I was immediately pulled into this story. There was so much more to it than what had been previously shared, and I couldn’t read fast enough to figure out all of the details. Ryan and Georgia having a dual bond, was so great, but also not what I was expecting. I love all of the twists in their story and having to navigate a whole new life of figuring out what they’re next steps are. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Whisper of the Wolf is book 1 of the Whisper Valley Wolfpack Series by Megan Wade. It is a spinoff of the Soulwink Candles and Curves Series that I loved so much. To get the full effect after this book, I honestly think you should start with those books, though you don't HAVE to.

When that Series ended, it left us the knowledge that there was something very new and powerful about the heart stones and the in the woods and mountains that boarder their little town.
Georgia is the sister to Honey's boss from the previous book. She is a geologist and is searching for the stones to study them. She finds a few particles and ends up trailing all the way to the sacred cave.
Ryan, Owen's twin brother from the previous book, has the job of protecting the cave and killing any human who finds it. But when he finds Georgia, he sees something supernatural. The spirit of his deceased has reincarnated and entered the body of this woman, who also happens to be his human soulmate. Ryan now has to figure out how to get her safe, keep her safe, and prove to his pack that she is who he knows she is.
Fans of the previous series will likely agree that this is a very different direction for this one. Although I loved the last book, this one, I'm honestly not sure. I felt like it was good, but it was a bit drug out only to end in a cliffhanger, which I HATE!!! I will say it is very action-packed and suspenseful, so if that is your thing, you will love this. It's not her normal sweet romance, but obviously, that's not what she was going for, that's okay. My biggest issue is the cliffhanger.
Overall, I love her writing. I've read all of her books, so I plan to at least read the next one. I just hope there is a conclusion soon.

Megan Wade has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Georgia and Ryan. Ryan is a wolf shifter. Georgia is a geologist and has been sent to Whisper Valley to research the source of the mysterious soulwink stone. She finds a stone in the creek so she follows the creek and comes across a cave. She goes inside the cave and finds a lot more stones. Ryan smells a new smell in the area and he thinks it is his mate. He follows the smell to his brother Owen's house. When he gets to Owen's there is no one there other than Owen. They talk and Owen tells him that he has found his one. Ryan leaves to follow the scent and it leads him to the cave. He shifts into his wolf and goes inside the cave and finds a human there. Ryan's wolf Kane scares her and she ends up getting cut with a stone embedded in her leg. Georgia scoots backward and the stone comes out and a bright light comes from it and goes inside Georgia's wound. Ryan shifts into his human and goes to Georgia. He puts his hand over her wound and feels a warm heat coming from the light. He knows he needs to get her somewhere safe so he can check her wound. He decides to take her to Owen's since he is the doctor for the pack. Owen is not happy that Ryan has brought Georgia to him but he stitched her leg up and tries to get Ryan to leave her with him. Ryan explained what happened at the cave but Owen doesn't know what to believe. Ryan takes her to his house to keep her safe since he knows she is his now. On the way to his house, he runs into Atticus, the beta of the pack. Atticus is mad that there is a human in pack land and he goes after Georgia. Ryan attacks Atticus and takes him down so he doesn't hurt Georgia. Things go from bad to worse from that point on. The alpha came to Ryan's house and he is mad that Ryan has a human. They have a few words and the alpha tells him to get rid of her. Ryan said that it wouldn't happen since she was his mate and had the spirit of Luna inside her. The alpha didn't care and said that it needed to be done. Scarlette came by just as Ryan was going to defend Georgia and distracts him from doing something stupid. Georgia wants to know what the alpha meant when he said that Ryan needs to get rid of her. Ryan didn't want to tell her but he did. The elders come to see Ryan and are mad because Georgia is there. They want her gone. Scarlett's dad tells them they might get the witches to come and see if what Ryan said was the truth. On the day the witches come, they examine Georgia and tell the elders that what Ryan said was true and that Luna was inside Georgia but was distant like she was blocked. The elders tell them that until the witches came, they were to be under guard in his house. They also say that Georgia will take part in the shifting ceremony that night since it was the full moon. Ryan doesn't want her to have anything to do with the ceremony since it will be with the pack in wolf form. Ryan tells the elders that she is not going to be in the shifting ceremony. They told him that if they didn't take part, then he would be kicked out of the pack. Georgia told them that she would be there. After the elders leave, Ryan gets Georgia to lie down and get some rest. There is a knock on his door and when he goes to answer, Ethan is standing there. Ethan wants to know if what he heard was true. Ryan tells him everything that has happened since meeting Georgia. Ethan can't believe what he is hearing from Ryan. Ryan tells Ethan that he needs his help in keeping Georgia safe. Ryan calls Scarlett to come over since he needs her help too. They all come up with a plan to leave the pack to keep Georgia safe. Elder Gray gets up and tells the pack what will happen and turns it over to the alpha. They all know that the alpha was going to choose his mate that night and they think it will be Scarlett. The alpha comes out and goes to Scarlett. Everyone knows what he is doing but Scarlett said that she rejects him. He grabs her and marks her with the mating mark. She is mad that he did that to her. When things are about to start, Ryan and Ethan put in their earplugs. When the alpha howls, Ryan tells Georgia to run. They all run. They run to the cave but Atticus is there and he goes after Georgia. Ryan sees Georgia in trouble and attacks Atticus. Ryan is having trouble with Atticus. Ethan and Scarlett show up and attack Atticus. When he is down, they run again and decide where they are going. they go to a cabin so that they can get some rest. Scarlett and Ethan say that they will take the first watch. Scarlett's dad shows up and tells them that he has some information for Georgia and Ryan to do for the mating ceremony and why the elders want her dead. Georgia finally realized that she is Ryan's mate in both human and wolf forms. This is what was known as a soul mate.
This book will leave you with a cliffhanger but will conclude in the next book.
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

