It’s wonderful to be back In Jane Blythe’s world with Prey Security and the Artemis Team in Lacey’s Fight. Lacey had been kidnapped when she was just a baby. Her blood family had died in a fire and her mother had committed suicide. Lacey’s bubbly, happy, full of smiles personality covers the pain. The Master had kidnapped her and her sisters and trained them to be assassins. Why does he need his own army, no matter how small? We find out in Lacey’s Fight and I have been waiting for The Master to be exposed.

There’s not much that can scare Lacey, but she is not a fan of water. That does not mean she won’t jump in the ocean to save a girl that had been tossed overboard. Isn’t that the meaning of courage? Facing your fears and doing what needs to be done.

That is when she comes face to face with Benjamin “Rabbit” Blanchett. If it wasn’t for him, she would not have survived. Lacey uses sex as a coping mechanism. She is game for one night stands, but no commitments…Until Ben. But, Ben had his own baggage and felt he had nothing to give.

Ben and Lacey are posing as husband and wife, when they go undercover to save some girls being sold off at auction. Lacey believes that The Master may be there and she is determined to take him down.

Jane, Jane, Jane. You sure do put your characters through life altering situations….and I love it! I can’t get enough of it. This quick, engrossing, fast paced thriller had me reading at a frantic pace. Every time I thought I could take a breath, wham, bam, thank you ma’am, something else would happen. I love a book that keeps on giving.

Filled with lots of action. This story grabs you even though there are times it’s hard to read.

Lacey is one of the Prey Artemis Team. She was so upbeat no matter what.

A smile was the ultimate disguise because it was all people saw.

Benjamin “Rabbit” Blanchett is a hard man. He won’t let himself enjoy life.

Together they go on a mission that will change them both. More than not I wanted to punch Ben. These women have made a life for themselves after a horrific childhood.

This one hit me differently. Emotionally charged, a story, though dark in places, of 2 people healing together despite all obstacles thrown at them. It has the usual action, drama, twistiness that I’ve grown to love from Jane Blythe and of course, I could not put it down. A fantastic read!

Jane Blythe has once again delivered an unputdownable story that has you on the edge of your seat while wreaking havoc on your emotions.
Lacey’s Fight is Lacey and Ben's emotional story. Both of these characters have gut-wrenching pasts that have left them both with demons and an internal darkness.
Can they both bring each other in to the light?
Can Lacey trust Ben and be ready for a forever?
Can Ben risk possible loss for a second chance at happiness?
Damn.... Lacey is one strong survivor who you can't help but admire. She has experienced things no one ever should and yet she manages to stand tall and show some fierce strength.
Ben.... OMG this man dragged me through all the emotions. My heart broke for him and then the next minute the frustration kicked in and I wanted to give him a not so friendly shake up! Like.... ahhhh Ben what are you saying??? stop!!!! hehe...
But the man won me over completely and had me rooting hard for these two...
But damn they had some hurdles to jump over before they could reach a HEA.
Their story was fast paced, action packed, suspenseful, heartbreaking and heartwarming.
It took me on an emotional journey about trauma, loss, grief, passion, love, regret, guilt, family, healing and second chances.

I always know I'm going to love and devour a Jane Blythe book and this one was no exception.

Jane Blythe is back with another unforgettable and unputdownable addition to her Prey Security Artemis Team Series ) Lacey’s Fight is Lacey and Bens story and when I say it was a emotional rollercoaster that literally plays on all your emotions I am not kidding . Ben and Lacey have both experienced so much loss and trauma in their lives . Ben from the loss of his wife has closed his heart to the possibility of loving again and Lacey she has her own demons . But of the things I loved about her is her feistiness and her strength) she is determined to help Ben Heal . I really was not prepared for all the different emotions I went through. From being speechless, to yelling outta sheer frustration , to them feeling like my heart was being crushed and then smiling and rooting so freaking hard . Lacey’s Fight is pure perfection, it’s intriguing, suspenseful, heartbreaking and heartfelt, filled with love , passion , loss , healing , second chances, drama , family , friendships, phenomenal world building, characters you cannot stop yourself from falling in love with and so much more . I am not typically someone who reads romantic suspense but Janes books well they always are the exception. Honestly I’ve been obsessed

Wow! What an amazing start to this story, talk about get hooked right in. Once you start it’s hard to stop, too.

