Free-spirited artist Harper McGee is happy to go wherever the wind takes her…until her flight pattern sends her back to Brentsville, New York for her beloved grandmother's funeral. Harper’s grief turns to shock, however, when she discovers her grandmother has named her sole proprietor of her candy shop, Luscious. But she has no intention of being anchored to one place, and anyway, she doesn’t know the first thing about running a kitchen or a business. Selling Luscious is the only viable option— until the shop catches fire due to old wiring. Fixing the damage requires major work, and if Harper wants to put it on the market, she needs major help.

Thrill-seeking firefighter Aaron Fisher has never walked away from a challenge or a friend. So when a fellow firefighter is hurt on a call and can’t complete a side job for his contracting company, Aaron’s quick to jump in. He’s done plenty of fix ‘er ups for his buddy in the past, and despite his silver spoon upbringing and his no-holds-barred attitude, swinging a hammer suits Aaron just fine. That is, until he discovers the client is the same impetuous woman he forcibly dragged from the flames of Brentsville’s local candy shop.

The more time Harper and Aaron spend at Luscious, the hotter their attraction burns, daring them both to shed their tough outer layers to reveal the tender desires beneath. But when a buyer makes Harper the offer of a lifetime, she must choose between roots and wings. Can two people who live in the moment learn to see past the moment, or will Aaron and Harper always live their lives pushing the line?

The last book in The Line series did not disappoint. Pushing the Line is a quick and easy read full of love and a sexy Fireman. Aaron and Harper are both crazy adventurous people and were perfect for each other.

Harper is an artist who just became owner of her late Grandmother's candy shop. Aaron is a fireman and construction worker who helps fix the damages to the shop after a fire. Together Aaron and Harper are an explosive couple.

I loved this series and all the character went together so well and were really interesting. Especially Aaron and Harper who did some crazy things, like jump out of perfectly good planes for fun. I'm glad I picked up these books and gave the author a try. So far this series is the only thing I have read by Kimberly Kincaid but it will certainly not be the last thing I read by her.

1.5 stars.

Still safe and engagingly written, this one followed the formula for this series. Sweet and loyal H, insecure h with a chip on her shoulder, some pushing away on both parts, they fall into bed, fast forward a few weeks and the h makes a mistake and breaks up with the H, she enlists some help to make a statement to he H to win him back, the end.

This wasn’t bad, but it was boring. Being the fourth book of a series that followed the same old pattern, I can’t rate it any higher. This was a nice series of shorts though. They were all safe and none of the Hs were manhoes. That definitely counts for something in my book.

This is the delectable Aaron Fisher's story who we met in Outside the Lines. He's Blake's sexy cousin. You will quickly see in this review that I love Aaron. I wanted more of him and the awesome Kimberly Kincaid has delivered. Boy did she deliver.

I kind of inhaled this novella in a couple of hours, I didn't want to put it down. I admit I have gone back for another read since. Aaron and his heroine Harper McGee are undeniably perfect for each other. The sparks fly from the moment they meet and only get stronger as the story plays out.

Watch the fun begin when the super sexy firefighter Aaron responds to a call at Harper's newly inherited sweets shop Luscious. He tries to rescue her from a fire and she fights him tooth and nail. But when Harper calls for a construction crew to make repairs after the fire so she can sell the store and leave town as soon as possible, she never expected Aaron to turn up.

He may be a firefighter but he also pitches in with his friends construction company when needed. He wasn't expecting Harper to roll up her sleeves and help him, but that's exactly what she does. What neither was expecting was the heat that pops up between them, how can they work side by side and not give in to the attraction that runs super hot between them ?

Kimberly Kincaid has a knack for making you fall in love with her characters and these two are no exception. They show that despite what is on the outside, both have tattoos that tell a story, what's on the inside is far more important. Aaron may seem to have a devil may care attitude but deep down he's a big old softie.

Throw in past characters from the other Line books, I especially loved when they were all giving Aaron advice, (it had me cracking up) and you get a book about two people who were meant for each other, who show that family is what you make it and that putting it all out there is sometimes worth the risk.

