Terrible premise. Sports reporter Celeste Montgomery needs to nail an interview with rodeo star Geoff Burris, but she finds he's out of the country. So second choice - Geoff's brother Ross, also a rodeo star, but not the level of Geoff. And Ross has a problem. A publicity nightmare that paints him as a womanizer, love 'em and leave 'em type. When Celeste and Ross meet for the first time!, he immediately deciedes the solution to both their problems is to fake an engagement! Come on! Really? After 15 minutes of a lunch meeting? They spend the next 30 days getting to know each other, and guess what? The engagement isn't fake anymore.
Short and sweet. I love marriage of convenience my only issue was that their time together was so short before they fell in love. The book is 200 pages so that's not surprising but it was super cute for what we got. My conclusion from reading this is that I need to read more cowboy stories!!!! And marriage of convenience!!!!!!!! It really is one of my favorite tropes that I like never read in actual books.
I loved this book from page one. I liked the concept of marriage to help both of them. Love always takes over in any marriage. I which they would have communicated what they both felt before it was too late. I rate this book as ***** five stars. I love a true love story.
Love Ms Akers writing, she's done it again. Still an excellent job with this book. Complicated but very exciting. Good read for her as expected, keep up the good work.
This was my first book in this Maverick series . The characters were great . It was easy reading and entertaining and funny at times . I goes with the old wives saying Oh what tangle webs we weave when we to try to deceive . I will have to read the other books in the series.
