Not Wrath...but Rapture is a brief study of the various doctrines relating to the rapture of the church, including a forthright presentation of the pre-tribulation view.
Henry Allen "Harry" Ironside (October 14, 1876-January 15, 1951) was a Canadian-American Bible teacher, preacher, theologian, pastor, and author.
Ironside was one of the most prolific Christian writers of the 20th Century and published more than eighty books and pamphlets, many of which are still in print. As an editorial reviewer wrote of a 2005 republication, "Ironside's commentaries are a standard and have stood the test of time."
Ironside offers his understanding of a Pre-Mil, Pre-Trib understanding of the end times. Both the writing and the worldview he presents were depressing.
I will be adding this one to the favorites shelf. Ironside does a tremendous job at explaining the pre-tribulation/pre-millennial view in a very simple way. He presents this view, not through his opinion but by comparing scripture with scripture and giving the context of his material. I would highly recommend this book. It's a very quick read full of deep information that's easy to follow and keeps you interested.
In particular this book draws out Israel’s eschatological expectation and compares it with Matthew 24. It places Matthew 25 as an echo of sorts that further articulates what the prophets were painting as Israel’s eschatological destination for thousands of years before Jesus arrived.
The author makes a good case for pretribulation rescue by Jesus. His logical conclusions are backed up by Scripture. Everyone would likely benefit from prayerfully, thoughtfully reading this book. Could happen any time now! Are you ready? MARANATHA, LORD JESUS!!! ❤🙏🙏🙏
A very refreshing thought book by Harry A Ironside. He takes a biblical approach to end times events the pre-trib rapture and the second coming of Christ and presents them effectively and thoroughly. Incredible insight into the return of Israel to the land prior to the event.
Good review of scripture with clear view to the distinction between the rapture and the declaration of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Church will not attend the great tribulation.
The author asked the question of "will the Church participate in the Great Tribulation?" In four chapters, Ironside laid out the Scripture which clearly points to an answer of NO. The Blessed Hope is the next event on the prophetic calendar. Let each of us be sure to not miss this book nor miss the Blessed Hope. See you there.