I am a huge fan of Kimberly Kincaid, she knows this. I'm sure with this novella she is going to win more people over to her fan base.

This book was supplied by the author for an honest review.

Kimberly Kincaid does it again with Pushing the Line. Mr Fireman, Aaron meets Harper new owner of Luscious. A candy shop that her deceased grandmother left her. The heat in this book is blazing. Once again there is food, so yummy. It was great to meet up with Noah, Blake and Jason from previous books. Highly recommend this book.

Forget the STARS..it's all about the HEARTS on this one. Because, I am in freaking love with Kimberly Kincaid. These may be short little wonders but they are filled with sweetness, sexiness, and a emotional journey that leaves a warmth in my heart to stay.

The Line Series by Kimberly Kincaid

all have food in common in their plots. The characters are funny, sexy and loyal to each other. I'd really love to live in this town. The friendships are so amazing and it's awesome how in such a small little story you are left feeling like you know these people and just can't wait for more.

Harper is a free spirit or so she thought. She never settles down and she doesn't feel like she has a home. But when her grandmother passes and her candy shop is left to Harper well, it's like a rug is not pulled out from Harper's feet but no but a loving foundation of home and family pushed right under Harper and she is so rocked by the thought that she might actually belong somewhere that she doesn't know how to deal.

Aaron is a sexy as sin firefighter with a heart of pure gold. He sees in Harper a girl who needs to feel like she is where she belongs. These two are so a like at first I was like ..no way..this is uncanny. But it worked so well for them from extreme sports and dare devil hobbies they just click.

Aaron fell hard for Harper and showed her in so many ways how home isn't a place but a feeling and this love story just melted my heart.

With some hot scenes this book didn't lack for anything. What I loved about this couple is they didn't waste time or mince words. They laid it on the line right away ...honest and true.

If you are looking for a short but fulfilling love story then you need to pick up any of Kimberly Kincaid's novellas from her The Line Series and then come tell me Thanks ..because they are not gonna let you down.

Pushing the Line is the forth novella in the Line series by Kimberly Kincaid. This sexy short story is about Blake's cousin Aaron who we first met in Outside the Lines. This novella can be read as a stand alone but does have interconnected characters from the previous stories. This is the second story in this series that I have read, and I have really liked both of them. They are short, sweet, and written really well. These novellas are the perfect way to spend a few hours and are really enjoyable to read. Kimberly Kincaid is definitely an author that I will be keeping an eye on in the future.

After Harper's grandma dies she heads to Brentsville in order to settle her affairs. Harper quickly finds out that her grandma left her the business that she treasured for so many years, her candy shop called Luscious. Even though Harper used to help her run the business in the summers away from school, Harper is an artist that spends her life traveling and never staying in one place for very long. She makes plans to sell the business and her grandma's house. But while she is in the candy shop going through things, the old and faulty wiring cause a fire. Though Harper does her best to put it out, she ends up having to call the fire department. When they arrive she meets Aaron, and they get off on the wrong foot when Harper refuses to leave the burning building before finding her grandma's beloved candy molds. After the fire is out, Harper begins the process of trying to find someone to help her repair the building so that she can list it. When the contractor shows up, it is none other than the sexy firefighter Aaron. As they work together to repair the damage, they begin to get to know each other and stop fighting their attraction to one another. But can they possibly have a future together when Harper is determined to stick with her plan of selling Luscious and leaving town?

I really liked Aaron. He's a sexy firefighter who is good with his hands. He is laid back and does what he wants regardless of what others think that he should be doing. I loved that he didn't do what his family expected of him and went his own way. I also really loved how great of a guy he was with his friends and the family that he chose. He was really caring and would do whatever he could to help them out. He was just a really sweet guy, and I loved that when his family was giving him such a hard time about Harper that he was straight up honest with them and didn't try to cover it up. He knew they would give him a hard time, and he just laid it all out there. Harper had her moments where she was really likable, and then there were other times that she really irritated me. I thought that she was a bit rude and close minded. She seemed to have this attitude straight off and was not very easy to root for at first. I understand that she had been through a lot, but she just seemed to be a bit mean and she made some really dumb decisions right off. I couldn't believe how much she fought Aaron right away. But I came to like her as the story progressed and she started to let her guard down. Aaron really helped her open up and I thought that they were really great for one another. They had a lot of chemistry and were hot together, but they also had a connection that seemed to really grow and strengthen as the book went on.