WARNING…IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE WHISPER VALLEY SOULWINK SERIES YOU PROBABLY SHOULD OTHERWISE YOU WON’T UNDERSTAND HOW THE HEARTSTONES WORK!
A little longer than her usual books but, oh so worth it. I couldn’t put it down because I felt like if I did the story would continue without me, lol. Ryan is a bitten wolf so, he’s not very important to the pack. He has been tasked with guarding the Soul Cave where the Heartstones lie. His wolf, Kane, has felt the presence of his mate for a long time near the cave. Others think he’s going mad from losing her. Ryan on the other hand feels the presence of his human soulmate one night near the cave. What he finds is a gorgeous woman afraid of the wolf in front of her. Georgia stumbles and falls cracking open a Heartstone. The spirit in that stone enters her body through the gash on her leg. It’s the spirit of Kane’s mate, Luna. Ryan takes to his twin’s cabin, who happens to be a doctor, to get her fixed up then back to his home. An unheard of bond is taking place: Ryan and Georgia are Soulmates and Kane and Luna are mates. The elders of the pack are aware of the power the couple will have if allowed to complete their mating-bond and are doing everything possible to prevent it. Ryan and Georgia find themselves on the run and hiding with two loyal friends. Their bond continues to grow producing pores and strengths that they will need to get to the Super Moon when the bonding phase needs to be completed.
Fair warning…this is only part one of the two part story which you only have to wait about a month to come out.

Part of the Whisper Valley Wolf Pack series each can be read as a standalone each sexy wolf and the one who captures his attention. Ryan sexy as get out wolf who has longed for his mate so long that everyone around him thinks he is going crazy, but he knows his mate is out there when given the job of guarding the Soul Cave where the Heartstone lie, he smells her, he feels her and knows he is going crazy. Georgia is a sweetheart she is a geologist a workaholic who loves what she does so when she hears the rumor about a little town where you can find your soul mate and she intends to find out for herself despite what her brother telling her it is a hoax she intends to find out for herself. While out searching she stumbles up to the cave and falls cracking open one of the Heartstones causing the spirit in the stone to enter her through a cut on her leg, it happens to be the sprit of Ryan’s mate Luna and the attraction is instant, it is insane, the magnetic pull between them can’t be ignored he takes her to his twin the pack doctor to fix her leg up takes her back home but the thing about both our guys is they are both host to other wolves he was used for a dying wolf and she is his mate but the elders can’t have that so they must be stopped by any means necessary, his pack don’t want them together he doing everything to protect his girl, good friends help them stay alive until the next moon when they can complete their mating but will it end with happiness where are they headed?

