As sure as her name is Grayce, the hard-working beauty surely didn’t give herself enough of it. The holiday is here, and she and a group of friends celebrate Friendsgiving on a weekend getaway in the woods. What Grayce doesn’t know is that their cabin retreat has a plus one whom she’s never met.
The second he enters the cabin, Jarod introduces himself as a friend Grayce should keep, and he intends to give her many reasons why she should. Will Grayce give him the opportunity, or will Jarod have to make his intentions on getting to know her much clearer?

'Jarod didn’t know much about women’s hairstyles, but he appreciated them when they looked that good. Hell, he loved a woman with a messy bun, long bundles, locs, braids to her ass, or barely any hair at all. He didn’t discriminate. Jarod was all game as long as her race rhymed with the word track.' Okay Jerod! You betta ride for black women. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Spin Bout' You was a decent read. It wasn't good as the first book but, it was still entertaining.
- I love love love a story that feels like a fully fleshed out story even though it was short. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author because I quite literally found myself smiling multiple times while reading this. It was so fun to see the friends on a cabin trip and the banter felt so realistic! - The meet cute was adorable and the author did an incredible job of switching voices between the fmc & mmc!! I didn’t get confused at all because all of the characters had such a distinct voice. - Can’t wait to pick up more books from this author! You’re missing out if you haven’t picked up a book by this author yet!
It’s the season of giving and Friendsgiving is in full swing for these SSU besties! Things get friendly and there’s plenty of giving involved! This was a cute read but it left me wanting more! Some details weren’t necessary and those words could’ve been used to build the chemistry between Jarod and Grayce!
After meeting at a Friendsgiving Grayce and Jarod spend a sexy few days together. They were cute and I liked how encouraging Jarod was to her. After their trip there were some weird jumps in the story that made the story feel disjointed. Once they cross paths again, I definitely was rooting for them but the chemistry was off. I think it would have helped just to stay focused on the couple, allowing us to feel their chemistry since the story was so short. Also Grayce's story felt incomplete, like there was something missing about what tough times she experienced. The story was on theme and the couple was cute, I just needed more to make the story complete.
This was a cute short read! I loved Jarod’s energy from the time him & Grace met at the cabin! The chemistry was there & the way he showed genuine interest in her business & what she had going on won me over quickly! Her gave her the reassurance she needed & things flowed with them effortlessly!. I actually wish it was a little longer cuz I really enjoyed reading about these two! Definitely getting into more from this author!
Grayce meets Jarod on a Thanksgiving Friends Getaway. They "HIT IT" off immediately! However, when Jarod wants to extend the relationship, Grayce says no and Jarod is hurt.
During an accidental meeting in the supermarket, Jarod defends her honor and Grayce sees him in a different light. But will it last?
This was the cute, quick read that I needed to cleanse my palate before jumping back into the drama and sexiness I love! Jarod was not playing with Grayce, and I loved how he protected her, even while he was in his feelings about her behavior. 👍👍👍
Something as tasty and precious as this deserved to be handled with care. His care. Jarod applied some much needed pressure to Grayce’s life. Now this is the friend-of-a-friend I expect to meet at Friendsgiving next year. 👀❤️🔥
I know it was a quickie but I wish we got more chemistry building with Grayce and Jerod. Also, didn’t love the time jump from the trip to Jerod being at home with his fam. Some type of warning or notation would’ve been a nice touch. Still enjoyed it overall.
Only thing is I wish she wouldn’t have treated him like a one weekend thing and actually tried for a relationship from the beginning. I get her reasons but Grayce should’ve tried.
I loved how they connect and Jarod was about her from the jump. He really did just check on her and seem intrigued by her from the first time they talked. This book was super cute!
This was a nice novella that took place around Thanksgiving and gave the idea of things are meant to happen for a reason. Grayce almost didn't make it to her Friendsgiving outing and when she did make it out, she was not expecting to meet Jarod. He wasn't supposed to be there and was only invited to take the place of one of the friends who couldn't make it.
When these two first started talking, he genuinely showed interest in her company and also reminded her that she couldn't worry about things that were not in her control. I will say I was a little annoyed with her actions/decisions after they had their fun in the cabin but when they crossed paths again coincidentally she made up for it. They were in the same supermarket at the same time which led me to say everything definitely happens for a reason and they got another chance to make things work.
This story was short and cute. Loved the idea of Friendsgiving and this being the place Grayce and Jarod connect. Their chemistry was felt right away without being forced. I like the ending because they definitely had something there that needed to be explored more. However, i wish the story remained at the Friendsgiving and built from there. Like we could have gotten a story with seeing how they spent their days connecting outside of sex. Or we could have gotten that interaction at the airport and then they could’ve bumped into each other at the store to go from there. Lastly, maybe we could’ve gotten more into grayce’s business and/or her experience with that Josh guy (I believe that’s his name). Well that may have led to a longer book but it could’ve worked.
This started off really good I enjoyed the vibes and the energy Jarod was coming with. The jump in the middle threw me off a little and I think it would have flowed better to have the airport convo on page instead of the weird interaction with his brother but the end was kinda cool.
So I just started reading briann and her catalog. The overall book was ok. Great for a quick read. However one line almost put it in the dnf pile. I did not like the slave joke mentioned in the first chapter. I did complete it after putting the book down for a second.
Short. Sweet. To the point. When it comes to BriAnn Danae I might be biased. Lol. But I really enjoyed this book. Friendsgiving, and things definitely were given in this book. Jarod had his eyes set on Grayce and he wouldn’t stop until he had her. He was a straight shooter & I loved him for that!
A well written love story that captivated my emotions from the very beginning. Jarod quickly expressed his interest in Grace and attentively listened as she shared her passions. Although Grace initially had no intention of anything beyond the weekend, everything took a different turn when they unexpectedly crossed paths on Thanksgiving day. The story flowed smoothly, held my interest, and provided an enjoyable reading experience. Without a doubt, I’d recommend!
This read was so good. This is exactly what goes through my mind when you are on a friends trip and they invite someone single when you are single lol but it never happens. I loved the chemistry between Grayce and Jarod. I love that when they first saw each other that they knew exactly what it was. I love that even though she tried to run away from her feelings because it was unfamiliar territory he made sure he stood on business. Her business was about pouring back into yourself and I loved how he constantly fed her soul with affirmations that she needed. She was pleased spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. Amen. Even with this being a short story it was done so tastefully and nothing was left out. Loved it down. Now I want a friendsgiving in the mountains lol.
See, I be wishing I’d go somewhere with my friends and they have a random fine man there for me to get to know (or is this my life and I’m sleep lmao). & instant love story with a little apprehensiveness (I thought Grayce was just playing hard to get.. which was about to have me irritated with her but she had a real reason for running from this man). Jarod knew what he wanted & didn’t waste time or play games, I loved it. Happy thanksgiving to themmmmm lol