Overall, this book was short and sweet. It was a great addition to the Line series from what I have read so far. I am so glad that we got Aaron's story after meeting him in Blake's book. I really love how all the characters interact, and that they have sort of made their own family. You could really tell just how much everyone cares for each other, and it was fun to watch them give each other a hard time out of love. This novella was really entertaining and I enjoyed the few hours I spent reading it. I look forward to going back and reading the first few stories in this series, and I know that I will enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed Aaron's and Blake's novellas. If you are a Contemporary Romance fan, I think that this series is one that you will really enjoy. These stories are written well, have likable characters, and are quick and enjoyable reads. I will look for more from Kimberly Kincaid in the future.

Pushing The Line is the latest in author Kimberly Kincaid’s Line Novella Series, a series that I love and always look forward to reading more of. Well, this was no exception. As a matter of fact, this novella is in a tie for my first place in the series. I loved it!

Harper McGee has only had two constants in her life….her grandmother and her grandmother’s candy store, Luscious. You could say that Harper lived by the saying “a rolling stone gathers no moss”. Unfortunately Harper’s whole life changes when her grandmother suddenly passes away. Never one to stay in one place for long, Harper is beyond shocked when her grandmother’s will reveals she is now the owner of Luscious. Her grandmother knew her so well, and knew she never put down any sort of roots. Why on earth would she have left the store to her? The answer to that question would have to wait when a fire rips through the candy store kitchen and effectively puts Harper in Brentsville until the repairs are completed and she can get the store up for sale. Funny how things work out sometimes though. This whole situation puts Harper working side by side the handsome firefighter/construction guru Aaron Fisher and before long Harper realizes that staying here in this town may not be such a bad thing after all.

The last thing firefighter Aaron Fisher thought he’d be doing when he got the call that there was a fire at Luscious was wrestling with a damsel in distress. Ok, so maybe he wasn’t exactly wresting, but he did have to physically drag her out after she insisted on grabbing one last thing from the flaming kitchen. He had no idea until his buddy’s construction company got the call to head up the renovations that the damsel in distress is actually the late owner’s granddaughter, and now the new owner. His friend had gotten hurt in the fire so it was now his responsibility to get this job done. He has no idea when he agrees to this job that the renovations aren’t just within the kitchen….Harper is in need of some emotional renovations and like the fire ravaged kitchen, Aaron is just the guy for the job.

The items being built between Harper and Aaron aren’t just new floors and drywall…there’s an undeniable connection that just keeps getting stronger with each day they spend working together. In the end, will what they’ve built be enough to keep Harper in this town…and with Aaron?

I was so excited for this story. We met Aaron earlier on the series and I have been waiting for his story since that first intro. Well, it was worth the wait. Aaron is self assured and confident in his abilities as a firefighter, in construction and as a man. He lives life to the fullest and loves with that same intensity. He is loyal, understanding and has a big heart. Not to mention, tall, dark, adorably dimpled and handsome! He’s got sex appeal to spare but without being cocky. A delicious combo, indeed. Harper is a tough nut to crack but when she finally starts to open up she is just as amazing as Aaron. She’s had a tough life and losing the only thing that mattered to her really hit hard. Her honestly from the very start was really refreshing and admirable. She is a really well rounded character with her equal measures of strength and vulnerabilities. The connection between Aaron and Harper was fast, furious and oh so fantastic. The way they just “got” each other was a treat to read. I also loved seeing the characters form the rest of the series hanging out in Mac’s and enjoying one another’s company. The joking and laughter between all of them warmed my heart and had me smiling from ear to ear.