This is the 1st book in the Whisper Valley Wolf Pack series featuring a twist on the soulwink stories. We pick up right where we left off in the previous story Ryan is a shifter ever since he was attacked by a werewolf shifter and he's got the scars to prove it he's also Owen's twin. Ryan has had to withstand the pain of losing his mate for a long time to the point that he's now bitter,grouchy and people are concerned that he's going nuts. Ryan's job is to guard the cave that the heartstones are in Georgia is a sweet shy geologist she's researching the stones when she trips and falls causing a stone to crack and enter into a cut on her leg. Ryan swears that he feels Luna's presence when he's near the cave even though she's gone and everyone thinks that he's crazy. When he goes to investigate he collides with Georgia who he realizes is his lost wolf's mate and his soulmate. Scared that the pack won't understand Ryan decides to hide Georgia because there are hostile forces that are intent on tearing them apart. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. This is only the beginning of their story it continues in the next book so we need to wait for the next book to find out what's going to happen. I would definitely recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book to find out what's going to happen.

This was cute little werewolf romance.

Very different from my usual read but still touches of what I like in this genre of paranormal romance.

For once I actually liked the FMC she’s realistic and funny like she has a real job and loves Gilmore Girls. (That may not seem like a lot but it is for this genre) She knows nothing about werewolves and has a very appropriate reaction to finding out about them. Like when she sees the MMC for the first time she freaks out and begs him not to eat her lol. It was really refreshing over the usual over the top horrified screams and passing out.
This attitude of hers continues throughout the book.

The MMC is really different too. He’s not an alpha he’s actually pretty low on the werewolf hierarchy. But he’s just obsessed with his girl but in a respectful way? He’s so flirty with her but she dishes it right back to him their chemistry was just very natural and cute. Which is exactly what I’m here for.

The way werewolves are made and work in this was very different. Like there are so many venom jokes made by the FMC if that gives you a clue into how it works lol. Again very refreshing.

The plot was actually interesting slightly confusing at times but I was invested. Which is saying a lot because I do not read these style of books for the plot lol.

Can’t wait to read the next one.

Georgia is our MFC and is a geologist. Shes innocent, cute, auburn haired and basically married to her job, which she loves. She’s come to Whisper Valley, investing a stone the town calls “solewink stones”. Said to lead you to your soul mate. Her brother, Jason, a journalist in the city, told her about them and where he heard to look. She’s doing just that when her brother call and tells her Honey, one of Whisper Valley residents confessed that it’s a hoax(😁it’s not). She’s determined to find out what’s going on. And of course finds a piece of soul wink stone in the creek bed. She will eventually learn many mysteries surrounding the stone
Ryan is our MMC and is a wolf shifter. He was changed when a wolf attacked and bit him. Ryan was chosen to be host of the dying wolf. More mystery there too 😁.
Cant say much more…except you will find out who Luna is and where she fits in this whole story. So good, I can’t say any more without spoiling it for you.
I do hope you will take time and read this enjoyable book 😊. It’s a sweet and fast read. I read in less than a day. I have read other of the “Soul Wink” series and have loved every one of them, this one included. Highly suggested.👍🏻.

