I feel rather sad now that I've read the last of the Sisters of the Heart books... This last story focused on the oldest of the foster sisters, Georgia. She arrived late on account of an injury sustained just as she was getting ready to leave for Lavender Valley. Another soul tormented by loss recently, and with life serving another curveball soon after, Georgia arrives hoping that, like before, the farm and Jewel's memories will help her. And it does. The lavender festival brings so much joy to everyone, and she even manages to meet someone she never thought she would see again. Someone with whom she could possibly enjoy the rest of her life. Each story was rounded off so well within this book, leaving readers happy they all got the happiness they deserved. And I have to admit to speaking to the Hubby about a dream of getting a dog one day... Tammy L. Grace, I blame you!
Reunion in Lavender Valley is the sixth and final book of the Sisters of the Heart series and is focused on Georgia Moore, the last of the five sisters finally able to come home to Lavender Valley.
Georgia is grieving the recent loss of her husband Lee, and soon finds out she is not as financially stable as she should have been and is no longer able to live in their home. She needs a new plan for her life, but at her age she isn’t sure she can start over. Harry’s invitation to join the other women that her foster mother Jewell had dubbed her “sisters of the heart” seemed like a good place to start. So Georgia heads to Lavender Valley just in time to help with the Lavender Festival, and hopes while she is there she can spend some time sorting out her life and find her new purpose.
I suggest reading the series in order since the books build upon each other and you get to know each of the characters. If you are like me, you will grow to love the town and all its people. Book one, Greetings from Lavender Valley (which is a free download) is a compilation of letters written by Jewel Austin to five of the women she and her husband Chuck had fostered.
Chuck and Jewel Austin were wonderful foster parents. To many of their dozens of foster children they were the only parents they ever really knew or could count on. Throughout the years Jewel had written letters to five of the girls she had forged a special bond with. She enjoyed keeping up with their lives and keeping that special relationship strong. In Greetings from Lavender Valley, you meet all the main characters through these letters.
Reunion in Lavender Valley is such a wonderful ending to an amazing series! I loved every book in Tammy Grace’s Sisters of the Heart series. It was bittersweet though because I did not want to say goodbye to the sisters and to all the special people I had “met” in Lavender Valley. If Lavender Valley was a real town I would wholeheartedly love to visit (or move there) and immerse myself in this lovely town.
Since I am not one to retell the story, or give spoilers, I will leave it there. As with all of Tammy Grace’s books this newest one did not disappoint, I loved it as much as all her others. If you love small towns, furry friends, and a sprinkling of sweet romance you are going to love this one too!
“Reunion…” is a bitter-sweet book as it concludes the memorable Lavender Valley series. Georgia, the eldest and last ‘sister’ arrives in Lavender Valley just in time to contribute her craft items, and assist, at the long-planned Lavender Festival. Meeting her childhood foster-companion, Dale, soon after her arrival is an added bonus. Tammy Grace has crafted this saga with skilful character development, great ambience, and a beautiful setting. Although each book has a unique story-line, they are linked and should be read in sequence to enjoy the full benefit of Jewel’s legacy. This final instalment relates Georgia’s ‘journey’ during the months she stays on the farm and gives each sister and her significant partner the expected conclusion. The future of the farm, however, remains a mystery until the epilogue. I received a free advance review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
What a great series this has been! The author has created characters I want to know and a place I want to visit. If you haven’t read it yet, I recommend you start at the beginning.
In this last book of the series, Jewel’s final request is realized as Georgia makes it back to the farm. The Lavender festival is around the corner and the “sisters” are about to learn the outcome of their combined efforts to honor their beloved foster parents and sustain the farm.
There are lots of loose ends tied up in terms of relationships and plans, plus an unexpected twist that has Georgia rethinking her decision.
This is a heartwarming story centered on the idea that the seeds of love and support sown by Jewel and Chuck decades earlier blossomed into a second chance family for the Sisters of the Heart.