One of Kimberly’s many talents is her ability to make characters so real to the reader. Just an example is that Aaron and Harper both have tattoos and their reasons for getting the designs they have are very personal and hold a special meaning. That character facet alone gave so much more depth to Harper and Aaron and really added to the story as a whole. It’s very easy to fall in love with these characters and that is a gift that I thank Kimberly for.

As always, I will be eagerly awaiting Kimberly’s next release and what she has in store for us. Thank you for another fantastic and enjoyable story!

REVIEW: Five stars for Kimberly Kincaid's Pushing the Line, a HOT, sexy, and fun romance

This fall I had the great pleasure to receive several holiday collections and anthologies for review. One of the best parts of this, in addition to reading some great stories, was finding new authors to follow. The Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap by Donna Kauffman, Kate Angell, and Kimberly Kincaid is one of these treasures. After I almost literally ate up this book, I quickly searched out each their other books and series and began reading.

The first author I read was Kimberly Kincaid whose The Line Trilogy (Love on the Line/Drawing the Line/Outside the Lines ) intrigued me. I really enjoy culinary-themed romances and each book in this series featured a heroine who was a chef, cook, or restaurant manager. In addition, the heroes were strong, handsome, and oh my, unbelievably HOT (two police detectives and one physician). Kincaid easily intertwined the lives and stories of these protagonists through each of the books.

One character I wanted to know more about was Aaron, the cousin of Dr. Blake Fisher (hero of book three, Outside the Lines). Aaron Fisher was portrayed as the ne'er-do-well, black sheep of the Fisher family. Not because he was a "bad boy," but because he chose the profession of a firefighter rather than a blue chip, white collar job befitting the descendent of one of the town's leading families. Going against family expectations, neither Blake nor Aaron seemed to care about societal perception; I really came to like these two guys.

I was so happy to learn that Pushing The Line (The Line Series Book Four) features firefighter Aaron Fisher's story. He's seen his friends find partners and soul mates and now he thinks he might want to find someone to settle down with, but so far he hasn't had any luck in that quest. That is until Harper McGee, a free spirited artist and granddaughter of the town's candy maker sweeps into Brentsville, New York, after her grandmother died.

Aaron rescues Harper from a fire in the candy shop and their interchanges are so hot, I was surprised that some other buildings didn't spontaneously flame up. In a role reversal, Harper is the one who doesn't want to settle down - either in a place or in a relationship - and Aaron is the one who'll need to convince her to take a chance.

I don't want to give away the plot as you really, really have to read this novella, but you'll quickly find both of these characters drawing you into their stories. Frankly, if I were to encounter an Aaron in real life? Look out girls, he'd be mine in a shot. Really, consider meeting a nice guy who mixes a sense of adventure with a desire to have home, hearth, and family. Wow! He's definitely dream material.

Kincaid keeps the reader fascinated as there are plot twists, fabulous secondary characters, and the chance to catch up with the protagonists from the first three novellas in the series. You'll find yourself laughing out loud more times than I can tell you and when I say there is a steaming, HOT candy making scene that you will not want to miss. Believe me, you'll never look at pecan clusters the same way again! But I know you'll be craving them as did I, so am really thankful that the author included a recipe for Grandma Izzy's Pecan Clusters in Pushing The Line.

In conclusion, I'd definitely recommend that you read not only Pushing The Line, but the entire Line series if you don't already have it on your TBR shelf. I can't wait to discover what Kincaid will cook up next for the Line series.

Five stars for Kimberly' Kincaid's Pushing The Line a HOT, sexy, and fun romance - that will steam your eReader and make you reach for the Kleenex box a few times.

