The Pacific , place of my childhood
The descriptions of sights, sounds, and salty air smells were a delight.
I have lived all of these, and easily transported myself to sandy beaches once again. Who wouldn't want to be neighbors with all these folks? Story itself held my attention throughout the 3 volumes. Thank you!

Terrific!
Fantastic series! Great police procedural in a small town, realistic and enjoyable characters! Each book has a fantastic, unusual plot, and unexpected conclusion. The reader is meant yo read and enjoy each book, not skim yjrough, because the story is very well planned, developed, and written. I have read al 7 enyries, waiting impatiently for the next. I am a long time mystery reader, recognize good books and less than stellar ones. I was upset when I saw the first reader to post on this 3 book offering gave it a " one". This individual is obviously not a mystery reader. I felt I had to post another opinion, lest any potential reader ignore this great series due to one poor ratings. Enjoy!

I'm hooked.
Kay quickly is becoming my favorite author. After receiving one of her later books in this series in a giveaway, and reading the description, I decided to start at the beginning. I am so glad I did! Not only is this my preferred genre, but the story is easy to follow with loveable characters.
Each book in this boxed trilogy had an engaging plot that dives into the process of an investigation while also forwarding the individual character stories. They make a great series but also could each be read as stand alone novels.
I have told all my reader friends about this author and look forward to reading all her books.

Excellent series! I am definitely following this author to read everything she writes! Never a dull moment in these books. Very captivating!