Having read the stories of others finding their soulmate & having met Ryan briefly in his twin brother Owen's book I'm loving this book explaining the myth around the 'soulwink stones'.
Georgia being a geologist is on a mission to discover more about these mystery stones but finds something truly magical. For Ryan it's love at first sight when he finds Georgia injured in his cave but being a shifter it is not only him who discovers that she is their mate. Georgia finds herself in a world she cannot believe & also finds her mate not that she is sure what that involves but that she trusts Ryan.
We find Ryan & Georgia in danger from his pack who do not want them to be together but them dead, with the help of his friends Ethan & Scarlett they must do everything they can to stay hidden until the next moon.
This was not the sweet happy ever after love story I was expecting & after being left on this cliff hanger I'm desperately waiting now for the next book to see if they can survive & explore a new life for them, their pack & other shifters but I can see a lot more danger to overcome ahead.

This is another great Whisper Valley Soul Wink
Story.
I would suggest at least reading the story prior to this one to get a better understanding of who the characters are. (His Little Bird)
Fair warning this one does end on a cliffhanger, but part two of the duet is due out soon.
This one is a different twist on the soul wink stories and picks up where the last story left off. Ryan is a werewolf shifter, the twin of Owen. He was attacked by a werewolf and has scars. He is bitter, grumpy and an outcast of sorts, even from his own pack. He is tasked with protecting the cave that contains the heart stones.
Georgia is a geologist. We met her brother Jason in the last story. He is Honey’s boss. Georgia is sweet, shy, innocent and married to her job. She comes to investigate the mysterious heart stones.
When Ryan finds her in the heart stone cave his job is to kill her. He realizes that she is his wolfs and his human mate. He will protect her all at costs.
Can’t wait for part two to complete the story. This one will keep you turning the pages.

Georgia, a geologist was hired by her brother to scientifically study the soulwink or heart stones. She traces the source of the stones to a cave. She gets startled in the cave by a wolf shifter She goes to run and tripped on a heartstone. It breaks and she becomes a vessel for the soul of a wolf shifter named Luna. Ryan the wolf shifter in the cave takes Georgia to his cabin and Georgia's life has been turned upside down.

Ryan became a vessel for a wolf shifter soul after he was attacked. He wasn't really accepted by his pack because he had lost his mate Luna. Every expects him to go crazy or curl up and die. He is one of the lowest ranked wolves in the pack because of his possible instability. He has been assigned to watching the Heartstone cave. Ryan doesn't mind too much because he still feels the soul of his mate near the cave. When he finds Georgia in the cave and sees Luna's spirit enter her body, he is shocked. His wolf's mate is back and this time he will do whatever it takes to protect her.

Heartstones and fated mates

Whisper of the Wolf is the first book in the Whisper Valley Wolf Pack series. This time Megan Wade takes the whole Whisper/Soulwink premise into the PNR realm with fated mates and Whisper Valley. This story is a different take on the fated mates mixed with wolf/human pairings, and in a really great way. Ryan is a wolf shifter who lost his mate, Luna, during an attack. Since then he believes he can still smell her on the wind, but cannot figure out where she is. Georgia is a human geologist who while wandering on the packs land finds a heartstone. She is cut by the stone and ends up having Luna's spirit invade her body. So when Ryan encounters Georgia there is more than a little spirit/fated mates happenings. But add in danger from within the pack, people already thinking Ryan is going/gone mad, and a super moon on the way, then you have a story.
Be aware that this book ends on a cliffhanger and will be continued in the next book, Curse of the Wolf. I am really looking forward to finding out just what happens to Georgia and Ryan and how they find their HEA.

Georgia went to find more of the “soulwink” stones for her brother and wanted to study them and post her findings. Ryan had been bitten when camping with his brother and a vessel for Kane a wolf who missed his mate that had died in the soul stone cave after a mission gone wrong. Ryan became the guard of the cave felt when Georgia entered the cave, had been told to kill the humans that discovered it. She fell and got hurt when Luna soulstone broke she entered through the wound and Georgia became a vessel for her. The elders wanted to kill her because they thought she was just a human but the witches agreed with Ryan but they had been told to make sure her wolf didn’t come out at the full moon ceremony give them an excuse to kill her. They ran to the cave where she attacked one of the alpha’s guards with her wolf and they got away with help of his two friends. Good book!.