Pushing the Line is the fourth novella in Kimberly’s The Line series. The series has focused on citizens in Brentsville. This story centers on Harper McGee and Aaron Fisher. Harper is a never stay too long in one place artist and Aaron is a Lieutenant with the Brentsville Fire Department. They are brought together first when Aaron saves Harper, somewhat unwillingly, from a fire and secondly when Aaron leads the construction crew that repairs the shop Harper has just inherited from her grandmother. To say the chemistry was incendiary would be accurate. Though neither seems willing to cross the line initially.
Harper admits that “she’s never really lived anywhere” but it’s easy to see that Brentsville and Luscious, the candy shop that has been in her family for generations are the only places that give her any semblance of peace. Her parents basically abandoned her and the only happy memories she seems to have are of being with her grandmother, Izzy, and helping to create magic at the candy shop. Harper is lost, but she doesn’t want to slow down long enough to see or admit that fact, that is until she meets and begins to spend time with Aaron. Aaron is drawn to Harper from the word go but is trying to keep business separate from his persona life, at least until he can’t resist anymore. While they both go into the relationship knowing that Harper is only in town until the repairs are done and Luscious is sold, they can’t stay away from each other. And while Harper begins to fear what would happen if she stays, Aaron fears what his heart will feel if she leaves. Harper is scared. Scared if she slows down and really has a life that it will implode like her parents’ did. Scared to trust anyone but herself because everyone in her world, save Izzy has abandoned her and felt she wasn’t worth it. Aaron sees past all that and tries to get her to take a chance with him. The journey to get there is filled with many a sweet, sometimes sticky and always combustible set of interactions! I really liked this story a lot and it was a definite makes me happy oh and by the way can I get some of those salted caramels and throw in some pecan clusters too!! So grab your favorite sweets and a glass (or 3) of wine and enjoy this fun read! And if you haven’t read the other novellas in this series, no fear they can be read as standalones.

The Line series by Ms. Kincaid is a must read and the latest novella, Pushing the Line, is no exception!

Harper McGee is an artist and lover of adventure. "She was more of an extended-stay-till-she-got-bored kind of girl." She is in Brentsville for the funeral of her beloved Grandmother Isabelle, known as Izzy to her friends and customers. She was the owner and candy maker for Luscious, a candy store known far and wide for it's sweet treats. Harper's plan is to settle things and be on her way, but after a visit with Izzy's attorney she now finds herself the new owner of Luscious, and her grandmothers brownstone. Her first thought? Find a realtor! She stops to take a look at the candy shop, and is confronted with a kitchen full of smoke. She immediately calls 911, and decides to try and keep it contained. Wrong decision! When the Fire Department arrives, the kitchen is pretty well involved, and Harper has "eaten a lot of smoke." The firefighter is forcing her out of the kitchen, but she ducks, and runs back to grab something. His patience has run out, and he grabs her and throws her over his shoulder. As she is being carried out, her first thought? "Wow. Firefighter Guy has a seriously tight butt!"

Aaron Fisher is the "Firefighter Guy." He has lived in Brentsville his whole life, and was very fond of Izzy and her salted caramels. He is furious and frustrated that this young woman would endanger her life for some antique candy molds, and amazed when he discovers she is Izzy's grandaughter. The shop is saved, but sustained a lot of fire and water damage. Now Harper has to repair the shop before it can sell. More time spent in Brentsville! She contacts the contractor recommended, and who shows up? Firefighter Guy, who supplements his income helping with his friends business.

This story of the wanderer and the homebody is a delight to read. Some characters from previous stories make an appearance, but in my opinion, this can be read as a stand alone. After saying that, it's much more fun to read all the books in order.
This novella has lots of laughs, hot fire fighters, and ~sigh~ lots of candy talk. You might want to keep something yummy close by while reading.

I received this novella from the publisher for an honest review.

Harper is a runner, not literally, but she won’t or can’t sit still. The only commitment that has stuck with her is to remain uncommitted. So, we start the story and Harper is almost defiantly immature: her grandmother’s sudden death and being named the beneficiary of both her house and candy shop Luscious, send her into a panic. When a sudden electrical fire threatens to gut the building that houses the candy shop before Harper can arrange to sell off the property and get on the move again, her plans are thrown into turmoil.

Alex is the son of the town’s scions, and a bit of a black sheep. Never one to turn from a challenge, he turned down a seat on the board of the family’s company to pursue a career as a firefighter who needs the adrenaline boost from skydiving, shooting rapids and rock climbing.

