happy pub day to Candy and her Alphas!
So here's the thing: I WANT to love every single omegaverse story I pick up. It's my favorite genre of romance! There is no joy in my life if not for these OVs.
Unfortunately, this book takes things in a direction that I cannot reconcile with.
PROS:
-Candy is so sex positive, sensual, and vocal about her wants and desires. She's sexy, feels sexy, and isn't afraid to flaunt it. That confidence and positivity is amazing and I would love to emulate just a fraction of her energy.
-The Alphas are that classic growly, possessive, will make the best decision for the overall pack instead of upholding one member over the others.
-Bodyguard Alphas and their scent matched Principal!
-These characters are in a shitty situation and make the best of what cards they've been dealt.
CONS:
-While I understand their circumstances, it took me out of the story and I struggled to root for the main characters. I get it. This adds angst, conflict (external and internal), and what not, but having scent matched people do other people doesn't fly in my head.
-This is a smut heavy book. Lovers of smut, this is for you! However, while some bits of this book are exceptionally hot, I do think they go on for a smidge too long.
-Pacing was also more drawn out than I would've liked.
So overall, this was entertaining but I can't say I wholeheartedly enjoyed it. There's a lot of intrigue crafted surrounding bigbossman and I want to know his deal so bad. Perhaps his story will be touched on in the future!

I love to read omegaverse books and this was no exception. I felt bad for Candy right from the start, who was doing whatever it takes to survive. It was fun to read about this pack, I loved all the guys, Zeus, Odin and Apollo. This forbidden romance was super spicy, with all of my favorite to read about in an omegaverse, heats, knotting, scent matching and nests.

This book is HOT. I mean, the spice is definitely spicing all the way through this book, and I loved every second of it.
I love omegaverse books, and this one was so good, and I loved the little twists we got to the traditional omegaverse stories that are out there.
Candy, Odin, Zeus, and Apollo are the perfect pack. This book is jam-packed, full of action and twists and turns, and will keep you hooked from the very first page.
This is book one in the series, and I can't wait for more.

If you love a good omegaverse story, this is not the book for you!
Many authors tweak how their OV world works, but one thing that is at the core of the entire point of OVs is the biological instincts to protect your pack. Especially in OVs that include scent-matching, that instant connection and knowledge that this is your mate includes an uncontrollable urge to protect.
The ridiculously long bullet point list at the beginning (4% of the entire book) includes “Alpha Instincts” as its second item. Are the instincts in the room with us?
The alphas have no urge to get the FMC out of her horrid situation. They do not fight for her. There is no rage or fighting to protect her.
97% of the story is “oh there’s nothing we can do and we’re all just going to have to suffer through it”. It’s not an enjoyable story. They don’t even get stolen moments or happy bits sprinkled in for the reader to find some type of joy for the VAST majority of the book. Then suddenly the last 3% is just a completely 180 and the thing that was holding them back the entire time is just suddenly not an obstacle. This is unexplained and there is no motivation for the reader to want to find out who this antagonist is or what motivates him or what his backstory is.
Added to that, the MMCs are so one-dimensional it’s not even funny. There’s absolutely nothing that made me feel emotionally connected to the characters. It just felt icky the whole time that these characters were just letting this happen for so long.
I hate dnf-ing books and I paid $3 for the ebook. That’s the only reason I read until this end. Absolutely no part of this story made me interested in reading anything that follows.
A good author would not have to include the bit at the end of the book saying “As the series continues, I will drop hints in other books that lead up to the mission, as well as introduce you to the participants.”
You should make the story interesting enough to keep the reader coming back for more, not a desperate “I promise I’ll actually provide the missing context if you keep paying for more books!”
Also:
“Before that, I would like you to meet some other characters from later books in this series, who will be sent on the mission along with the characters from Bubblegum Pop. There will be eight main characters in total who will be directly involved in the mission, and three side characters, including Geno and Michael. Some of these characters are ex-hosts, some perform other functions within Michael's organisation.”
So cringy. You couldn’t be bothered to come up with a good enough plot or fully flesh out a story, so you want readers to suffer through a whole list of books to come before getting any kind of explanation or closure for the events of the first story?
Absolutely will not be reading any more from this author.