It would be better to read the soul wink series before starting this one. This story is so different from what I have read from Megan's previous stories. But we do find where the heart/soul stones come from in this story and we discover there are shifters out there. Georgia is a geologist and is searching for those stones where she comes upon a cage filled with them. Ryan is a wolf shifter who is supposed to be protecting the stones when he comes across Georgia. He is supposed to kill her but his wolf can't because he knows she is his fated love. I really enjoyed the story, I love some of the other characters, Scarlett for one, and felt it was a fast paced read. But I hate cliffhangers, that's why the 4 but it is still and exceptional story.

This was a very interesting take on this PRN romance. After Ryan was bitten by a werewolf, he struggled with his new body and the world he was thrust into. Being a human vessel in the pack, he was looked down 9n and put in charge of protecting the heart stones in the soul cave. Georgia was a geologist and was searching for the stones that was supposedly capable of if song your soulmate. When she accidentally finds the cave, Ryan finds her and according to his pack law, he must destroy the human, but he can’t when he looks into her eyes. A good storyline that keeps your interest with some humor thrown in with the drama and danger. The characters are interesting and intriguing along with the secondary characters. It does d on a cliffhanger.

Whisper of the Wolf is book 1 of the Whisper Valley Wolfpack Series. It's a spinoff of the 'Soul Wink Candles and Curves Series ' You don't have to have read that series before this one, but I personally think it will enhance your enjoyment of this series. But there isn't any overt paranormal activities in the candle series so if that's your thing, just jump straight onto this one.

This is a short and sweet paranormal romance about wolf shifters. Ryan finds his Luna and mate but she is human (Georgia - a geologist) and not accepted by the pack (amongst other issues)

This went in a way I didn't initially see coming. It's quick and captivates you quickly. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I have so been looking forward to reading Ryan's story after reading his brother Owen's story, and starting this new series. I have read this from start to finish and even though their story continues into the next book in this series I have loved Ryan and Georgia's story. Their romance is layered, lovely and they are supported by good friends, they have to deal with friends and foe, pasts, myths, lore, pac law and the unknown, making this a fab read for me personally. I was with them every step of the way learning, guessing, predicting and falling for these characters, I need to know what happens next and cannot wait for book two to come out!.

I loved Whisper of the Wolf: A Whisper Valley Shifter Romance Book 1 of Whisper Valley Wolf Pack. Be warned this ends on a cliffhanger. There will be a second book with the conclusion. Georgia is searching for the Soulwink stones when she finds the heartstone cave. Ryan is protecting the cave and realizes Georgia is his mate and she soon has Luna using her as a vessel. Luna is Ryan’s wolfs mate. It’s all very complicated. They are on the run with loyal friends and trying to stay alive while they figure out their fate that will change the shifter world. This is a great storyline and I loved the characters. I cannot wait for book 2. I would definitely recommend this book.

Megan Wade’s Soulwink series has been a favourite of mine for a long time. Georgia and Ryan’s story gives us so much more than the usual, slightly mystical attraction between two people, their intense connection and HEA. More information is given about the true history of the magical stones in Whisper Valley and the danger that follow this discovery.
With magic, mystery, fated mates, second lives and second chances, action, banter, some tears, steam, humour, many more paranormal aspects, wonderful characters and a spellbinding storyline but with a cliffhanger.
Such a great story and I’m waiting with bated breath for part two, “Curse of the Wolf”.

This story is a stark departure from the lighthearted soulwink series from which it branched out. The author reveals the full story behind the soulwink stones and describes in excruciating detail everything about the wolf shifters introduced in this story. The plot of the story reveals a secretive wolf shifter pack that wants to stay hidden no matter what. That creates major complications for the two main characters, Georgia and Ryan. The story is not over yet. Georgia’s character seems to be physically evolving into something new. Can’t wait to see where the author takes the story next.