These two characters are made for each other: where Harper is unsettled and unsure, Alex is both completely comfortable in himself and willing to give her the space she needs to make her choices. Their sparks are undeniable and palpable, and some steamy action does serve to heat up the pages. Harper is at once vulnerable and so freaking stubborn that she needs a good shake: Alex’s repeated declaration that he can handle everything she dishes out doesn’t seem to sink in even after she lets go of the wall around her hurt and fear.

Conversations and interactions feel real and bring the reader a sense of the true enjoyment and regard that all of the characters have for one another. This is a group of people that you want to be around, and know that once they have accepted you into their midst, you are never getting away from them: support, interference and well-intentioned slaps upside the head arrive with equal frequency and ferocity, all delivered with a sense of family and togetherness.

I’ve not read any of the Line books before, but this was a great introduction to Kincaid’s writing and is sure to be a favorite setting for contemporary romance fans.

I received an eArc copy from the author for purpose of honest review for Tasty Book Tours. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Sweet as the sweetest candy!

Harper McGee is heartbroken at the loss of her beloved grandmother, Isabelle. Now with the fate of Izzy’s candy shop, Luscious, left in her hands, Harper decides the best thing to do is sell it and move on. It’s what she’s always done – keep moving, never settling in one place for too long because that way she doesn’t have to commit to any one place or any one person.

When the candy shop nearly goes up in flames, Harper is thrown together with a sexy risk taker very much like herself, only Aaron Fisher is firmly grounded in Brentsville. Soon he makes her want to settle down, too, but can she?

PUSHING THE LINE, novella four in the Line Series by Kimberly Kincaid is as sweet as the candy shop, Luscious, and imagined scent of pecan clusters that Harper teaches Aaron to make before they make some magic themselves in the bedroom. It’s a wonderful climax, if you excuse the pun, for a wonderful series featuring some of the most delightful, sexy, and real characters I’ve ever met.

I loved that Kimberly gathered her couples together to help Harper discover that she belongs in Brentsville, and with Aaron. I’m sad to see this series end but I know that Kimberly has more coming to us soon. But whether you’ve read the complete Line Series up to this point or are new to the series as a whole, I highly recommend PUSHING THE LINE by Kimberly Kincaid. Don’t miss out on the first three in the series – LOVE ON THE LINE, DRAWING THE LINE, OUTSIDE THE LINES – all novellas and all delightful love stories that will make you laugh, make you sigh, make you fall in love, and probably make you hungry since Kimberly always includes a chance for her couples to cook together – in the kitchen. *wink*

REVIEW:
This was a fun little story of Harper coming home and how Aaron helped her see where she belonged. The author showed their instant attraction grow into a friendship that of course blossomed into a heated romance. This was a feel-good story that I enjoyed. Ms. Kincaid’s writing is always smooth and the food themes always make me hungry. This time for candy. It was a nice addition to The Line Series and I was glad to see all of them together once again.

Harper McGee lives freely, moving from place to place when the mood takes her, until her beloved grandmother dies...and leaves everything to Harper. The last thing Harper wants is to settle down and take over her grandmother's candy shop, but maybe a gorgeous firefighter can change her mind.

I really enjoyed Harper and Aaron together. They were perfect for each other, and their dynamic was my favourite part of the story. They're both free-spirits and share interests and an intense, undeniable chemistry.
Harper could be very stubborn, but it suited her character and I loved that Aaron could stand up to her challenges. Sometimes I wanted to shake Harper so she could what was right in front of her, but she gets there in the end, with a little help.
I'll admit, Aaron was pretty much perfect. He's an adrenaline junkie, firefighter, who happens to be as delicious as sin. He's independent and true to himself, despite his family's expectations, and well....he's just perfect!

This is a very sweet novella, with a great small town vibe to the story. It's an enjoyable and quick read, with a smoking hot hero!

