For the past 7 years, Skinwalker Hunter - Ryan Skinner, has investigated bizarre events at Skinwalker Ranch. What Bigelow and his NIDs research team encountered after 2005 has not been shared with the public, until now. This book picks up with Ryan Skinner chronicling his up-to-date experiences at the Ranch as highlighted by his visual narration, alluring photos and videos of shocking events that actually happened. On numerous occasions he was threatened by balls of light which have given chase, mysterious voices speaking in the desert air, glowing objects were seen, shadow people stalked him (and others), portals opened, alien creatures emerged, and all this in vivid detail. The book culminates with Ryan meeting a shape shifting entity known as a "Skinwalker". PATH OF THE SKINWALKER opens a gateway into the realities of an alternate universe; one which is beyond comprehension, beyond time and space, a place strictly off-limits to the public, a place known as Skinwalker Ranch.
Ryan Skinner has been featured on several nationally recognized television programs. In 2012 he was featured as a “Skinwalker Ranch Expert” on the Jesse Ventura’s Conspiracy Theory which aired December 3rd on TrueTv. In 2013 he helped produce and was also the featured “Skinwalker Guide” for the Joe Rogan Questions Everything show which was televised August 21st, on the SyFy Channel. He has also headlined various radio shows, and podcasts. As a producer, entertainer, and now author; Ryan Skinner hopes to continue his search for answers for many years to come, and invites you to watch him on his paranormal journeys.
I read "Hunt for the Skinwalker" by Kelleher and Knapp a few years ago and found it fascinating, so of course, I wanted to read this book. It did not go into nearly as much detail as the former book, but the author had some valuable insights into his own experiences. However, I suppose what bothered me the most was the incorrect grammar and misspellings throughout (especially) the first part of the book. That, and my opinion that a lot of the book did not really pertain to the subject matter. I do hope that this young author continues his research and has further contributions to this subject because it is a fascinating story.
And, chapter 20: failure to apply implication to self: what could be right behind *you*, even as you judge the guard for being unaware of what is behind him?
It was really interesting to listen to, Ryan's experience with the paranormal must have been an absolutely terrifying experience. I felt as though there wasn't much paranormal action, just a lot of hanging around, waiting for it, but I suppose that is the reality of 'hunting for aliens'. It's definitely worth listening to if you are interested in the idea of alien encounters and UFOs, since it would be a nice simple introduction to it. I will definitely take a look at Ryan Skinner's other books in the future. 3 out of 5 stars!
I found this book to be very intriguing and scary. I don't know if this guy is brave or stupid as I find my self being afraid for him and surprised at the end result. After reading this book i'm kind of afraid to drive on long lonely roads where your vehicle is the only light in that area. l would recommend this book to those of you who feel there is more going on,on this planet than what is being told.
does nothing to enchance the author's inept story telling skills. While the subject is interesting enough, his story seems half-time and his writing definitely leaves something to be desired, not to mention a real ending to this story. It seems that at the ending he just couldn't come up with a real story so he went with a campfire story ending.
This book is awesome. Yeah there are a few typos but if that's a problem for you, your not good enough for Ryan's personal experiences. He was not an author before and he did great describing events and....things (creatures), as well as feelings in the moment. Wish he would come my way.....sure is a hottie and we share common interests! Yum
The tale is...interesting. The writing style is hard to get through. I highlighted or sighed at many unnecessary metaphors or long written out symbolic language. Also, the book barely mentions Sk*nwalkers, and the one chapter that does...well he definitely did not describe one. Or, meet one.
This book has many problems, but still, it was interesting to read about this guy's experiences with the strange things going on at Skinwalker Ranch. However, there didn't seem to be anything skinwalker related. Just alien stuff really. What's up with that?
The book starts off covering just what led the author to be interested in the ranch. One of the things involved a light following his car as he drove down the road with several aliens appearing near the car.
His camera battery fails and this is something we have seen numerous times on Skinwalker Ranch television show which electrical equipment fails for no understandable reason.
Here's where there is something in the book that I don't care for. The author was married at the time and left his wife in order to further pursue his interest in the ranch.
Anyhow, he camped next to the ranch where strange things happened and at least one of the things was of a hostile nature. Some of whatever was going on at the ranch also seemed to follow him to his home (his wife having moved out.)