From the very beginning I just wanted better for Candy and man was it a struggle! This OV was different from others I’ve read and was a fast read. The spice was spicy and all 3 MMC were great. Candy was a fighter through and through!

I had a really hard time with this book. I love omegaverses and scented matches. But the spin on this was hard. I don’t mind that Candy is a stripper and escort. But once she meets her scent matches she remains stuck in her contract.
They are forced apart. Which is fine and common. But she still has to continue to sleep with other alphas. Including her heat. And that was just a really hard to deal with. And it lasts for like 65% of the book. And all the while they are her body guards. And are forced to listen and stand outside the door while she works.
Apollo, Odin, and Zeus have been a pack for years. And have a sad and violent history. They have each other to rely on and help through this difficult time. But it’s hard on everyone. And they plan to leave for a short time and satisfy their urges with another omega. The betrayal is all made me feel was just a lot.
Then when they finally do get together and have their HEA. It felt unfinished. Which you find out it sort of is. There will be a book further in the series that completely wraps up their story.

I love an Omegaverse book, it’s slowly becoming a favorite. I haven’t read one like this either, so it was great!

Another great read from abigail Hunter, this time being her debut into the omegaverse! It so happens to be mine too!
Straight off, this was an extremely spicy read so be sure to have the volume down and rsad it somewhere you can read it comfortably!! 😉
Our Omega is Candy who's rare talent is exuding her perfume at will, she which is a strong bubblegum scent. She's living the best she can as a stripper in a low paid area, until a strange but powerful alpha named Michael offers her a new life with better pay and life which she quickly agrees to.
This moves her to Club Heat, in a Universe called Knotting-Hill which we'll be returning to again!
Candy has been waiting years for her scent matched alphas, and just as she begins training, she smells the most delicious scents....
Mango from Apollo this packs alpha,
Lemon vodka from Odin one of the twins who lost an eye in bar brawl after celebrating worlds string alphas and then Passion fruit from the matching twin, zeus. They too, immediately scent her, knowing that she's their mate but also knowing the dilemma they're in.
All three are her scent matches but sadly the contract she just signed kept her tied to club heat for a huge ten years. The guys, being slightly older are out of their contract but abide by Candy's.
The worst moments are her heats where they stand as Bodyguards outside her rooms.
After two years they've all reached the end of their tether.
The alphas make plans to temporarily move to Rio to be able to have their ruts do they don't go feral and don't hurt Candy in the process...

This is a MMFM fantasy story with all kinds of tropes like knotting, sword crossing, strippers, twins, bodyguards, forbidden romance and so much more! I really enjoy reading all of Abigail Hunter books so far! This story is from the Omegaverse, and the stories are a fun, quick read and always end with a happily ever after, yay!
I am exciting to read more stories in this Omegaverse and hopefully we will get to meet the main characters from Bubblegum Pop as side characters.
Candy is a complex main character with all the feelings. She is looking for her mates and it is beyond amazing! But they are not allowed to be together. Oh no! Not a good situation. I love how everything falls together and the way the peoples scents are described sounds amazing!! I will definitely read this again and I look forward to reading more books in this series.

