Show 'em How was impossible to put down. Jami Davenport writing and her characters conquered me at the first page.
Jakob was just traded to the Portland Icehawks, and as a single father of two boys he needs a nanny pronto. Gardenia is great with the kids, but she doesn't look like your usual nanny so she isn't his first choice, but could she be his definitive one?
I loved Jakob and Gardenia a lot. They are so different but they have a lot of chemistry. Their tiptoeing around each other trying to keep their distance is endearing as useless as it is. They can be different but they still belong together, and with Rowen and Ryder they form a beautiful bond and such a perfect family.
I was so glad to see Mama Bang arrive and push these two stubborn to consider their feelings for each other without any fear.
I've enjoyed this novel and I can't wait to read book three in this series.

Oh boy, I really enjoyed this story and I loved the dynamics of the characters and the chemistry. Even the twins stole my heart alongside Leo, who I already knew about and had come to love❤️🩹 Such a great story and I’m excited for the rest of the Bang brothers…I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review😍

Mama Bang is back at it again, trying to find love for her son after his brutal divorce and his ex abandoning their kids. Little does she know that Jakob is in the process of fighting growing feelings for his live-in nanny, Gardenia. Total opposites who had a chance encounter when both were in need of comfort and stress relief and now need each other to get through the next few months in one piece.
I loved the way Gardenia connected with the boys and how she always treated them with dignity and respect, even when they were being punished. I know the future will hold great things once she gets her ECE designation. I also loved that despite her unconventional appearance, she's probably more mature than everyone else in the book. And the drama Jami teased for the rest of the series was fantastic.

His wife had left him and so they were now divorced, the boys were causing problems with every nanny he hired, he just got traded to a new team the Portland Icehawks on the other side of the country and the new nanny that was suggested for him was a woman he had a one night fling with months earlier and she was not the perfect nanny type. Could it get any worse? Yup it could, his mother retired and now had her mind set on making sure everyone of her kids was in a solid relationship. Gardenia rocked his world in more ways than one and the boys adore her. Can he fend off the definite attraction to her or will he finally admit that maybe she is just what they all need in their life right now.

I’ll take all the grumpy single Dads with the sunshine nanny all day, every day. “Show ‘em How” is a heartfelt, sweet and romantic second book in the “Bang Brothers” hockey romance series.
Jakob Bang is a recently divorced single Dad to twin boys and has been traded to the Portland Icehawks. He has full custody of his boys and is in need of a nanny asap. Gardenia loves kids and is going to school to get her degree in early childhood education. She comes highly recommended and both are surprised when she shows up and they already know each other. They were each other’s one night stand from a few months prior. Jakob’s boys fall for her instantly and she accepts the two navigate the chemistry they still have. But when Mama Bang comes into town, all bets are off once she sees how these two are together.
I loved how Jakob and Gardenia met. A random chance at a bar and a night that neither forgot.Jakob is an amazing Dad and it shines throughout the book. His sons, Rowan and Ryder, were adorable little troublemakers who kept their Dad on his toes. Jakob has some baggage from his marriage and him being cautious over any relationship was totally justified. Gardenia is all the goodness they needed in a rock music girlie’s body. She’s nurturing, kind and truly cares for the boys. As time went on, the chemistry between Jakob and Gardenia only grew stronger and harder for them to deny. I love Mama Bang and how she was able to come in and give them the nudge they needed. That woman has a knack for it and I can't wait to see what she does with the other siblings. I love having appearances from some of the Icehawks as part of this story. I loved their ending and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

