Maybe start with David Wolfe’s earlier book, “Eating for Beauty,” an uplifting book with a doable how-to program for positive change. Without that background and familiarity with Longevity Warehouse, Wolfe’s excellent online natural products store, “The Beauty Diet” May seem impossible. Even those readers patient enough to wade into the book far enough to find the detox or diet section may find that the ingredients are unfamiliar and unattainable. I am a big fan of David Wolfe’s research and I’ve made effective lifestyle changes following his earlier books and videos, but this book left even me feeling like I don’t have the time, knowledge, or energy to figure out how to make this it work for me.
Amazing information in an easy to understand format. If you are into science, then it will not go that deep for you. But for those of us, like me, who struggle with scientific verbiage and the meaning of it all, you will find it easy to understand. Also, I thought it was more of a cookbook and while there are many many recipes, that’s only about 25% of the book which I’m not mad about. I ironically enjoyed the text portion of it more, now that I think about it. Plus, it’s covered with my unlimited kindle subscription so no harm done 🤗
I enjoyed the holistic approach to nutrition that the author embodied in the book. The topics were very well discussed without sounding like a thesis. I also enjoyed the enhancer and look forward to trying the recipes he shared.
Full of really good tip about the science of superfoods and the natural path to beauty. Even plenty for a naturopath to learn, while speaking plainly. Not reveling in a new acknowledgment of nature, like some. If you know big words already (spirulina), skip the audiobook. ;)
Really good book with an abundant of health and wellness information which is vital for a balanced and healthy lifestyle both mentally and physically ..,
If you are not new to David Wolfe’s work and writings - a lot of this might not be necessarily new or groundbreaking - but definitely worth the refresher as it proved for me - otherwise if I was new I’d given it 5 stars
Only other thing I thought was or great was that the book covered a lot - yet vaguely, whereas a whole book could have been written for each of the many subjects alone...

The book suggests ways to achieve a healthy lifestyle with a special approach to beauty. It covers many aspects of human health and beauty however the main focus is on nutrition and detoxification. The author borrows principles and lifestyle practices from the traditional Indian and Chinese medicine systems. He particularly advocates for the adoption of a vegan lifestyle and the practices such as; earthing, dry brushing, forest bathing, taking cold showers, practicing gratitude, cooking with coconut oil, consuming superfoods, and spring water. This book can be a good guide to evaluate our purchasing behavior at a grocery store. However, I recommend the readers to take some of the advice with a grain of salt.