4.5 ...
In the 4th Book of The Line Series has me hooked just like the three before. I mean Two cops, a Doctor and now a firefighter . What a "Line-up"!
Kimberly does a good job of intruding new characters and mixing with ones from previous stories. You met Aaron In book three he's Dr. Fishers cousin. He goes through hanging out with his cousin and his friends doing his job as a firefighter and part time construction worker until... Harper comes into to town.
Harper 's grandmother has passed away and left her a candy shop to run in a small town where Aaron lives. Harper grew up with her grandmother and no one else in her family so, she has always be a free spirit and moved around . She has never wanted to put down roots , preferring to traveling as an artist and adventure seeker. She meets Aaron and sparks fly. Harper wants to make a quick sale of the candy shop and get back to her life as a nomad but Aaron has other ideas.

I felt all sorts of emotions while reading this story! First of all it is off the charts Sexy!!! Kimberly (as always) does an amazing job in the sex department! I was hopeful, frustrated (even sometimes straight out pissed at Harper) but the way Kimberly made everything come together in the end made me happy!!

Pushing the Line is a fast paced, jam packed emotional read. One of the biggest things I enjoy about Ms. Kincaid's work is that it's not easy to get to know characters on an in depth level with novellas. There's just not always enough time, but this author has a FANTASTIC ability to draw the reader in and make us feel like we're the character's best friend or something. It's great. This is what I look for in a story- the connection and I definitely get it here.

Harper is a free bird. I mean, she goes wherever, lives her life. But a sudden death changes things and now it's time she just might see the light. The light of a possible love, that is. She knows nothing about owning a business, and she struggles with the idea of selling her grandmother's shop. But as an artist, what else is she to do?

Fall in love, perhaps?

Let's get into Aaron. What a hottie, and a fireman, too? Yup. You sold me. He's stubborn, strong willed and very eager to help. Stubborn against stubborn? Oh, it's ON!

Absolutely enjoyed Pushing The Line. It's a quick, fun read. Oh, and hey, we get to see a little bit of some past characters, just sayin'

Grab this one, and all of the novellas in this series, I bet you'll devour them. Fun reads with varying emotions and characters you'll love.

Harper McGee is always on the go. Never really settling in once place for too long. When her grandmother passes away she finds herself as owner of her candy shop. She decides to sell the shop but a fire destroys the shop. Before she can sell she needs to rebuild it. Except she didn’t think the sexy firefighter who dragged her from the shop was going to show up to rebuild it.

Aaron Fisher wasn’t expecting to see Harper as the new owner of the candy shop. He took the contacting job to help out his friend who was injured in the fire. So now he’s stuck with Harper until the job is finished.

As Aaron starts to fall for Harper he starts to see the real her. She is strong, and stubborn, and independent but she is also scared of putting down roots. The only person who as made her feel at home was her grandmother and with her gone she feels lost. Harper starts to feel at home in Brentsville, with Aaron and his “family. Now, he just has to get her to stay.

These two have chemistry. Right away the sparks between them fly.

Harper McGee is estranged from her parents and she's fine with that, she takes care of herself. She goes where she wants, when she wants. Until the only person she cared about dies - Her Grandmother. And she leaves Harper with everything. Only Harper doesn't want it, she ready to run again.

I Love this story. It was a story of fear, Friendship and love.
I loved Harper, she's strong, but underneath everything she's soft. I LOVED Aaron. I loved the connect from the start. I like the way he Got her, he knew when to push and when to back off.

Ladies another hotty on the block in the form of Aaron. AND he's a fireman !!!! ANYONE need a lift???

I love the cover and the title, they fit the story. The flow and pace of the story are just right. The length of the story is perfect (It's a Novella) I think if Kimberly had dragged it out it would of spoiled it.

The book was brilliant. I read it in one sitting. It was light and heartfelt, and you routed for Harper all the way.

Kimberly, I loved this book, It was fantastic. I loved Aaron.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This get 5/5 stars.

