Right, I can't believe this book has a 3,61 average rating at the time of me writing this review, because Jesus, I had some serious issues with this book while reading.
First of all, immediately in like the first 15 pages, there are a couple plot mistakes. Where it says "5 years later", but then they refer to an incident from chapter 1 saying "3 years ago"....?
Next, the dialogue moved way too fast at certain points which made it so unbelievable and ridiculous.
This was 10 minutes maybe after meeting each other and she just comes up with a bandname out of nowhere that they accept. No thought or consideration is being put into such a big decision, which for me made it unrealistic.
Then she gets a stalker (been reading too much dark romance books, because I wasn't too concerned at first lol). At first she's silly but then finally decides to hire bodyguards who are 8 feet tall (well 2 out of 5), for all the people not using the silly imperial units, that's almost 2,5 metres!!
Like, I understand this is an omegaverse book, but omg, that's insanely tall! And in the rest of the book there's no mention of how their size might be awkward or difficult in certain situations.
Also, I can't understand how they fell in love so fast? But I'll blame it on a side effect of the Omegaverse (even though it seems silly people can fall in love based on how someone smells lmao).
Anyway, if you can get past all that, we move deeper into the plot where she fires them after she gets spanked for disobeying (and almost getting kidnapped). Also, later in the book, she wants to be spanked, but now it was something horrible 🙄.
Now, my biggest issue with this book is when she inevitably gets kidnapped and is forced to sleep in a bed with two alphas to bring on her heat (for those not aware, that means she'll be able to get pregnant, which is what the kidnappers want, because Omegas have gotten too many rights over the past years.... hmm... moving on...).
Of course, one of these alphas is her horrible ex Jordan , who then proceeds to sexually assault her repeatedly !!!!
Now, this scene was already a bit too detailed for my liking, but I hated how the author proceeded to brush over this. As if yea, it was a slight inconvenience, but you know, she's with her "true loves" now, so no harm done. The mental health damage that would do just doesn't exist in this author's world.
About halfway through the book, you shift from having a bit of plot to mostly sex scenes every other chapter, which made it seem like the plot in the beginning was just to set the scene.
Lastly, after Lacy (the FMC) gets rescued from her kidnappers, her cousin gets left behind. But she's in heat, so she spends the entire evening having sex. And then when it's over, she gets taken out to a carnival where the 5 bodyguards propose to her and then they instantly get married. I have never liked that in books when they get a surprise wedding (mainly because I'd never want my wedding to be like that probably), but it just seems so unrealistic to me.
Then she spends the entire evening consummating the marriage, while her cousin (and good friend) is still trapped and probably getting raped .
So yea, at first I wanted to give two stars for the cover, but I've decided to bring it back down to one star. It was a disappointment almost from start to finish. I wouldn't have finished it if it was any longer...

Felt a bit lacking after a few of the books in the series. But still better than others

I’ve enjoyed the author’s omega books in the past but this one didn’t hit the mark. Throughout the book I found constant flaws, at one point two male characters get physically hurt. And later you see that the the injuries that they received he swapped around. Another point she’s swimming and but the writing keeps going back and forth between her swimsuit and underwear…pick one and stick with it.
It’s almost like she felt the need to rush this story and didn’t really care all that much about it.
Hopefully the next one gets better because if the inconsistencies keep happening it’s going to ruin the enjoyment I’ve found with her stores so far.

The FMC is supposed to be a headstrong omega when really she is a spoiled, entitled brat. Why hire bodyguards and then sneak out without them. And is willfully ignorant to basic safety practices. It's just annoying.
If you like a strong, confident FMC, this is not for you!

The beginning of Laces journey was interesting and thrilling, but I felt as if the end of the story was being rushed. Like halfway through the book she hated the bodyguards and then suddenly when they came to rescue her she was all over them like nothing happened. And then they got engaged and married on the same day?
And nothing in the plot really stuck out to me. I didn't hate it per-say but it didn't have anything memorable to be. To be honest I would like to give it 2 1/2 stars but since you can't give half stars this will just have to do.
It also might have helped me if I read the whole series, but I'm lazy and still have another 180+ books to read.

