Respectfully this was horrible. Maybe let's not encourage cheating and being a homewrecker

Belina Jones has a knack for writing books that make you feel like you are on vacation --- she always chooses some great place to set her story in, and her writing is fun and really enjoyable!

Loved this book! Read it on holiday in Sorrento took evening trip to Capri and this book simply came alive. Perfect sun bed read.

This is just my humble opinion and many might find this book super super great so everything said here needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
This book got me blabbering, but not in a good way. I think my friends hate this book more than me because they got to hear EVERYTHING that is wrong with it. Now this book was long and annoying but I hate not finishing books so here I go, masochist that I am. And I come to almost like the book and then everything went from bad to almost good to worse. The ending is brutal it is horrendous. I read the whole book just to have it end like this? No way!!! Now I will spare you everything that went through my head, and let me tell you it is not pretty.
If you still want to read this book, hey we need masochists in this world (welcome to the club), beware of A. cheating (which put me off like nothing else) and B.a terrible terrible terrible ending!
One star, and only because I couldn't give a zero.
Now I just need some Memory dust :) I know, Charmed, so out of style ^^

I really did not like this book. I was bored most of the time, waiting for something to happen.
The book had potential but it just did not live up to it.
I found the character Kim to be selfish, she only thought about what she wanted; I also did not like Luca, who was just as bad.
Kim did not once stop to think about how Luca's wife would feel, and I generally thought she was a hypocrite.
The book did condone cheating; basically if that is what you feel like doing, then that is fine, no matter who else it hurts.
I would not recommend it to anyone.

I had been SO into this book, at first. I visited Italy after graduating HS, and it brought back great memories for me, and it seemed like a cute, fluffy read I was really enjoying.
Then everything took a turn for the worst. I hated the ending of this book SO MUCH. I was left feeling disgusted with the main character {and the love interest} and their choices. Everyone was gross.
It's really a shame because until the moment where things started shifting to encouraging and romanticizing cheating {gross, people}, I was all in and having a great time reading it.

After really loving The California Club I was looking forward to ready this book. The plot sounded good and I enjoyed Belinda Jones's style of writing. But when I read it I found that it had a very slow pace, took about half of the book to get to anything near exiting and I didn't really care what happened to the characters. Another thing that annoyed me was that Belinda Jones seemed to be trying to justify cheating. The book gave out the message that if if you love the person it's okay to cheat on your spouse.
I wouldn't re-read this book and I definitely wouldn't recommend this to someone.

It was okay, and I really liked the descriptions of Capri but I got annoyed by the way the book condoned cheating. Kim's endless psychoanalysis also got tiring after a bit and the ending was just overkill.

Yes, the story is in parts not too realistic (this "I've been in love with you long before I even met you"-thing), but it's a very likeable holiday story that does not have the usual ending where everyone is happily ever after at the end.

A really enjoyable book, heartwarming, funny and easy to read. I just can't give it more than 3 stars because it is not a masterful book and cannot be compared to some of the last few books I have read. However, it is good!

The cover really gives you no idea how enjoyable and well-written this book is. Beautiful scenery and a story of personal transformation -- great relaxing read.

Very good, the plot moved at just the right pace and was emotionally and visually engaging. However the ending was very unsatisfying and frustrating and a bit anticlimactic.

Mixed feelings on this one:
I enjoyed the adventure in this book and how Kim ended up loving herself and her mother and so on and it has inspired me to stop wasting my time and actually enjoy and living my life. However, the whole cheating problem put a bit of a damper in the story and also felt unnecessary? I liked how the cheating of her grandfather was addressed and we learnt the history there which allowed Kim to forgive him and Rosa, but the problem of cheating could have ended there. Kim and Luca’s story was a lovely one but the cheating felt so unnecessary?? He could have been divorced, a widow… it felt as if Jones wanted to justify why people cheat considering a lot of characters in the book had done it. And the way it ended was a tad anti climactic? All this buildup, with both Luca and Tyler, and then everything came to a close so fast? As if Jones spent so much time building up the plot and story all to think “shit, I’ve only got 100 pages left to end this”. I also found this with Jones other book ‘Divas Las Vegas’, there was a lot of build up and then everything was tied up in the last 50 pages??
Overall I enjoyed the escapism this book gave and felt as if I didn’t really have to think whilst reading it, my type of book, but it could have been a lot better and a lot more put together. I do intend on reading the next book in her travel series and hope that one doesn’t follow the same structure of a massive build up and short wrap up.

*3.5 actually, but rounded up because I've just come back from holiday on the Amalfi coast/Capri and this book managed to prolong the sun and memories for 2more days.
It's a light and breezy chick lit and anyone who's fallen in love with that part of Italy is guaranteed to enjoy the book.
It tells the story of Kim Rees, who reluctantly follows her mother on a trip to Capri, where she falls in love with Italy, adventure, the most gorgeous (albeit unavailable Italian man) and ultimately herself.
Personally I also liked the fact that it didn't follow the classic chick lit structure and the love interest (while still there and quite intense) is not the main point, but a means to an end which is self discovery and appreciation on one hand and forgiveness and acceptance on the other.
Excellent vacation read! Let the summer begin! :)

I bought this book on my honeymoon in Italy at a little bookstore in Sorrento after visiting Capri. I just read this book, almost 2 years later, and found so many parts funny and accurate for my experience in Italy. The main character reminds me of one of my close friends and I laughed out loud numerous times while reading the book. I’m normally not a romance book girl and lean towards horror and thrillers, but this book left me wanting to read more of the author’s books in the Travel series. I’m not sure if I would enjoy them as much in places I haven’t personally visited, but I loved the way the main character was written. I found that even though many of her references were from the early 2000s, I was still able to relate and parts of traveling to Capri have not changed all that much.

I first read this book when it came out and found it such a warm, funny enjoyable read with characters you could both love and loathe. The descriptions of the locations made me want to see them for myself and when I finally holidayed on the Amalfi coast I used the book as my travel guide. Villa Cimbrone and it’s beautiful terrace took my breath away and for that reason alone this will always be one of my favourite books. I decided that this strange summer was the perfect time to reread I Love Capri and it didn’t disappoint, I think I love it even more now!

Once in a while I like some light reading and picked up this book from the secondhand bookshop. It was a disappointment all the way through . The three main women characters ,Kim ,the mother and Kim's friend Cleo under another author,in another book would have shined through, but under so much fashion name dropping and irrelevant Italian travel cliches are buried under .Not necessarily when one throws in so many ingredients in to a dish it comes out edible, same here .

I hate the infidelity theme, but love her writing. The author describes people, emotions and places in unique ways, sometimes humorous, sometimes insightful, always vivid. Italy sounds heavenly in her words!

Thought I’d read a feelgood book, but I could not relate to the main character at all. She’s a homewrecker, he’s a cheater and she blames the wife. Finished the book as fast as I could and did not feel good after reading this.