This is the final book in the sisters of the heart series and is Georgia’s story. As with all the books, I recommend that you go back to Greetings from Lavender Vally where you meet each of the sisters when they first arrive as foster kids at Jewel’s and reread that sister’s story. Georgia is finally able to make it to Lavender Valley after a shoulder injury prevented her from driving there sooner. She arrives in time for the Lavender Festival and brings with her many beautiful creations she has sewn to sell. She gets a part-time job at a fabric and yarn store where she is able to continue making her creations when the store isn’t busy. At the festival, she runs into Dale, who was at Jewel’s during the time Georgia was, but was adopted and they lost contact. This book finishes each of the sisters’ stories and is a wonderful ending to a beautiful storyline.
Oh, be still my heart! This is such an inspirational story of second chances. The book is beautifully crafted, and the series is exceptional. How is it that I always fall in love with all the characters Tammy creates. I want to be friends with them. I want to live and experience all the places they visit. I want to hang out with them and oh my word I want to eat all those delectable foods they create. But then, I am sad when the series comes to an end, and I wonder if I can plead with the author to somehow come up with just one more book in this series. However, on the bright side, she does cross over between series which allows me a glimpse into the lives of all my other favorite characters. Thank you to Tammy L. Grace for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
Lavender Valley has it all…and as the ‘sisters of the Heart’ learn, it has something special for each of them. Georgia, the last of Jewel’s former foster children has arrived. She too has experienced heartache, but just being back at Lavender farm the warm memories of her time spent there so long ago begins to heal her heartache. With a busy festival to prepare for, the sisters each in their own way contribute their talents and memories of JeweI, giving each of them a second chance of happiness.I had goosebumps, tears and smiles reading this last book in this delightful series. Sorry it is the last book, but I know Author, Tammy Grace won’t let her readers down. I’m sure she has a lot more wonderful books for all of us to read.
This is a good series with interesting intertwined stories
From the introduction of each character in the first book of Jewel's letters to each of these women who were her foster children at one time, to the last book where all the loose ends were neatly brought together, it was a lovely read. Each life was different and each girl developed into the women they became because of this woman and her husband's love for them. I enjoyed the drama, the hard decisions each one had to make, and the good second chances each one found. It was well written and well developed. The characters were all different, their background stories described their places in life and blended together to make a good series. Satisfying endings for these sisters of the heart.
This final book in the series tells Georgia’s story and wraps up other threads in the journey of the Sisters of the Heart. From Jewel, the loving foster mom, to Harry, Mikki, Lydia , Olivia and Georgia, the foster daughters she was closest to over the years, these are women I would love to know and be friends with. Tammy Grace writes characters that are real and engaging and her stories pull you in until the end. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys women’s fiction.
Reunion in Lavender Valley by Tammy L. Grace brought me to great big ugly tears more than once in the process of reading this last book in the Sisters of the Heart series. Why? Because I fell hopelessly in love with the characters and the story. The town of Lavender Valley is another one of those places that I would gladly pack up my home and move to. It is a beautiful little town that has not changed much in the last several years. The sisters all remembered places that were in town when they lived there with Jewel, their foster mom.
I am so sad that this may be the last time I get to read about these characters. They became like friends and family to me. The many people that you meet from this little town are all people I would be honored to have in my life. I can just imagine what it would be like living there and having the support of loving people.
The first book Greetings From Lavender Valley is a free download. It gives you the background of Jewel and why she and her husband became foster parents. Jewel became close to five of the girls and always kept in touch with them and considered them her daughters. This book will tell you about all five girls and why they are invited back to keep Jewel’s lavender farm and festival going into the future. Every book focuses on the arrival of each new girl. Actually, they are grown women now and you find out that they each have a reason to go home.
I love how each of their lives are getting a fresh start and seeing where they are headed. I enjoyed how they helped each other adjust and how they all worked together in Jewel’s memory to make the lavender festival a great success.
