Throughout my entire existence, I've obediently followed the predetermined path set before me. However, this commitment to join the family business to honor my father, has left me torn and empty. This was a fantastic short story about a young woman torn between following her heart and her dreams or fulfilling her father’s last wish.
Thetta James packed a lot into this book but did it beautifully as she weaves a story of family legacies, first times, and lifelong friends to lovers. The bond between Eva and Diego is forged by years of friendship and dancing together and once they cross the line to lovers, things really heated up on the dance floor!

A beautiful short story about Diego and Eva and their aspirations to dance. Eva needs to decide whether to follow her dreams or the expectations of her family. Thetta is a chameleon and fully embraces each character, so you feel that they are feeling. Beautiful writer.

I am in utter silence..

How dare you do this to me? I felt the ache from the very beginning. It's not the exact same circumstance, but for the cancer with my very own Daddy. I was already in tears. This luv story with two young adults learning all about luv and firsts with each other. Down to the end when dreams come true. I cried some more.
Now... why do you leave me hanging at the best part? There better be more up ahead..

This is a beautiful short story where I felt the emotions of the characters as they strive to find their own paths in life and love. I will always cherish Diego and Eva story because Thetta James has this amazing ability to make you love and care for her characters instantly.