I can't trust anyone who gives this book a 5 star!
I could ignore the typos, plot mistakes (first 5 years then a few paragraphs below it was three years), the rushed sex scene, the cringy sex scene and the fact that this is not a RH but a girl who wants Ryder and the other tagged along. Sigh. I could get over that!

Layla has done it again with Craved by the Pack which is book 7. And oh my book 8 is Olivia’s story. Lacy had a horrible experience with her ex and has left her not wanting to be with a pack. Focused on her singing career and all that she has accomplished, life is good. Until she finds herself being stalked and in need of bodyguards. Ryker the pack leader, Ethan and Adrian are all Alphas. Cooper and Lucas round the pack as Deltas. Protection is Ryker’s main focus and Lacy give him and his pack a run for their money. Not wanting her freedom to be taken away she defies them at every turn. Her stalker succeeds and kidnaps her. Will Lacy be stuck with her stalker for the rest of her life or will her bodyguards save her?.

If you are looking for pure hot and steamy RH smut with a very poor plot then this is a book for you!
This might be the worst thing I’ve ever read in my life. It felt like a story written by a 13-year-old on Wattpad (I've read better Wattpad stories than this...)
Poorly written, and not consistent, the plot was rushed, the characters were forgettable, and it's so cringy too! I laughed all the way through.💀
This one was weird af but reading this at this point of my life, where I have a lot of stuff happening, helped me relax so maybe don’t take my rating seriously…? If you want to laugh at cringy writings then this is a book for you!

The MMCs were absolute losers than should have lost their jobs as bodyguards a long time ago and the FMC's behavior is so strange.
The FMC is stalked by someone who let's her know that he will rape and impregnate her. He breaks into her house to leave a message. She hires the bodyguards. They check out the home. Apparently they didn't investigate how the stalker got in in the first place?!! And then they leave her, because apparently their job ends in the night.
Of course the stalker breaks in when she is then.
They should have lost their job.
And the next time the stalker breaks a windows and gets in that way.
Why when he got in before without breaking anything?
Also, the FMC is stupid.
She reiterates so often that her own security isn't important to her and that she isn't one of thoseeee stars who have bodyguards.
I don't get her thinking less of that. Famous people are only sensible and smart for protecting themselves. As one should.
Also she just seems to have the hots for Ryker, but not the other pack members and they just go along with it.
The writing is clumsy: description of home, outfit and look are very and and and and remind me of Wattpad 2012, but worse.

He says that he sees her pink panties poking out of the laundry basket. "I knew what they were judging from the lace at the edges."
Other examples of bad writing:
"You are so fucking tight. I love taking your virginity," he said. Then he growled against my collarbone as he released copious amount of semen inside me. I wasn't worried about getting pregnant because of my heat suppressants.
And this was basically the whole sex part. How spicy...
And then the knotting part:
" All I felt now was a giant hot dog-shaped balloon stuffed into my pussy, locking me to this huge alpha bodyguard with intense green eyes and a scar on his face."
Ewwwwwwwwwwww. What is that.

Die Story von Lacy und Ryder‘s Pack mit Ethan, Adrian, Lucas und Cooper hat mir in dieser Reihe bis jetzt am besten gefallen (ich habe die Bücher jedoch nicht der angegebenen Reihenfolge gelesen). Ich mochte die selbstständige und unabhängige Lacy und auch der ältere Ryder war mir von Beginn an sympathisch. Leider musste auch hier die Geschichte darunter leiden, dass die eindeutigen Szenen vorrangig waren und dadurch die Hintergrundinformationen zu den Hauptcharakteren verloren gingen. Ich hätte mir mehr Information und Story um die persönlichen Geschichten der Pack-Mitglieder gewunschen, um einen emotionalen Bezug zu ihnen aufbauen zu können und die Geschichte abzurunden.

