There are two conspiracies in these novels with the first being relatively benign in intention and extremely long range. Specifically a hidden cell in the super-secret CIA’s MK-ULTRA project was designed in the late 1950s and early 1960s to influence events then Director of the CIA Allen Dulles foresaw would confront the USA at the turn of the millennium and in following decades. The occupant of this hidden cell’s code name is “Cat’s Paw” and his real name is Fredrick Lawrence. This was a conservative conspiracy designed to ensure the safety and “eternal” sovereignty of the U.S and shortening the duration of WWIII.
After a most unusual childhood and young adulthood Fredrick encounters another conspiracy that was extremely malicious. In the early and mid-1990s the 30 year old Fredrick was living in Malaysia and via a confluence of corruption in East Asia and the White House his wife and children were sold by former President Klinten to then Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed for the promise of political campaign money needed to secure the ‘96 election. The Prime Minister didn’t particularly like the protagonist as the result of some articles he’d published about Indian atrocities in the war in Kashmir and he was absolutely certain - but wrong - in believing that the American journalist was a CIA officer.
With the assistance of CIA traitor Harold Nicholson and State Department personnel Fredrick was forced to endure extreme physical and psychological tortures and was then thrown out of that country minus his wife - who was passed around to the Prime Minister’s cronies - and two young children. The protagonist returned to the U.S., researched corrupt money in the 1996 election and filed a federal law suit which ultimately landed on the docket of the Supreme Court suing then President Klinten, the CIA and the State Department for their part in the sale of his family helping to motivate that court to give the 2000 election to George W. Bush. This was the completion of Phase One of Allan Dulles’ grand scheme. After nearly being killed serveral times he moves to South Korea and then due to ongoing CIA/DNC operations and corruption in the South Korean government he's forced out of another country whereupon he moves to China where new operations begin. Book I ends after the contrived suicide of one of his friends.