Aaron Fisher is a firefighter and a daredevil among other things. Harper McGee, is a lady that does not like to stay in one place for long. When her grandmother dies, the only person she was ever close to, she learns that she left her everything, including her candy shop, Luscious. She decides to sell it as soon as possible, because there is no way that she can fill her grandmothers shoes and stay there permanently. When the old wiring to the stove causes the candy shop to burn, it slows down her progress in selling. The owner of the local construction company, is also a firefighter, and he got hurt putting out the fire at the candy shop. Aaron who helps him sometimes, fills in for him, and this has him working closely with Harper every day. Can Aaron, show her that she can run Luscious and stay in one place forever, because that is exactly what her grandmother was trying to get her to do. A great short story, with all the gang from the previous books, showing up at times, and lots of great food!!

PUSHING THE LINE, Kimberly Kincaid’s latest book in The Line Series, is another exciting, Luscious romantic novella with lots of feminine spit-fire, get up and go, love, stubbornness, loyalty and of course, true love for one Harper McGee. I want to be Harper McGee. Just her name alone evokes a vision of spirit, independence and never-a-dull moment. She knows how to make candy that is addictive and has the opportunity to not only discover her dream but also find her true love….and grasp the fact that she has found him. “Him” would be hotness Aaron Fisher, a Brentsville fire fighter, a wiz at carpentry, full of stubbornness, gentleness, loyalty and for once in his life, comes to the realization that he really fell in love. Getting to know Harper and Aaron and the town where they both now live is a smile-maker journey that makes you wish the story would continue on into their future. And when you have finished the story, you will want to read it again. And you will keep on smiling.

Y'all know how I love me some Kimberly Kincaid. Her novellas are like your perfect sweet treat--but with none of the calories.

Pushing the Line features daredevil firefighter, Aaron, and artist, Harper. Best part? Anything Aaron can do Harper can do better. Well, not everything, but a book in which the heroine is every bit a match for the hero is not always easy to come by. Harper's got the goods.

Aaron already knows who he is. He didn't think he was ready to settle down, but that was only because he'd never met his match in Harper. Poor Harper. She's tough on the outside but that toughness hides a lot of hurt at having lost the only family she knows. She can't deny her attraction to Aaron, but can she ever learn to put down roots and settle down?

It's steamy AND has pecan clusters--what more could you want?

This is a light romance about two people who are running away from life's entanglements. Harper and Aaron are more alike than either of them would care to admit, although she's less willing to make a commitment. The characters are drawn well and their predicament seems realistic. The only issue I had with the set-up was her ability to live really well on her artwork. Artists rarely flourish that well! The career worked well with her character, though.

I enjoyed the flavor of the small town--I could see the candy store from the very beginning and loved how it emerged from the damage it suffered, just as Harper emerged from her own life damage. I'd recommend this book as a happy romantic read.

Ingredients;
Take one smart, strong, fiercely indpendent, free spirited heroine whose only fear is being tied down anywhere for too long.
Take one, smart, funny, thrill seeking, big-hearted and very hot fire fighter
Add a strong, engaging plot along with the return of some of my favorite character's from Kimberly's recently released; The Line Trilogy
Throw in a healthy dose of toe curling, romantic sex and you have a wonderful recipe for don't miss story!

The fourth tale in author Kimberly Kincaid's Line series will make your heart smile. Her stories are addictive. My only quandry is deciding which one is my favorite. Pushing The Line is a keeper. I loved it.

I just finished reading Pushing the Line. I really enjoyed it. Although it’s the fourth in the Line series, it’s my second book by Kimberly Kincaid. I read Love on the Line in one night and immediately jumped into this one. I now have to stop and go back to the beginning of the series, because she has some great characters whose stories I’d love to read. I’d recommend reading them in order so you know the secondary characters’ backstories, but they each stand alone as well.

Hot firefighter? Check. Ooey, gooey, delicious chocolate? Check. Sassy heroine? Check, check. Once again Kimberly Kincaid has combined steamy romance with yummy food. Harper and Aaron meet under not so great circumstances but the chemistry between them is off the charts. And don't get me started on the chocolate cravings. There's a reason the author always warns us to not read hungry!