4.25 stars. Jakob, the male professional hockey player lead, and Gardenia, the female nanny lead, had a one night stand six months ago, both on the rebound from previous relationships. Now, Jakob has transferred team to Gardenia’s local and desperately needs a nanny for his twins. When Gardenia is the best (and only) option, they agree to three months, after which she’ll go to college and he’ll have organised another nanny.
They both know the previous attraction remains but they’re sure they can ignore it. Jakob knows he’s not in the headspace for more - he doesn’t trust his partner selection capabilities. But his boys love Gardenia in a way they haven’t cared for previous nannies, and that attraction is becoming more pressing. Gardenia knows that she hasn’t been able to keep her heart safe and Jakob is still convinced he’s not ready for more so maybe she needs a new job…
This story is dual POV, well written, and an angsty, steamy, contemporary sports romance. I enjoyed Gardenia’s depth of feeling for those around her, and her willingness to engage even at the risk of her heart. I empathised with Jakob’s concerns and his fear of making bad choices again, but was a little frustrated by his reticence. I enjoyed how engaged a father Jakob was when he was present, and the active representations of his children, and their engagement in the relationship. I enjoyed the intimate scenes, even when interactions around them frustrated me. I appreciated the engaged secondary characters.

Another wonderful installment of the Bang Brothers! I am a buyer of all things Jami Davenport and this one is another great book! All of the authors writing this series are favorites of mine! This book can be read as a stand alone but I recommend getting the first book in the series and reading it!
Jakob and his boys have been through a rough couple years and then their world is turned upside down when he is traded to the Icehawks. 6 months earlier his divorce was finalized while he was on a road trip in Portland and he had a one night stand to help him forget. When he was traded to the Icehawks he was in desperate need of a nanny and not just any nanny one that would stick. His boys have a history of running off the nanny! He goes the door and who does he find?
Gardenia has been working at a pre-school that has closed. She is also going to school to get her Master's so she can open her own school and is in need of money. Her friend tells her about this nanny job and she goes to the interview but can only take it on a temp basis because she is going back to school. When she rings the doorbell two adorable little boys answer the door but when dad comes to the door, guess who it is?
This is a great story about 2 people that have had their hearts broken, their own issues and who come to find comfort and love in each other. That's not to say that Mama Bang doesn't have a hand in them coming to their senses!

Gardenia "Dee" is 28 and her goal is to own her own preschool, and she's working toward her degree in early childhood education. She needs a job badly and her friend who works for the Icehawks has recommended her for a nanny position.

Show ‘Em How is book two in the Bang Brothers Hockey series and book six in Ms. Davenport’s Portland Icehawks series. I love hockey and single dad romance stories so when those tropes are in the same book how can you go wrong? Well you can’t with this one! It was so easy to root for Jakob Bang and Stella Bliss, wishing they would both admit to what they felt for one another.
A one night stand between two strangers turns interesting when fate throws them back into each other’s lives. Jakob desperately needs a nanny to care for his two rambunctious five year old twin boys after his contentious divorce and Gardenia is happy to be hired as a nanny as she loves children and needs the money to pursue her education to open her own daycare someday. Gardenia does not meet Jakob’s stereotypical idea as a nanny but it is definitely a situation that meets both of their needs. However, even with them being polar opposites, they can’t seem to deny is their attraction towards one another and the passion that is still there from their initial one night together months earlier. Can they both open their hearts and admit how they feel? Read, enjoy and find out. I know you will love their journey as much as I did.

Jakob is one of the Bang brothers and is a hockey player. I felt bad that his ex wife only wanted his money and took off with half and left the twin five year old boys with him. Jakob met Gardenia or Dee in Portland and had a one night stand. Neither thought they would see each other again. He gets traded to Portland as he hasn’t been doing too well in his hockey games. He needs a nanny quickly as he is going on a week trip for hockey. One of the staff can do anything so she sets him up with a nanny interview and who shows up? The rocker looking woman he had met a few months back. His boys are good kids, but can be terrors and usually scare the nanny away. Even though Gardenia can only be a nanny for three and a half months, he has no choice but to hire her. Gardenia was so good with the boys and there were some heartbreaking questions the boys had at times. It was fun watching Jakob and Gardenia try to stay away from each other in the house. You will love it when Jakob’s mother comes to visit and the shenanigans she pulls to try and get Jakob a wife. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it.