Lacy ist die Tochter von Vanessa und sie ist sehr freiheitsliebend. Will aber auch nicht ganz so sein wie ihre Mutter, wobei sie eher Angst davor hat.
Nachdem Lacy von ihren Ex Freund rausgeschmissen wurde, hat sie zufällig zwei Betas getroffen und so startet ihre Karriere.
Man macht einen Zeitsprung und sie hat sich ein gutes Leben aufgebaut.
Dann tritt ein Stalker in ihr Leben und sie braucht schutz.
Man hat ein Happy End und zugleich dne Einstieg in Olivia's Geschichte

A stalker has set his sights on Lacy and she needs protection. Welcome, 5 hot as hell bodyguards- and yep they are going to do much more then just guard her.
A secret society is running amok and someone needs to put a stop to them. This one, kind of leaves off a cliffhanger and we all have to be patient for the next book. I can’t wait!!

Unbelievable that some people actually give this 5 stars. Too many inconsistencies. A lot of cringe character responses during certain scenes, including the “dirty” talk.
And don’t get me started on how she just goes off to a carnival and gets married almost immediately after being kidnapped, held captive, and sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend turned stalker. I—what…?
Honestly, Omegaverse has some of the strangest writing (and plots) I’ve ever seen; half the time, it feels like it’s written by a 13-16 year old.

But lacy was so ANNOYING!! Fickle,immature,reckless and irresponsible. Again,no one seems to edit these books at all--they are filled with redundancy, inconsistencies, and errors. They are rushed,yet drawn out. This is a reverse harem,yet only one chapter has any other POV besides lacy or ryder---and it's literally at 95%. Why even introduce multiple men if only one pov is presented?

Good Romance, Infuriating Plot
I did like the romance between Lacy and Ryder's pack but the OBC or whatever it was called kinda annoyed me. I understand why they left Olivia but I still feel like Lacy and her Pack just ignored the fact Olivia could be suffering to have fun. Lacy said she felt guilty them completely forgot about her cousin when it wasn't convenient for her to be worried. I didn't like Lacy as much as I liked Alana. I hope she gets told off by Olivia.

Improvement
I read one of the books from earlier on in the series and this one was a much better plot, more complexity without any difficulty following along. I also enjoyed the cross over of characters from earlier on. But you dont have to read in order to understand, nor do you get bored of the explanations of who's who. Excellent read definitely recommend!

I enjoyed reading this book. It is well-written, and the story has an excellent flow to it.

Layla does it again!
I love how Layla writes pack books. It's just the right mix of the wattpad stories that all had us falling in love with werewolves but more substance.
We have our bodyguard popstart trope which I always love! The Forbidden nature of it all.

I've read all the books in this series. But this one didn't measure up to the previous books. It's still worth reading. Lacy is strong-willed and will push her future Alphas at every turn.

Lots of tension!
Knotting not withstanding there are many great moments in this story. Some lovely twists and turns with characters developing and changing with plenty of tense situations. All in all a well rounded story, thank you!
Knotting not withstanding there are many great moments in this story. Some lovely twists and turns with characters developing and changing with plenty of tense situations. All in all a well rounded story, thank you!

I liked the pacing of this book much more than Layla’s other books. It also had a very interesting plot. It does have a continuation of sorts with Olivia’s storyline being the basis of the next book

Craved by the pack
This one had a better plot which I liked but it was really fast paced so i didn't get to enjoy it and have fun reading it so i just had a good time and maybe the next and last one gonna keep me out of a reading slump!

Craved by the Pack
Lacy wanted to be a singer and very much accomplished that. Things went sideways when she had a stalker. She hired security for herself. Little did she know what would happen. Very good story!

I enjoyed it.
This series should be read before the Dawn of the Alpha's series.
Four stars because there were areas that I wish were explored more - like the politics and social hierarchy but maybe that's just me being nosy and wanting to know everything.
There's things that happen in the background that are mentioned in passing... how the society is improving and I'd like that to be given more attention.
I highly enjoyed the spice and might want an omega nest lol.