There are also voices, orbs, and an actual skinwalker.
It's an interesting book but it depends on what a person says and seems to lack solid evidence unlike the television show about the ranch which uses scientific equipment being used and filmed at the same time.
The second season of "Secrets of Skinwalker Ranch" has started on the History Channel. I don't know why this kind of thing fascinates me but it does. The author appeared on one of the first of this season's episodes and related some of the strange phenomena he encountered while researching the Utah ranch. This book is the first of 5 he has written about his experiences. Although the book will probably never be considered a literary masterpiece, the happenings described by the author had me speeding through the pages. If only half of the things he describes are true, Skinwalker Ranch is truly a strange and scary place.
This is a truly awful book. Aside from the numerous grammatical errors and typos, the writer litters the book with excruciating similes that add nothing to the narrative and, often, simply make no sense. If he had concentrated on merely describing his experiences, this would have been a better read.
Unfortunately, it would also probably have been no more than around 20 pages long, as not much of any real note happens anyway. And what does happen is related in such breathless, melodramatic tones as to render it almost impossible to believe.
If you are interested in finding out about the strange events in and around Skinwalker, do not read this book. You won't learn anything.
I gave it 3 stars because while I very much enjoyed all his books and for the most part they all had me wanting to turn the page faster then I could read- they were all missing something. There’s one book the chronicles his experiences at and near the ranch with his brother and then he just ends it on a cliff hanger and when you pick up the next boom hoping to find out more…. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. The further you read into the “series” the more its just a repeat of the previous books. They were good and had me on the edge of my seat but I wanted more.
I bought all seven of his books as a bundle. I got the impression that the author was a part of the Bigelow team from the initial intro to him but only partway in I find out that he was basically a lone wolf! Just started the 2013 "Path of the Skinwalker". I am afraid that all these books will be mostly a big repeat of previous ones. I will do a complete review once finished. I'm looking forward to Season Four of the History Channel series and really hope that things should be coming to an end soon.
The importance of a great editor can not be overstated.
Gibberish rambling combined with total BS and made up nonsense completely tears away anything of interest or value the story might have to convey.
A good editor could cut this male in half, throw out the self psychological analysis and acid flashbacks and the wife parts that have Nothing to do with Anything and there Might be a story
Right now it's as interesting and cohesive as asking a druggie that's tripping to explain what a rainbow is. Babble.
This story was interesting. At first it seemed a little weak, but rapidly improved. It was entertaining if it was a fantasy, and enlightening if the facts were true as presented. There are many things that we are just beginning to understand. Hopefully, some answers will come from our government. Anyway, it was an interesting read, and I couldn't put it down until it was finished.
(The edition I read isn't on Goodreads, but this one is the closest.)
While a compelling story, this book is peppered with misspellings and is very awkwardly formatted. Chapter 17 starts halfway through a page instead of the established format of each chapter starting on the next full page.
Also, as I said, a compelling story, but there's no resolution. What happened to Tyson? Was he alright when Ryan came back? I NEED ANSWERS.
The demon grew like an engorged flea feeding from the anxiety that troubled my brow. As it stomped towards my bedroom, it carried with it like a syphilitic parasite the initial stages of possession. Direct quote from the book and many more for your edification! Brother may have a vocabulary of three words because this author took them all.
The author is a misogynist pig who spends the first few pages describing how he hates women in the states and went to Ukraine to find his wife, who was "skinny" and gave off an air of "innocence" and traditional "family values." I just couldn't read a book narrated by this dope. I gave up after the introduction.
This could be just a short story or the truth. I don’t have any experiences to compare it to. But it’s a good story whether true or not. The author is good story teller and should keep writing. I would love to see a ghost or a UAP in the sky. I don’t know if I’m ready for alien yet.
I usually have trouble with reading accounts with terrible grammar, but this was overwhelmingly the opposite. Every sentence was so jammed with trite expressions. I finally just started skimming. Story was unbelievable and boring.
The author describes several trips in dealing with the unknown. Most of his experiences seem to have "ordinary" explanations, although the encounter at the end is one I'd exclude.
This is a short book, just over 100 pages, and was a quick read.
Our western society and values leave us completely vulnerable to the neighboring dimensions. Whenever you trespass into areas that have weak barriers, you MUST be spiritually protected. Excellent account of paranormal obsession and victimization.