This is candy,odin,zeus and apollos story.
I absolutely loved this book and devoured it in 1 sitting.
My heart ache for odin as zeus and apollo were scent matched and even though he was mated with apollo he still felt left out.
Then they are bodtguards and come across candy who is a dancer and scent match with them,but there was one thing that stopped them from a relationship,no relationship between employees.
I did feel they could of fought for candy a bit more and were just going to leave her there and when she was told by apollo "im doing what its right for my pack"my heart hurt for her as ok,they didnt bite her but they were adament she was theirs.
I hope they might be a follow up with these characters or we see them in future books as even though they got a happy ending,there was some questions left unanswered.
Cant wait to read the next in the series

Candy (omega) went from working at a low end club to a works at a high end Club Heat. Club Heat hires three men (alphas) to be her bodyguards. When introduced it hit all four of them - scent match! Problem is the club has a no fraternizing clause within the club employees. Candy wasn’t going let that stop her from her alphas. Her alphas on the other hand had different plans. I was fun watching Candy trying to get the alphas to change their minds. This story is a super hot burn from the start to the end. Make sure you are sitting in from of an air conditioner on low setting.

Since I’ve started reading, I instantly found a love for the omegaverse side of things. Bubblegum Pop is no different!!!!
Candy started working at the high end luxury Club Heat, in the process of that managers wind up hiring three alphas to be her designated bodyguards.
As soon as the sniffed the air, there was this connection that just snapped in half, and beautifully so might I add. But here entail lies the problem. Club Heat has a strict “don’t mess around with the employees” clause, which complicates things.
Sitting down and reading how not only Candy, but Apollo, Oden, and Zeus navigate the trickiness trials and challenges to find their happily ever after was amazing! Each character was going through and had gone through so much that watching it all come together was amazing!!
The spice was amazing as always, and honestly I cannot wait to read more from the lovely Abigail 💕

Bubblegum Pop (Knottinghill) by Abby Hunter is an omegaverse, reverse harem romance novel. I really enjoy reading omegaverse novels but this one was extra special because it was dark, gritty and different. Life wasn’t easy for the omegas, just because they found their scent match and pack doesn’t mean they automatically are loved and accepted. The alphas have their own struggle as well, it’s not as cut and dry as it seems.
This plot was exciting, dark, and different. I really enjoyed it. The characters were unique, well developed and interesting. On top of all that the world building left room for future books. Great job!

I loved that this was not a typical omegaverse book. It showed a darker side that is rarely explored. I enjoyed it very very much and can’t wait for the second book. It definitely sucks you in and keeps you interested. The spicy scenes are SPICYYY. I really liked the dynamic although I’m still wondering about the drink and how all the scents mix together lol. The more I read Omegaverse's, the more I fall in love with them and this book was absolutely amazing and it just sucks you in from the very beginning that I had a very difficult time putting it down!
This was such an amazing forbidden romance where Candy finds her pack that are her mates but they are also her scent matches!!! So freaking exciting!
When they were all introduced and you could read it all of their POVs made it so much more thrilling! I was giggling and kicking my feet 😂
This was so freaking spicy and delicious, the scenes between all of them was *chef's kiss* 😘🥵
Everything about this book was perfection and I'm excited to read more in this series!

Bubblegum Pop is a reverse harem, why choose, bodyguard, forbidden, omegaverse romance, it is the first book in the Suck It Up Series and is part of the Knottinghill Universe.
Candy, Apollo, Zeus, and Odin are electric together, but alas the barriers in the way of them claiming each other and getting their HEA are massive and deadly.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a unique omegaverse, different from the many others I’ve read, and I loved the change! It has the standards that I love about this genre, like heats, knotting, and scent matches, but it also has so much more! There are trigger warnings with this one, so please heed those.
I would absolutely recommend this book and cannot wait for more.

This was fantastic! One of my favorite books of the YEAR !!! All the chili 🌶️ peppers!!! 🥵🥵🥵🥵If you haven’t read about the omega verse yet this is a sign that you should ASAP!!! This story follows candy our MFC who works at a strip club. Then she meets Michael, who offers her a way out of all her problems and then she meets our men Apollo, Oden and Zeus, and they are swoon immediately when they see her, I can’t give spoilers but just know you need to read this. It’s so good.

Did I read this book in one setting? Absolutely, was this book spicy hell yes. Bubblegum Pop was one of my top reads this month, it was very spicy and I cried a little bit. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves more than one MFC and they all love each other, and a fast read but also an amazing read.

