I really enjoyed this book! Beautiful language and incredibly thought provoking! Dives deep into human nature and explores our imperfections and how it shapes our community and society.

A fascinating story with great characters and an interesting stranger. I enjoyed reading this. The plot was excellent and the srory flowed nicely. Coriander and his people are sick of the attacks by the masked intruders. They have little left and desperately need a solution. When a stranger comes to town, they quickly learn that he has incredible strength and powers. The masked thieves steal their children and with the strangers help he quickly learn of his strange abilities. After they learn he is known as Orion. He has a strange book that only he can read and he is always referring to it anytime there is a question or problem. Since they fear more attacks from their enemy, Orion asks them to follow him with the promise of a better life. Many interesting things happen as they find and settle in their new home. A great story.

An interesting title that ties well into the premise of the novel as you will soon discover. This is the first novel that I have read by Colby Dunn. What a great ride. His writing is excellent! The plot line well defined. His characters are well developed and strong. The story is a combination of an End of the World theme and the strength of an unknown leader. I recommend this novel. You will not be disappointed. I received this book from BookFunnel. This is my true and honest opinion.

I loved this book. The writing was beautiful and the storyline kept me on the edge of my seat. The author did a great job of building a growing sense of foreboding as the story progressed. It was a deep dive into the dark side of human nature that kept my brain engaged as I read, and has stayed on my mind since I finished. Well written, I highly recommend it!
