“You made a list of reasons why you don’t want to have sex with me?”
Ava Blum may be a sparkly, extroverted movie-star known for her extraordinary beauty, but the truth is much less glamorous. She’s a divorced, single mother with PTSD, low self-esteem, and a non-existent love life. Unable to shake the lasting effects of abuse, she grieves her fortieth birthday alone in a remote mountain cabin.
Killian Kelly is a man of few words. Abandoned before he was three, he barely survived childhood. Thirty years later, he’s a bookish, outdoorsy engineer, who’s found peace in his well-ordered, solitary life working in national forests.
When a mudslide buries Ava alive, Killian rescues her and guides her down the mountain. Surviving the wilderness together leads to an unexpected, inescapable bond. But they’re opposites with incompatible lives, and so they agree to go their separate ways. Instead, they fall into a reckless, passionate affair.
Ava’s convinced she’s not good enough for love, and Killian doesn’t know what love is. When they can’t walk away, they have to decide whether anything right can come from all the ways they’re wrong.

All the Ways We’re Wrong is a steamy contemporary romance containing descriptive love scenes and adult language
Amelia Elliot works as a trial lawyer, entrepreneur, and author. She publishes on topics of law, business, and politics. “Amelia Elliot” is the pen name for the author’s works in women’s fiction, romance, sci-fi, and political and legal thrillers. She lives with her husband, three big dogs, and three riotous kittens.
Amelia is disabled with chronic illness. One of her favorite things about writing novels is exploring her characters’ human flaws, growth, and triumph over adversity. She writes happy endings because optimism matters.
This is a great read! We get action, laughs, spice, and a lot of growth in our characters. Previously, we knew Ava to be Jack's ex-wife, the woman who divorced him out of the blue. There were hints that she was deeper than she seemed, so I was eager to read her book and understand her story. And what a story it was!
We learn about Ava's history and how it shaped her into the woman she is now. Ava puts on a good front, but deep down she's dealing with a lot of trauma. She meets Killian when he saves her from a mudslide, and the two have a great forced proximity adventure while they make it to safety. And turns out he's got his own inner demons. But after they make it off the mountain, then what? So many books have the HEA at that point, but this one takes a more realistic approach. How do you keep things going once you're back in the real world and you have totally opposite lives?
This book is connected to the other books, but stand alone, so if you haven't read the other two, you'll be fine (but you should). It's beautifully written and will have you laughing, crying, groaning, (moaning), and cheering!
All The Ways We’re Wrong was really well-done. I thought it would be a bit fluffy and was fully expecting a quick affair-to-HEA after Ava and Killian made it down the mountain, but the author decided to toy with me and my feelings a bit longer 😂 Ava and Killian had so much depth. To paraphrase the great words of Donkey, Ava was like an onion. Each time a layer was pulled back, she became more complex and relatable. Killian wears his trauma on his sleeve, and it’s so sad. The growth between them is superb. It’s angsty and dramatic, but also sweet and beautiful. Very nicely done.
I received a copy of All The Reasons We’re Wrong from BookSirens. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really enjoyed all three in this series. I was hoping there was another. I like the way it ties all the characters together. I loved the adventure of the rescue chapters. Ava and Killian truly complete each other. Only thing I disliked was that there was not another chapter or another sequel. Love Amelia’s writing. Can’t wait to read more.

I loved how Killian and Ava, with their childhood traumas, related to each other and just understood each other. I love that they were people who seem real, and like they would easily be in my close friends group.
3.75 stars This story starts funny, despite the circumstances. Eva has no filter and Killian is so stoic. Their interactions while traversing down the mountain are filled with chuckling moments. As the book goes into both their past, things get serious and a little sad. We watch Killian come out of his armor, somewhat what and Eva becomes a bit stronger and more of herself. I think the story dragged a little too long, and my interest started to wane. The author does give a complete ending, dotting the i and crossing the t's. I also started liking Eva less after they made it out of the woods. She started showing her selfish side. Despite Killian's discomfort, she always wanted her way. Even in the extended bonus, she had to announce the engagement and plan a big wedding. This put them in the spotlight again. Killian, of course, let her have her way even though she knew he hated it.
I have loved all three books in this series. I had reservations about this one because I wasn't fond of Ava in the second book and could not imagine tolerating her for an entire book. Not only did she redeem herself but I think this is my favorite of the three! Killian is my kinda guy! Highly recommend all three books, you won't be disappointed!
Romance with a decent plot. So this writer likes to create characters with a bit of grit. The FMC is a strong woman who has experienced quite a lot of highs - but has experienced a few lows that have left indelible scars on her psyche and complex difficulties in trusting others; the MMC is a loner, who has his own complex back story. The narrative explores the building of a relationship through a survival experience and also highlights how people hide behind public personas. I didn't think she could do better that the previous story. I was wrong! RECOMMENDED reading
This was a sweet book and I really liked it! Didn't love that the H's nickname was Kill, but whatevs. I did love that they communicated and were able to make their love work! Sweet story. The epilogue has Killian deciding to not contact any family, which made me a bit sad, but that's his decision. He has lots of family now. And a dog! Two dog! Win win.
i really liked this third installment as it had a little bit of everything. i like the emotions built upon reading this book. i liked that there was some action amidst the love story. it was a treat to read and get to know the characters of the story
mending Ava and Killian´s story is full of heart breaking moments and surprises, it made me want to cry, it made me smile. Thank you Amelia for provinding many wonderful hours of reading.