Lacey Smith is a survivor, just like her three sisters, but also very different to her sisters in the manner to which she copes with her survival. She’s a naturally bubbly person with a heart if gold.

Ben, aka Rabbit, Blanchett is a Navy SEAL who is suffering such huge grief and guilt that he basically wants to be alone. Meeting Lacey stirs the pot in a positive way, however, Ben doesn’t see it quite like that. 😀

Together these two lead characters have more than a physical connection, they go a bit deeper. Being a ‘fake’ husband and wife team throws them together, where they learn more about each other. Like Ms Blythe’s other books, this one has string characters who have vulnerabilities they need to overcome after past traumas.

The suspense that takes both of these characters into dangerous waters is super exciting. I enjoyed the incredible action and drama where, at times, I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation.

I look forward to reading Opal’s Fight next.

I have to say that this is my favourite book in this series. Lacey and Ben’s journey was full of intense and heartbreaking moments due to their traumatic pasts but these two were just made for each other and and have a strong understanding and their love and support only strengthens that bond. Ben broke my heart with his theories above happiness but and although Ben and Lacey are both jaded when it comes to love together they forge their path. Jane Blythe outdoes herself each and every time she puts pen to paper and this book solidifies that in my eyes. The drama and suspense in this book have you on the edge of your seat biting your nails but with each and every word that you read you find yourself becoming more immersed in the life of all these amazing characters. If you have not read any of Ms Blythe’s books you are missing out on a brilliant author who has a very animated and devious mind and who will capture your heart from the very first word. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Lacey Smith’s coping mechanism to keep pieces of herself ‘The Master’ didn’t get during her formative years of drama and trauma, is to display a bubbly personality to the world and to enjoy sex! Widower. SEAL Benjamin Blanchett misses the safe, predictable love with his wife who was murdered two years ago. This woman, this Lacey, unashamedly wears her sexuality and isn’t shy about letting him know she’s attracted to him. Worse, she’s under his skin and that’s never ever happened!

An opportunity to capture the Master practically falls into team Artemis’ lap and as it happens, Lacey’s the best to send on this mission but she has to pair with Benjamin as his wife. A role he vehemently opposes, Lacey tries to not take it personal and think about the mission. Though Prey would possibly be satisfied with a few other high dollar traffickers that will be around, Lacey wouldn’t. Looking around for the ‘stock’, Benjamin’s surprised at Lacey’s reaction but soon learns the why of it all and takes himself to task for being judgmental.

WOW!! What can I say, I am left with all the feels after reading Lacey's Fight. There is the tragic past's that we learn about. There is the emotion that will leave a lump in your throat. But from the get go, you know that Lacey is a strong fighter. Whether that is with her own internal battles or from the outside.

Ben has a lot to fight through. He also has a tainted past. At first I wanted these two to stay on the opposite side of the world. But as they stay in each others orbit, you knew that they just had to be together.

Lacey's Fight is a story that shows true strength and perseverance. You love the Artemis Team and I cannot wait to get more!!

Lacey's Fight is deeply emotional and at times, heartwrenching. If ever there were two psychologically and emotionally damaged people it's Lacey Smoth and Ben Blanchett. The reason are vastly different but the samage is deeply entrenched nonetheless. Thrown together on an op, posing as a marred couple looming to traffic girls, is going to be challenging for bothof them. Lacey plays her part all to well. Ben needs to get with the program. Here's the rub. He has, for the 0ast three years, shut down his emotions completely and is drowning in guilt. Lacey makes him start to feel things he's worked so hard to avoid. When Lacey's endangered by her past, Ben almost loses his mind. It's time for both of them to take a long hard look at who they are and what they both want in order to move on with their lives both individually and as a couple.

Lacey and Ben / The Master- child sex trafficking

This book is Lacey trying to shut down and capture the Master who a horrific man. The Master was trained by his mother in the sex department. He wants to have an army of highly trained little girls who will go after the people that teased him when he was a kid. Hence the story of meeting Ben a Navy Seal in the beginning is him meeting Lacey after she jumped in to save a sex trafficking young girl. Lacey almost drowns but both are saved by Ben. Ben is angry and wants nothing to do with any woman. Read to see how Lacey with her sex issues and Ben with his grief of his dead wife works to put them on the hunt for The Master and saving more girls from sex trafficking. Good read love the Prey Security series of the women on the Artemis team.

