give a change to the author and read book 2 of the series and I don't regret it. Even for a second!
This book was totally amazing.
Long story short. Lexi is a detective assigned to find the killer of a murdered woman. Her first and main suspect is none other than Trigger Colombo, one of the Notorious Five, a mafia boss. Lexi is so torn by the dilemma she finds herself in as she slowly grows accustomed to his presence in her life.
From their first encounter, the chemistry between those two is evident, and even as the relationship goes on and the thing among them is said to be only physical it is far from that.
The tension between Trigger and Lexi was explosive, their hot moments one better than the other and even if there was a heartbreak for both leads -and the reader- at one point the finale was perfect.
Many readers chose Trigger as their favorite book boyfriend and I was wondering why. I got my answer and I have him on my list, too. If you want to know the reason you only have to read this.
It's a great read, fast pacing with everything you need in a book: emotions, action, spicy moments, cliffhangers, and a nice written plot.
I highly recommend it to any reader.

Trigger Colombo!! This book gave me everything I wanted. I was interested in knowing more about both of the main characters. This is a series but they can also be read as a standalone. I am coming to you with a review from the series standpoint. If you read the first book in this series, you will notice that these books run concurrently. There are things mentioned in the first book that we finally get an explanation or background for in this book. I love authors that take the time to plan out books. Ms. Dryer is great at this.
Lexie Lopez is a detective in the NYPD. She has goals and aspirations to rise in rank. She is dedicated and she closes her cases. At least she used to. Trigger Colombo is one of the Notorious Five. He stumbled into her life because of a case, and now her life will never be the same. Lexie’s best friend, Cassie, is an attorney representing another member of the Five. Readers will love the back and forth between these two. Trigger and Lexie love the fight and, of course, the making up. Will Lexie leave her dream behind for a notorious criminal? Y’all this book is so worth your time. This series is a must read.

This is book two of The Notorious Five Series. It was a good read. The story flowed nicely and really delved into the relationship between Trigger and Lexi.
Trigger and Lexi are honestly perfect for each other. They are both stubborn and trying to do the right thing. The only problem is they are on different sides of the law and what is right for one might not be right for the other. I do notice with this story that over time Trigger is the one wanting more from their relationship and Lexi is trying to ignore the elephant in the room. Only when push comes to shove does she acknowledge how she feels and embraces what they have together.
You get to revisit a bit with the last couple, Axel and Cassie. You get to see the continuation of their HEA. It was nice to revisit but Axel really needs to clean up his act a bit so he can continue with his HEA.
It leaves you in a good spot with this Trigger and Lexi, but definitely wanting to read the next story as soon as you can. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.

I absolutely loved this book!
Trigger was automatically my favorite in the fist book and I couldn’t wait to read more about him!
And he did not disappoint!
Lexie is a perfect FMC! She is feisty and stubborn but super caring and loving for her people
When these two came together I knew it was going to be explosive and it was
The scenes 😉 were just woah!!!
But the plot of the book was absolute perfection and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next
I loved the hea it wasn’t typical but it was perfect for these two
I can’t wait to read the next book

I really enjoyed the second instalment in this series of books, it was packed with action and romance. I love Lexie she is a strong, sassy, sexy, badass FMC and the way she takes no crap from anyone makes for a great read. Seeing her and Trigger butt heads is great fun and this inevitably leads to some explosive making up 😜. I also loved the push and pull between the two of them as it made it that much sweeter when they finally gave in and admitted their feelings for one another. Fantastic read and looking forward to reading more in the series.

Probably my favorite male lead of the series. I enjoyed the back and forth of the main characters. What I appreciate about Sophie’s writing isn’t hat the characters don’t go through drastic changes. The changes they exhibit are believable, given the length of time that passes in her stories. This makes her characters more relatable to me.

This is the second book in the series. I love the series so far. This one featured Lexie who was a detective and she was trying to catch Trigger. She thought he was guilty of something. She couldn’t prove he did anything wrong as much as she wanted to. Things totally changed for them. Cassie and Axel had a prominent role in this book as well. So good.

I love how you’re able to see connections between book 1 and book 2 😭 The different POVs are so helpful in piecing stories together. I enjoyed every moment!

Trigger wasn't the only one handcuffed! I couldn't put this book down!
Once I started in, I didn't want to stop. Trigger and Lexie are from two different worlds, both fighting and working against the other. They should hate each other. Neither belong in the other's world, but neither of them cares about that and together is what matters most.
Lexie is a baddie that is a perfect match for Triggers bad boy vibes.
The Notorious Five series is so well crafted that I read these books without pause.
Sophie crafts the storyline so well and keeps it flowing between all of the books so incredibly well, that it wasn't a harsh decision to read.
