Little did I know he wasn't just a regular bad he was a villain with a very dark past. And now with our unborn child I find myself in the crossfire of a war.
I knew there was something otherworldly about him. That flawless skin, that handsome face, that perfect body. The way he hungers for me through those tiger-gold eyes.
Only later did I learn he was an immortal elf, a century older than I. His deeds had been so dark I did not believe he could redeem himself to be with me. But I saw goodness buried deep within his soul. I clung to the flickering hope that love can win.
But the odds are against that.
He faces an impossible choice that will change his destiny forever. He must choose between me and our unborn child, or his own clan. If he chooses me, they will brand him a traitor and hunt him down.
At stake is the future of humans and elves. Also at stake is the future of our child, half human and half elf. And the fate of his soul.
Dark and spicy. Forced captivity. (A little humor too). Stand-alone though enjoyment might be maximized if the two prior books are read.
This book is the third in an integrated series, but it works perfectly well as a stand-alone. I know, because I have not read the two earlier volumes, and I found it to be quite easy to get into and to follow, and did not feel any confusion or any need to read the earlier books in order to make sense of this one, which is not often the case when you dip into a series in the middle. All the background you needed for the story to make sense was present in the book itself. I did enjoy it enough to want to read the other books, and I will go back and pick them up at some point, just for the pleasure of spending more time in that universe, but I don’t feel an urgent need to do so in order to understand the book I just read.
The book is more or less an enemies to lovers story, although Chloe didn’t realize that Gideon was a dangerous enemy at the beginning, and by the time she realized it, he had already begun to change. But I do love anti-heroes, and enjoy watching them soften into a more loving but still flawed person (or elf, in this case). My main disappointment with this book is that Gideon became so nice, he completely lost his edginess. I quite enjoy reading about the D/s dynamic, and from Gideon’s fantasies, he would have provided just that, but once he became enamored of Chloe, his dominance seemed to fall by the wayside. So for me, the spice was less spicy than I would have liked, because it wasn’t served with a side of kink. But the story was interesting, the steam was steamy, and the characters were likeable (although Gideon, of course, was the one you like to hate, or hate to like, or whatever).

I loved this book, the third in the Immortal Elves series and I couldn’t put it down.
Chloe met Gideon in the first book, “Claimed by my Immortal Elf” as he was leaving Jenna’s flat and had asked for his number but Jenna had tried to put her off. At the start of this she has been sent back to the UK to get pharmaceutical investment opportunities for her firm. Remembering that Gideon had worked in that sector she was hoping for another chance to connect with him.
She ignores Jenna and Stefan’s warnings and travels to Wales to find him, and sparks fly when she finally manages to speak with him. I loved how you can see him wanting to be a different person from the start but how can he when it goes against his clan believes. Can Chloe help him to find a better way to help the elves?
This book can be read as a stand alone, but it’s easier if you have read the previous books and know the characters, their backgrounds and what they have previously done (though there are some reminders); and it was great to see Jenna, Stefan and Zephyr again.
I loved the combination of action, humor chemistry and really steamy romance that this book has. I would strongly recommend this and can’t wait for the next in the series.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Saved by My Immortal Elf was a quick, contemporary fantasy read. I did enjoy Chloe and Gideon’s story, especially as someone who does enjoy reading the pregnancy trope at times, and villains definitely deserve their own chance at redemption.
It did feel very insta love; yes, there were key events in through the book that lead to points of doubt and conflict, but in general, it felt like there was little development when it came to the emotions. They were there from the beginning, and with Gideon’s past attitude towards humans especially, I do think that gradual development would have worked better with his characteristics.
However, it was still an enjoyable read! I did not read the first two books of the series and had no issues understanding what was going on; I think reading the first two would definitely provide a lot more context and probably allow Gideon’s redemption to feel a lot more rewarding as you would have read about what deemed him to be villainous in the first place, but I found it a good read either way.
Saved by my Immortal Elf (Elves Among Us:Forbidden Love book 3) will make your jaw drop! I would recommend this book. I would strongly recommend reading the series in order.
******** This book is a continuation of book 2 Captured. ******** IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BOOK 2 THIS IS GOING TO BE A SPOILER... READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

Gideon Thallon was against human/elf relationships. When Jenna's cousin Chloe Young shows up his plan is to use her against the other clan. Chloe wants information. They go to the bar and Chloe drinks a little too much, her car got towed, and now she is in bed with Gideon. How is she going to get herself out of this situation or will Gideon change his ways?
I absolutely loved this book, it definitely intrigued me. I liked how the author wrote Gideon and Chole's story. As I read this book, I didn't realize how decent of a person or rather elf Gideon was. He had a good soul, he just went about his plans in such an obtuse way. Which made the other elves think he was an evil maniacal genius in the first book. I actually liked this different side of him, the author made you think and enjoy the book. I also enjoyed learning a bit more about Chole. All we knew about her from a reader's standpoint was that she was Jana's cousin. I have received a complimentary ARC for a fair and honest review
Saved by My Immortal Elf is a fantastic, paranormal romance book. Well-developed characters populate the book. (Many brought forward from previous books yet this book can be read as a standalone.) An intriguing and well-written plot. L. E. Sunwick masterfully combines the human and elven worlds at their crossing points. Can the two worlds work together for the good of our planet? An enjoyable read from page one to the end.

The start was pretty slow and it took a bit for me to get into it, but the book picked up and so did my interest. In the beginning I wasn't sure I liked the mmc and I couldn't identify with the mfc but when the book picked up that changed as well. The science-y talk of bio warfare and bioengineering kind of made my mind wander a bit, but the overall story was good. I would have liked a bit more in the epilogue but it wrapped up the story nicely
In episode five, Season Five, of the SFFRomCast we were talking about books we enjoyed featuring the "second chance/secret baby" trope. You can find out here why this was one of Emma's picks:
I really enjoy the flow of these books. Everything comes back around to see the whole story. In this book we meet Chloe who has a fascination for Gideon. Relationships never start easy, but thier rocky road could end them before they even start. Incredible journey, page turner love story.
I highly recommend this book.

Oh my god this book was so intriguing and I was quickly pulling into the book from page one. I love how well written the characters are, and how easy it was to fall in love with boy characters. This book was well written, and the author thoroughly explained the characters in good detail. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
This book was not as captivating as the previous ones but it was still an enjoyable read. I would have liked to see a deeper connection between the characters but I think the author is setting up the foundation for the next book. I cannot wait to read the next one.

My first book in this series and my introduction to L. E. Sunwick, Saved by My Immortal Elf is an easy-to-read book with all the ingredients: insta-attraction, secrets, betrayals, elves, magic, a sassy FMC, enemy to lovers, .....
This is a very good PNR storyline with danger, secrets, a baby, growing feelings, twists and turns, and very good secondary characters. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