Lacy and Ben’s story really pulled at your heart strings. Both have suffered in their pasts and for different reasons and are broken, but not beyond repair. Ben never wanted or even thought he deserved a life after losing his wife so tragically, but when he saw Lacy risk her life for another, it stirred something in him and he wasn’t going to let her in. Little did he know that Lacy is feisty, strong willed and also fighting demons that keep her feelings and happiness at bay, but will it stop her from trying to break down his walls? The tension and steam between these two is unreal and adds drama, suspense and angst. You are literally on the edge of your seat and jaw to the floor with this one. Another great addition to the series and I can’t wait for Opal’s book next.

I'm really enjoying this series, such strong women and yet so vulnerable. The author shares their flaws and strengths so well. All have such a horrific past and deserve such a happy life.
Lacey always shows a happy side, but it's nothing more than a facade and those close to her can tell.
A mission to relive her past, hopefully she can stop it happening to the innocents of the future. Ben is on this mission with her, is he her saviour or will he drive her away. He has his own demons to overcome.
The mission was not smooth sailing and Lacey remains in danger. So much suspense in this story. Will these characters find their way to heal each other?
I'm loving this series so much and highly recommend it.

'Life wasn't full of wishes...

....it was full of facts...'

Lacey and Ben are fighting different but equally tragic demons, they are demons that consume you if you let them and Ben especially has been punishing himself and allowing the grief to rule his life.
It is heartbreaking watching Ben lash out at Lacey because of his own fears, especially when she is fighting her own demons when she comes face to face with The Master.
I love that we finally find out who The Master is....but that doesn't make it any easier for Prey to find him, which just makes them more determined than ever. The Artemis Team are awesome, selfless and whilst they are a little broken they have formed a family that is stronger than most.
An amazing read on Kindle Unlimited.

Look beyond the surface

Ben/Rabbit and Lacey. Lacey is the friendly positive sister even with all she went through. Now surprisingly that covers her hurt and trauma. Ben is a SEAL who helps save her and another woman she went to save on a mission who also uses his demeanor to cover his trauma. They go on a new mission together to try and get the Master and end up facing their chemistry and old/new hurts. Several times Ben hurts her by being emotionally cruel and Lacey ends up taken by the Master twice and tortured twice in this story. Coach and the Deltas are back and help save Lacey and provide guidance to Ben regarding a potential future with Lacey. The ending is precious and has a slight hint to Opal having some emotional problems in her book!

Wow...Lacey's Fight is another amazing read by Jane Blythe.
Book 3 in the Artemis Series is a very fast paced, suspense filled, emotional read.
Lacey is the flirt of the group, and always seems happy go lucky. She meets Ben when he saves her on a mission, and she asks him out.
Ben's wife was brutally murdered 3 years ago and he feels guilty. He does not want to move on. So when Lacey asks him out he rudely turns her down.
He thinks he's seen the last of her, until they are thrown together on an undercover mission.
Can they work together?
This was definitely one of the favourite books in the series. I just love Jane's books and her amazing characters.
I can't wait for Opal's book!

Lacey’s fight is everything you’re used to from Jane Blythe. It’s angsty, it’s thrilling, it’s romantic and it has the best HEA there is.

What I loved most about this book is how Lacey and Ben heal each other from all their past hurt and push through it together. Ben’s hurting so badly and it just hit you in all the feels. I really loved how Jane showed us his journey and we watch him come out a better man
Lacey is just amazingly Lacey. You cannot do anything but love her and I am super happy to see her happily ever after <3

Its time again to visit our favorite team of bad ass women. Lacey hides her pain with a smile and one night stands that she chooses. Because if you choose you are in control. Benjamin is very much straight and narrow SEAL. These two are paired together to pose as man and wife. This may not be Eagle's best idea. How will these two pull it off cause they need to in order to take down the Master!. Will they take him down and heal each other at the same time?? Or will this plan blow up in their face.Take a ride on the Jane train to find out.......

