Hajime Isayama (諫山 創 Isayama Hajime, born 1986) is a Japanese manga artist from Ōyama, Ōita. His first and currently ongoing serial, Attack on Titan, has sold over 22 million copies as of July 2013. He has mentioned Tsutomu Nihei, Ryōji Minagawa, Kentaro Miura, Hideki Arai and Tōru Mitsumine as artists he respects, but stated that the manga that had the biggest influence on him was ARMS.

CRYING SCREAMING THROWING UP WHAT THE HECK DID I JUST READ?? I'm in actual shock and I need some time to process this. I can't even say what I'm screaming about because it'll be a massive spoiler asdjkhl

It also took me ten volumes to realize that Ymir was a girl. I don't know if I'm just oblivious or if her pronouns weren't used before... I mean I don't really like her much but that's beside the point-

Everyone needs to read this series so that we can all scream about it together.

Muchas sorpresas en un solo volumen.

Ymir también puede convertirse en titán y por si fuera poco, protagoniza una gran escena peleando contra todos los titanes hambrientos que quieren comerse a sus amigos... fue genial y muy emotiva. Ah, por cierto, es imposible no shippearla con Historia si funcionan tan bien juntas.

Y al final, en el último capítulo: ¡Sorpresa! Reiner y Bertholdt son traidores también, al igual que Annie. Son ellos quienes están detrás de los otros titanes inteligentes.

I've decided to stick with short reviews for the time being while I acclimatise myself to reviewing again (I know I've been gone for long but I'm back for good)

This volume is a shonen that reeks of horror and thrills and lets the characters develop organically. I really do recommend this series even if I've misjudged it in the past.

Siguen apareciendo nuevos integrantes de la promo 104 que son titanes, en este caso Ymir, la cual se convierte para proteger a Christa o "Historia", del ataque nocturno de titanes sobre el castillo o toerron. Por otro lado el Titan bestia parece que controla al resto de titanes.
Sigue habiendo mucho misterio en la historia de los titanes.

Holy shit! I was not expecting that! That was definitely a stressful volume, but that twist towards the end was insane! I am still in shock. I am honestly a little upset that I don't have Volume 11 on hand because I'd be reading it right now. That was awesome! This just keeps getting better and better. این جلد پر از توییست های زیباست. یکی از زیباترین روش‌ها رو هم برای روبه‌رو شدن با این توییست‌ها انتخاب میکنه. و این دید جانبیش به رو شدن مسائل توی سیر سریع اتفاقات، حتی بیشتر ضربه میزنه به من مخاطب.
ایمیر خیلی ناگهانی و وقتی تمرکز روی هیستوریاست، صحنه رو میدزده اما اوج غافلگیری وقتیه که قضیه راینر و برتولت توی پس زمینه رو میشه و تا قبل از فلش بک اینقدر بی‌اهمیت به نظر میاد که باورش خیلی سخت تر میشه.
ضربه‌ای که مخاطب نمیتونه ببینه، موثرترینه.

Notes for myself:

- I feel so betrayed by Reiner. I liked him so much. What the actual fuck is going on? I mean, I kind of had my suspicions and all. But still.
- I don't understand why Reiner and Bertholdt wanted to wipe out humanity. And Eren was asking them all the wrong questions at the time Reiner revealed the truth.
- Can't say I'm surprised about Ymir. I still don't get why she chose to keep it a secret like Reiner and Bertholdt. Also, they were surprised to find out that Ymir was the Titan who ate someone they were close with in the past.
- So, as far as we know, Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie are most likely working for the same 'organization'. We can't say the same about Ymir.
- Also, since Christa herself wasn't aware of Ymir's identity, then how is she supposed to know anything about the walls?
- I have my suspicions about the source of the Titans since there is no breach in the wall.

Questions left unanswered:
- Motives (Annie, Reiner, Bertholdt, and Ymir)
- What the hell is in Eren's basement?
- Where are the Titans coming from?
- Are there more Titans inside the walls? If so, WHO THE HELL ARE THEY?
- WHERE IS LEVI?? I MISS MY BABY.

I couldn't stop reading this volume, but I do feel that the author is sort of dragging this. I really hope he has a plan of the complete story because there are a lot of loose ends that have to be tied.

I'm too invested in this. It's unhealthy.

Heavily focused on action sequences and plot twists!

So many revelations that lead to so many more questions. Makes you wonder if there isn't something so much bigger happening elsewhere that would immediately enlighten us all on everything; which is in fact a nice parallel between humans and Gods.

Still not a huge fan of the artwork, even for the titan-esque action sequences. So messy and unappealing, but definitely a signature for this series.

Lol the big revelation was done so hilarious! I mean, who says important things on the background? It was almost like a joke!
Goddamn traitors! Reiner and Berthold.. What is your purpose???
And also Ymir, who are you again? another Goddamn titan.. I even didn't remember her that much.

Sometimes I wish Eren was smarter . Maybe not smartest like Armin, but at least smart enough to run when Mikasa says to.

I love the library but wish they kept omnibuses on hand- I prefer those to these single volumes although shout out the library

I also wish Goodreads would mark like I read this volume and the omnibus through 10 but it looks like I started with the tenth volume- I know it’s very nitpicky but this is my Goodreads!

This volume is great - the wall didn’t have a hole - Ymir is a titan and SHE KNEW…

Krista is a Royal by blood but outside of marriage so she spends her life looking to die a martyr

Reiner and Bertolt are both titans- they are being so obtuse and distant. The moment he grabs the empty bottle of liquor and is looking to the sky like JUST GIVE ME ONE THING! The back of the volume calls this series “Japan’s equivalent to the walking dead” and I totally get those vibes- the monsters are the star and they’re who you’d see on T-shirt’s and posters but man open your eyes WE are the walking dead!