Another Portland Icehawk book combined with the second Bang Brother book - double the fun!
Seeing favorite characters from the Portland Icehawk series is always entertaining and enjoyable. Jakob is a new addition to the team and had been a part of Jason Wild & Addison Barlowe’s story, so this felt a little like getting the another POV to their romance.
Gardenia and Jakob’s past one night stand is front and center in both of their memories despite them each wanting to forget about it. Her being the new nanny to his five year old twins adds a level of discomfort to Jakob’s life as he battles his attraction to her as he watches his boys blossom in her care. This romance is a bumpy ride before Mama Bang arrives to add some extra chaos into the mix. Mama Bang is determined to see her son happy and on his way to settled with a good women - whether he wants that or not!
As his big brother Kingston said ‘Tag, you’re it!’

5 star review of Show ‘Em How (Bang Brothers Hockey #2) by Jami Davenport
The Bang Brothers is written by multiple authors about the Bang Brothers and their sister and I could not wait to dive into Show ‘Em How by Jami Davenport.
This is single dad Jakob Bang and Gardenia (Dee) Bliss‘s story and from the first chapter Ms. Davenport wove a story that had me totally invested. I love this family, particularly the interfering Mama Stella Bang, such a great character.
Having just been traded to the Portland Icehawks. Jakob is looking for a nanny for his twin 5 year old sons Rowan and Ryder ; he is shocked when his one night stand Gardenia is recommended. Neither are looking for a relationship and yet the chemistry between them sizzles.
It was entertaining to watch the push and pull dynamic as their relationship progressed. However the question remains, can Jakob come to terms with his past and risk his heart on a future with Dee?
I loved this book, it ticked all the boxes for me and I cannot wait for the next story to release.
The Bang Brothers is written by multiple authors about the Bang Brothers and their sister and I could not wait to dive into Show ‘Em How by Jami Davenport.
This is single dad Jakob Bang and Gardenia (Dee) Bliss‘s story and from the first chapter Ms. Davenport wove a story that had me totally invested. I love this family, particularly the interfering Mama Stella Bang, such a great character.
Having just been traded to the Portland Icehawks. Jakob is looking for a nanny for his twin 5 year old sons Rowan and Ryder ; he is shocked when his one night stand Gardenia is recommended. Neither are looking for a relationship and yet the chemistry between them sizzles.
It was entertaining to watch the push and pull dynamic as their relationship progressed. However the question remains, can Jakob come to terms with his past and risk his heart on a future with Dee?
I loved this book, it ticked all the boxes for me and I cannot wait for the next story to release.

I have said it before, but I love compilation books many authors get together and each write an installment of the series. The Bang Brothers Hockey series is one of them. I did not have the pleasure to read the first in the series, but I did read this one as I am a total Icehawks Fan. I love the concept that a mother feels the loss of her best friend so much that she feels the need to make sure her sons don't wait for love until it is too late to do so.
Jakob is divorced, traded with no notice, and had two rambunctious boys. Stress to the nth degree.
Add in a one night stand coming around for a job brings the stress to a whole new level in more than one way. Gardenia "Dee" to her friends never would have though the one night stand would be the dad of her new job. The twins are cute, and the dad is hot. Dee is in trouble with a capital "T". Jakob Bang loves his two young boys and his job in professional hockey but needs a nanny to make his life smoother. He has gone through several and now has been traded to Portland and must find another. He temporarily hires Gardenia who is starting school in January so that gives him 3 months to find a permanent person. He doesn’t expect to be attracted to her with her love of unique hair colors, organic healthy foods and love of rock music but once he also sees her love of his children he is a goner. They explore their attraction knowing it is not a good idea and then his mother shows up and makes it even more difficult. When I love a couple I get nervous about their ending so I look ahead. I only made it 40% until I had to check that they get a HEA. This is a fun series featuring each of the Bang siblings being “helped” by their mother into finding their one. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

This is the second book in the multi author Bang Brothers hockey series. I couldn't wait to dive into this one because it's a single dad/nanny romance. I just gobble them up. Jakob is in desperate need of a nanny too bad the one who is perfect looks nothing like a typical nanny not to mention his one night stand. I loved Gardenia right off the bat. I love how she is her true authentic self. She is exactly who Jakob and his boys need. She brings a light back into their home. Mama Bang is up to her meddling ways. I love she comes for Christmas. It stood out what Gardenia does for Christmas. Makes a little bit more special for this family. This book has a good combination of heart, heat, and humor.