I've been reading Megan Wade's books your a few years now and was not expecting this type of direction for the soulwink theory. I usually love werewolf/shifter romances with all of my heart, and this book is good. It just caught me off guard, even though I read the book before this one. The story is good and you get to meet a few new characters and the Wolf Pack ways of life. It's sweet and sexy in its own way. Ryan and Georgina grab your attention from the beginning, and you want to get to know their story better.

This is very informative and provides some meaning behind the soulwink existence. The story is good just not what I was expecting or used to but that's my fault the author clearly titled this. Once I got pass that, the story was engrossing, full of action and revelation. Romance is secondary but this is very suspenseful with some paranormal elements, which I love. This is different yet enjoyable and I admit even though I didn't realize that this wasn't another Soulwink romance story, it shows growth, depth and takes things to a new exciting level. Wow! Whispers of the Wolf is the first book in the Spinoff series, Whisper Valley Wolf Pack. This is a steamy, fates mate with a twist, romance. It is the story of Ryan, Owen's brother from a past book, and Georgia, a geologist who wants to study the soulwink stones. I don't want to give anything away as this book was fast-paced and kept me guessing along the way. The couple had amazing chemistry, and I loved that Ryan finally gets love but the cliffhanger at the end...ugh. i can't wait for the Curse of the Wolf to finish this story.

Whisper of the Wolf is an intense story and give you the origin of the Soul Wink stones as well as the shifters in the Whisper Valley.

Georgia is a geologist who arrived in town to study the soul wink stone that her brother told her about. This leads her to the cave and opens her eyes to more than she knew.

Ryan is a vessel for the wolf that bit him. His job in the pack is to watch the cave and kill any humans that come around. When Georgia enters the cave, Ryan can not do it.

Amazing story of love, loss, deceit, promise mixed with the danger and suspense as you wait to see what happens.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book leads off from the Soulwink series but takes it in a whole other direction and world. Georgia and Ryan meet while she is researching the stones. He knows she is special and can feel that they have unbreakable ties. Georgia is the focus of everyone at this point and many are out to harm her. Danger, violence, mystery, secrets and drama right up until the end of the book which leads you into the next. It's complicated at times but stick with it. It will help to read the Soulwink series first. This is a good spin from that series and on the legend and source of the stones

Paranormal romance is usually not my genre - but I will read anything written by Megan Wade. And Whisper of the Wolf, the first book in her Whisper Valley Wolf Pack series, is absolutely phenomenal. Well-written, engrossing, engaging - and steamy and swoon-worthy as all of her other works. Ryan and Georgia's fated meeting and the adventure that awaits them is an entertaining read. The supporting cast is absolutely amazing. And the journey and backstory of the supernatural heartstones in Whisper Valley a tale you can't put down. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Oh man, this is part one of two! I’m so disappointed that there is a cliffhanger, but that is the only spoiler I got for you. There was action. There is things that are now coming to fruition because of the heart stones. Georgia in the Creek, Falls and that’s how she met Ryan. A.k.a. Owen‘s twin brother. Oh boy! Very good story. A whole bunch of stuff that you need to read. Other stories, of course can be a stand alone but suggest reading the whole series from the beginning to get a feel for what is in store in this book. As mentioned a cliffhanger.

This was a 3 1/2-star read for me. I gave it a try because I enjoyed the Whisper Valley Soulwink and the Soulwink Candles and Curves Series. I thought, "OK Werewolves, Soulwink, sure?!" Georgia is a geologist and is searching for the "soulwink" stones to study them. She traces them back to the sacred cave, where Ryan, a shifter, has the job of protecting the cave. When he sees the human Georgia, he knows this human is his mate. The book is well-paced and has compelling characters, sizzle, steam, drama, and more.

Okay, so this book was good and I had really been looking forward to the shifter side of this story but I have to be honest and say some of it was really confusing. It started very slow, to me, but the storyline was better at the end of the book. It’s just that the whole wolf soulmate and human soulmate thing got a little confusing and I didn’t like when they talked about the humans as just vessels. Seemed too much like they were violated. But overall a good story and I curious where it goes.