This book is another one of my favorites. The Artemis team going after the master who trained them. Working with the seals is the highlight of the book as one of the girls finally meets her significant other. When they get asked to go on a mission together it’s not a good thing as the guy still has issues with his dead wife. This mission is a hell of a way for them to get together and it helps both of them heal. The ending was a healing in itself for one of the Artemis team. Looking forward to jane’s next book.

Another gripping instalment from the all-female Artemis team.
Lacey and Ben had both had trauma in their pasts.
There were misunderstanding of each other, as they were both protecting themselves leading to a difficult beginning to their relationship and at time’s I wanted to give him a good shake! But as ever Lacey sorted him out, even as he did the same for her.
As ever we got all the emotions, lots of action and a great HEA. I’m looking forward to more time spent with the Artemis women, and the men they meet on the way!
I was given a free ARC copy and this is my honest review.

So good

Lacey is the flirty one. At least that is what she portrays. She meets Ben after she jumped in the ocean to save a young lady.
Ben doesn't want to feel. He feels he betrayed his wife and she was killed. When Lacey made him feel something, he lashed out at her and hurt her.
Ben and Lacey will be pretending to be a married couple to shut down a trafficking ring. Lacey knows the Master will be there.
When the Master takes Lacey, Ben will work with the Delta team to find her. He needs to find her.
Will Lacey give Ben a chance?

Wow another brilliant read!!
This was about sunshine Lacey and grumpy Benjamin who are forced to go undercover as husband and wife.
I enjoyed their compatibility and how they were with each other. Sassy and subversive at first then explosive and passionate.
The team spirit was very present and the guys were all wonderful.
Well written, funny at times, fiery and vibrant dialogue and a really engaging plot. So good!!

Lacey and Ben’s story was just perfect to me! Both have been broken by their past but still put one foot in front of the other each day even though they both don’t see a silver lining in sight until they bump into each other and it lights a flame in them again but also is something neither really is comfortable with cause there past has molded them in a way where they don’t want anymore shoes to drop

Lacey's Fight

Oh wow! Another FANTASTIC story by Jane! This one is about Lacey and Ben. We see both have major issues about their pasts. This story grabs you right from the beginning. The Master is one sick dude and again we see one of the girls get taken by him. It will give you tears and puts your heart in your throat. I am glad these two overcome their problems and finally get together. FANTASTIC job Jane! I would highly recommend this book! Can't wait for the next book!

A few plot holes

I live in New Zealand, I can't believe that it would ever be a retreat for a sadistic nut job. The community is too small, only 5 million in NZ. It'd be hard to get through customs with an unconscious woman. Also there are next to no guns here, I can't imagine a Delta team would work effectively here. ... anyway, a random pacific island may have been a better more believable location. Other than that, pretty consistent with the other stories in the series.

This book is loaded with suspense, drama, angst and lots of heat. I really like Lacey.she’s very strong but also very wounded. Her childhood was a complete nightmare. Ben is also very wounded but unlike Lacey’s sweet nature, he lashes out. For as bad as he treated Lacey I don’t think he groveled enough. The writing is spectacular. I very much enjoyed my reading of this book.

I enjoy Prey Security stories and family. However, I had two problems with this story:

I did not get (at all) how the h fell in love (or just want a relationship with) the H. He was deliberately cruel to her much more than he was nice or caring.

And, when the H did get some balls to get over himself, why did he think Lacey even wanted a relationship with him?

wow

I didn’t think Jane could get any better than the last book but this one blew me away . Ben and Lacey’s journey is filled with tension, intrigue, danger and growing feelings . Throw in Ghost’s team as they search for Lacey to get her away from ThecMaster was a great surprise. I highly recommend this book to everyone

Lackeys Fight

Well all I can say is Ben is rediclous! He blame his wife's murder because he didn't take out the trash! The story is okay except that the reason for his guilt is stupid.Ben made his wife's death all about himself not her! So very selfish!! He is taking the blame for someone else' actions. Come on writers! You can do better than this!

This was another fantastic addition to this page turning series.
Both main characters deal with the pain of their past in completely different ways.
Can they work through it together or will the ghosts of their pasts come back to haunt them?
If you're up to date with the series this is definitely not the book you want to miss.