I love Candy! This book follows her on a journey and the struggle to make it to her fated mates. It's definitely a fun read. 3.5 stars from me.

I love a good Omegaverse book and this one didn’t disappoint. Candy and her men meet in the most unexpected place but just because they are scent matched doesn’t mean everything will be plain sailing. I loved the plot of this book it had lots of action to keep you interested in the story and plenty of sexy time because who doesn’t love that! I really enjoyed the characters and Candy is a great FMC as despite being an omega she is fiesty, sassy & strong. I loved this book and can’t wait for more set in the same world.

Being my first omega verse novel, I figured it would either be my jam or not. Candy and her mates story definitely sold me on the idea. The power of an everlasting connection.
This is that teaches the reader what’s its like be placed in a role without any other choice, to be careful with what you sign and be sure not to break the rules. Having to see the ones you love and knowing you can’t be with them is already painful on it’s own on. What candy and her pack are forced to endure, is heartbreaking.
The spice scenes were well cultivated , sensual, plentiful of lust and felt that the author ensure each participant was highlighted, having their moments. At one point I had to put down my e Reader because this particular scene had me going Damm that’s 🔥*fans self *
One of things I enjoyed is the villain, I rarely see a villain written with such intrigue and fear that has been promised to hold up throughout the series. I truely want to see more of this character.

Very, very fun
4.5 rounded up. This was incredibly fun and a really, really positive example of what people can do in the omegaverse genre if they put their mind to it. Read the blurb and the triggers, because most of what people don’t like about it is in those (something you should be doing for every book you read, lol). The characters felt exceptionally real, the emotions were well-thought-out, and it felt like the characters’ backstories were difficult without it feeling like they had gone through every awful thing under the sun, a la classic Wattpad, which shows up in a lot of bad omegaverse. There are a number of well-thought-out ideas surrounding what a world with an omegaverse setup would look like, another element that tends to be overlooked in less well-done omegaverse. We also love WC/RH, especially when there are same-gender pairings within it, and this one was done quite well. Definitely a top-level omegaverse piece that we would recommend as one of our “primer on omegaverse” reads.
There’s a bit of angst in this one, but it is in no way a heartbreak story. Things turn out quite HFN for our main characters, and that knowledge makes the gears function quite well. Plus, the main characters are banging it out every 3-5 business pages, and that’s probably enough to keep you reading, if nothing else.
Our only real uncertainty is that the way the third act antagonist is described reads as a bit disconcerting when you yourself are fat; we would have preferred an incredibly conventionally attractive man as the antagonist, as it would have also made significantly more sense for the story.

This is only the second Omegaverse I have read but it was absolutely incredible. Everything from the plot to the twists in the book had me obsessed. And let's not forget about the SPICE because OMG! Abigail Hunter always knocks it out of the park

Bubblegum Pop by Abigail Hunter is the first in the Suck It Up Omegaverse Series. We meet Candy, an Omega, working as a dancer at a s#x club. Candy eventually meets the Deus Pack, her scent match Alphas. Great start to the series. I liked watching Candy, Odin, Apollo, and Zeus figure out how to make it work. Looking forward to what the mystery is at the end!

This was the first book I’ve read by Abby and I absolutely loved it! I’ll definitely be binging more of her books!
As we all know I love a good polyamorous Omegaverse book, in fact I binge them to death! And Bubblegum Pop was no different I absolutely ate it up! I loved Candy she was sassy and confident and knew what she wanted and she got it!
I think I prefer a polyamorous book to an RH because I love following the relationships between all the characters not just the female and her men. I loved that we got to see the relationship between Zuse and Apollo and how strong and beautiful it is and it was so nice to watch Odin overcome his struggles and accept his relationship with Apollo as well!
I am a big lover of bodyguard romances, forbidden romances this book checked all my boxes and the plot had me on the edge of my seat while I fanned myself cause of the heat! I thoroughly enjoyed every page and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series to find out more!
