Won a copy in a good reads giveaway. Very cute, early chapter book. It's a good choice if your kid likes Geronimo Stilton books. Fewer pictures, however.
Jonah is brave, despite being seven years old. I liked the similarities between an arrog and a creature that I know in real life. The illustrations aided my reading experience, and the book cover is fabulous. That alone lets me overlook the one blemish that I saw in this book, which is mentioned near the end of this review. Props to the illustrator for providing top-notch visuals; they aligned perfectly with the book. The narrative flowed well, and the formatting of this book assisted my reading experience. I would be delighted to read another book from this author.
The only flaw that I saw in this book was spacing errors. However, that did not hamper my reading experience (but it was noticeable).
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I found that the illustrations were excellent to assist young readers with comprehension clues. I found that the story has solid family interactions. This fantasy is an excellent book for second grade and older to read independently and of course parents can read to younger children. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

This is a wonderful story about a brave 7-year-old mouse on an adventure with an Arrog. This story is meant for ages 6-9 but can be enjoyed by all ages. It is a chapter book so would be an excellent pick for a book report. The illustrations were wonderfully done and added to the story. I enjoyed it immensely.
P.S. If your child likes stories with animal characters this would be an excellent choice. The only problem I had was with the Arrog which was a dog in the illustrations. So why not just be a dog? Other than that it was great!
As a mom, I’m always looking for books that really capture my son’s attention. He’s 15, autistic, and nonverbal, and Jonah’s Adventure pulled him in completely. He read it from start to finish and loved every page.
Jonah’s journey is full of heart—courage, friendship, and the search for belonging—and the writing is so vivid you feel part of the adventure. It’s the kind of story that speaks across ages, offering excitement for kids while giving parents something meaningful to appreciate too.
This book was a joy for both of us, and it made me eager to see what came next in the series.
The Mice of Dumpler: Jonah’s Adventure. A fun lighthearted adventure of a young duo that team up with a suave knight and his crew to defeat weasel bandits. I had the privilege of receiving a free copy from the author and myself and my children were delighted to read this tale. With beautiful illustrations and a wholesome story. This made for an easy read. Looking forward to reading more about The Mice of Dumpler in other books.