This is a truly unique premise for a series and I enjoyed every minute of my time spent with Jewel’s girls on her farm. You know, I was jealous that they were all there together and I could only read about it. I wanted to be there with them. By the way, so did Georgia! She was the last to arrive. She lost her husband and home very close together and really needed her sister's support. They video chatted with her before her arrival so we did get to meet her a bit earlier.
Tammy did a great job winding up the story and tying up all the loose ends. She still left me wanting more. I always want more when there is a series as great as this one. So, if you love a book and series with a lot of love and heart at the core, this series is a winner! Absolutely one of the best series I’ve read. I strongly urge you to download Greetings From Lavender Valley and then buy the rest of the books and settle in for a nice binge read. Until next time…Happy Reading!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. Opinions in this review are completely my own.

What a fantastic series. It left me wanting more. Each woman's journey from their first meeting Jewel and Chuck to their ending up back at the farm were fascinating tales. Being at the farm and remembering their healing helped to heal them again. I absolutely loved this series. The way it brought in characters from other series made it seven more special. I highly recommend this series. Once you read the first, you can't wait to read the rest.
I loved the series I loved all the characters beautiful people wonderful stories and drama Just great. But I suggest whoever's going to read the series please do it on a full stomach because the author's description of food and cooking and desserts is mouth watering and if you're not full you'll get hungry reading about everything! Great characters and I'm going to miss them but I enjoyed them.
This was the last book of this series and it was bitter sweet for me. I loved this series and didn't want it to end. I enjoy reading books that the main characters are women "with age". I am happy that all worked out for each of the sisters of the heart. I have read the Hometown Harbor series and was happy that it was incorporated in this book. Now I am on a mission to read Glass Beach books.
Reading the last book in this series has left me a little sad, I felt as if my sisters had just left me. I was so emotionally invested in this series it was wonderful.
I would recommend this series to anyone who felt lost at any time in their life. It has shown me to never ever think life or love is over.
Sweet ending to a lovely series. Especially liked that the women were more mature with real life experiences. The ending was perfect for the series, and not what I thought would happen. This was my first books by this author, but they will not be my last. The books are perfect reads for in between heavier reads.
Sisters of the Heart is another great series from Tammy L Grace! I love how she intertwines characters from other series into it. I only wish I could have such a great group of friends close by!
Another great series by Tammy. Best Author out there. All of her series are so wonderful and the way she brings the people from all her series together in her books is amazing. If you haven't read her series I say get started you won't be disappointed.
So many heart warming true life lessons of terrible child hoods turned into wonderful loving good women through the kindness of two caring adults. Just one way of changing the world to a better place for all...
So beautiful, heartwarming and inspiring series. Very positive and uplifting Sisters of the heart is fabulous! Each book is about a sister and her life . Beautiful story
Wonderful ending for this series. Each of the sisters found opportunities in employment they enjoyed and a full life ahead with their soul mates. Highly recommend this series.

I was very pleased that this book tied up all of the loose ends of each women’s life. I was also amused to find the women from Friday Island inserted into this story. It was greatly written. I enjoyed it a lot.
I couldn’t put these books down! The writing is great and the stories compelling. I wanted more books! Or I want to move to Lavender Valley. Highly recommend these books.
The characters were so fun and loving. The community was a very committed to the people who lived there. They were hard working people. The romance was very exciting. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
I can't get enough of these series by Tammy L Grace! I'm starting the Glass Beach Cottage series and don't know what I'll do after I finish it. The characters feel like family!
I loved this series! I never had to go trugh what they did but did open my mind! Loved all the girls and their significant beaux! I liked on last book the updates that were done on Her new house!
Loved this book- what a great, heartfelt story to wrap up this series. I love that a bit of Hometown Harbor comes into this book, and it is just so sad that this one is the end. So much more to look forward to with these Sisters of the Heart. If I could give this book 10 stars I would! Thank you Tammy for introducing us to these wonderful women!