This is an awesome read. I got this series in kick starter and have enjoyed it so much. There are six authors, three of which are my favorites and looking forward to reading the three other ones. So I couldn’t pass it up. I have read a lot of Jami’s book and throughly enjoyed them. Mama Bang is determined to make sure her six children get their HEA so she has become their matchmaker. This is Jakob’s ,who is the second oldest, book. He is divorced, is a single father of twins who definitely are rambunctious and been traded to Portland. He needs a nanny and is reluctant to hire Gardenia, a punk rocker fan, tattoo up and left behind by her rocker boyfriend. They each have issues with relationships and fear of starting over. I have loved reading this one. It’s worth the read.

Between their sexual tension and their crazy hot chemistry? I. Was. Hooked.
While their relationship started with a bang (pun intended) it was the small things that I adored.
The lingering glances, the way Gardenia cared for the boys, the way she seemed to just fit in their chaotic world that kept my attention.
Rowan and Ryder were beyond cute - I enjoyed their enthusiastic tendencies and their penchant for mischief. I guess they got it from their Grandma!
While she wasn't as prevalent in this book she still left her mark, and as always, she managed to get her way.
I can't wait to see what her meddling does in the next book.

I’m loving the Bang Brothers! Show ‘em How is the third book in the Band Brothers series and its fantastic! This is Jakob and Gardenia’s story. Jakob is a single father of 5 year old twin boys and has been trained to to the Portland Icehawks. He needs a nanny for the boys and Gardenia comes highly recommended. When they meet they find out they already know each other. They had a one night stand. She is perfect for the boys and they love her. Jakob and Gardenia are fighting their growing feelings. Mama Bang is there to help them along. She has a way to get her boys matched up. I love her! I can’t wait to see what she goes with the other brothers!

This is not the first book in the Bang Bros series or the Ice Hawk series but it an be read as a complete stand alone. However you will know more of the secondary characters and recognize the main characters as the storylines overlap. But everything you need will be given to you. And once you read this book you will want to read them all. I can't wait for Jensen's story!

Love these Bang brothers and, of course, their mom(Stella)!!!
This one starts off slower than the first, of course different author. It took me a little bit to get into. I loved the characters and the storyline! It was just a little slow for me. The twin boys are awesome and seeing the little family interact was wonderful. Good read, can't wait for the next Bang brother and mom's meddling!!

I absolutely adored this book. The storyline was wonderfully funny and has a gigantic heart. All the characters were amazing. From super sassy Gardenia to gruff Jacob to the scene stealing twins Rowan & Ryder to the delightfully diabolical Mama Bang, they were all easy to love and I couldn't get enough of them. This was really just an all-around incredible romance that tickles your heart and fills it with pure joy.

Jakob and Gardenia are an unlikely couple. When Gardenia is hired to nanny the boys it is position with an end date. Gardenia starts school in three months The problem is the attraction is real. Gardenia is the first nanny the boys both love and she has an end date. Jakob has also caught feelings. Good thing mamma bang will be visiting to work her magic!

Imagine Jakob and Gardenia's surprise when she turns up at his home as his new nanny. Normally not a big deal, but it is when they've met already, under very different circumstances. But, no matter how much their chemistry is still present, they cannot give into it now that she's nannying his 2 adorable but precocious sons. They'll stay professional...until Mama Bang comes into town and does her best to meddle her way into Jakob's love life this time.
Mama Bang is at it again and I was here for it all! This time around, Jakob is her target, and he doesn't make it easy for her. Nor does Gardenia - both have been hurt by former relationships, especially Jakob, so the angst is a bit high. But this grumpy/sunshine pair was never going to be able to resist not only Mama's matchmaking, but each other. Gardenia was too good for and to the boys, and Jakob was never going to be able to not have his heart melted by it. And poor Gardenia...she's so amazing, but Jakob put her through it. Thank God they came to their senses, got on the same page, and let Mama have her way with their resistance. I can't wait for the next son to try to resist when his mom comes around to meddle.
