Tainted Encounters: The Notorious Five Series

My purpose in life has always been to look after the people around me. My friends, my family, and my patients in the emergency room. Taking care of people is my calling; it’s what fulfills me. I’ve never needed anything more. At least that was what I thought until I first saw that pair of captivating green eyes, and my world tilted on its axis. Hunter Gambino, a dangerous man whose name precedes him. We met by chance, but I can’t seem to escape his orbit. No matter how many times we cross paths, no matter how many times I push back, the outcome is inevitable. But we are opposites. Opposites may attract, but they don’t belong together. Hunter and Cori's story
Book 4 of the Notorious Five and I have to admit that even if I have still one bad boy to read, Hunter has climbed to my number one and I'm sure Ryder can't take his place.
Briefly the story...
Hunter is mesmerized by the doctor who operated his friend Axel when he was shot. Even if he tries to approach her she always seems to show him away. Various encounters later he manages to take her number and they start dating. Their relationship is easy to go and explosive in bed. They talk much and both carry heavy burdens from their past. On a fateful event, Hunter pushes Cori away telling her she doesn't belong in his world. That's when his downfall begins as he tries to numb himself to alcohol and drugs, something that Cori is completely against.
In an attempt to talk to him, Cori sees him taking drugs and runs away. Only for Hunter to go after her in the rain and tell her how he feels. THE BEST SCENE IN THE BOOK! But it's late. It's too late for them. She leaves the country and when she returns Hunter has reached the bottom. However, you need to reach your nadir in order to understand what you lost and fight for it. That happened to Hunter.
This book helped me understand that the more broken a MMC becomes in a book, the more I feel for him, the more I like the book. That was also the reason Hunter is on top of the five for me! This book was the one I liked the most by Sophie Dyer so far.
I have only one disadvantage to note and that is in the first 20% of the book. There were many mentions of Hunter in Axel's and Max's stories which made me lose interest at first. I thought these weren't needed as the only question I had about Hunter from the other books was who was he messaging to, and it was pretty obvious.
I absolutely recommend this book.

I cannot express how much I love this series!!!!
Sophie Dyer has a way with her characters and storytelling that just keeps me hooked from the first few words.

This is part of a series " The Notorious Five" but it can be read as a standalone. I havent read much from Sophie or the other books in this series but this book has me wanting more so now i will be adding the series to my TBR. PLOT 5/5. SPICE 5/5.

Hunter is part of the "Notorious Five". Their reputation definitely proceeds them. When his best friend and business partner gets shot and need medical attention he meets Cori, a doctor. Hunter is your typical playboy that never goes back for seconds. But something about the Doctor has him wanting her.
Cori has had a very rough and difficult life. She manages to turn it all around. That is until a certain man comes crashing into her life.
Watching their relationship blossom and unfold was an incredible journey.

Tainted Encounters
Sophie Dyer is a one click author for me. I love this series so much. This is book 4 of the Notorious 5 series and imma be soooooo sad when it’s over. I love all of these books.
Hunter and Cori are perfection. From being kidnapped to lovers, this book had me in all of the feels. Hunter is now my favorite Sophie character, and that’s saying something!!! 😍😍😍
These can be read as stand alones but I recommend reading any and all Sophie Dyer books!!!!

Another five stars for the Notorious Five! Sophie has a knack for writing male leads who are the perfect blend of wrong-for-you and Mr. Right.

This series is great!!! Gotta finish the rest of the books in the series, but I hope it doesn't end there. Hope she continues to write more books for the series.

Hunter's character had me curious about him from book one!
Hunter and Cori's love story is epic to say the least. Cori is strong on her convictions and not even a man with Hunters sweet charm can break her down.
The road to the HEA here is broken and patched with plenty of give and take. Hunter is so selfless underneath his hard exterior that you almost want to dislike Cori for not falling for him instantly and forgetting the world he lives in.
Hunter and Cori's love story is epic to say the least. Cori is strong on her convictions and not even a man with Hunters sweet charm can break her down.
