He doesn’t know I’m pregnant. Only his enemies do. And they will do everything to take my baby away from me.
You think it can’t get worse? It can.
Because as I sit here with my growing belly, tied to a chair, waiting for the bullet to end my life, I only have one chance to survive.
Anton Ulianov. The man who became my boss and made me pregnant. The man who thinks I’ve abandoned him. The man who hates me.
Because of all the people in this messed up world, He’s the only one I can trust. But will he trust me when I tell him the truth? Will I even make it that long?
And as seconds go by and time runs out, I’m faced with a choice.
Put my own and my baby's life in Anton’s calloused hands. Or die. I’m not sure which one is better.

Book 2 picks up with all the action, drama, twists and turns that left us wondering what’s next at the end of book 1! Scarlett is now in the enemies hands and she’s having Anton’s baby. She is know more in trouble then before. Their enemies are everywhere and she’s not going to lose this baby but she has no idea if Anton will be able to save her!
Anton is losing his mind and he has to get to Scarlett before it’s too late. He will not let history repeat itself and he will find her and bring her home.
Their journey is crazy intense and the plot twists are insane but so worth it! Their story is sexy, sinful, and sweet because these two were meant to be together and getting to their HEA is quite the trip but worth every edge of seat moments! Happy Reading!!
The second book starts where the first book leaves off. Let me tell you it is a wind whirl of action, drama and suspense. We see Scarlett and Anton going through so much. I absolutely love Scarlett and Anton. They have chemistry that is felt throughout the story. The past us catching up with them. We feel the drama that they are experiencing throughout the story. I loved the support characters like Carl. They add that little extra to the story. This was a quick read but it is extremely well written and engaging. It pulled me in and didn’t let go. I absolutely loved it and it is definitely a must read.
More illogical happenings and conversations. Author does not translate Russian words so lose thread of story telling. Scarlett suppose to be professional cat burglar but leaves her tools with S initial at scene of crime. When kidnapped she sings like a canary about stealing diamond yet she never divulged information to Anton. Captors allow her to keep phone. Calls Carl from burner but he answers by saying her name. Scarlett is in mountains, doesn't know where she is but gates back to Anton's heavily guarded mansion. How?? 29% of book two Anton and Scarlett having sex instead of hunting for Niko the kidnapped son. Started skimming. 52% and Scarlett is an acrobat during shooting skirmish. Niko has picked lock on handcuffs and is climbing rocks to save himself so Scarlett running on adrenaline drags an injured Anton upright. Unbelievable !!. DNF I have had enough.
I suspect some readers will enjoy this book completing the duet more than the first. Maybe, even most of them will enjoy it. Unfortunately for me, I’m not among them. The previous books ends on a hell of a cliffhanger and we pick up exactly there. From this point, the characters bounce from one action packed scene/rescue to the next. Seriously, there are like 4 of them or something.
I understand that is dynamic writing and moving us forward but I loathe action scenes and this was mostly all action scenes. I didn’t enjoy the H/h interactions that much in this one either.
It’s safe. No cheating or OW drama. A bit of unwanted OM drama near the end when h is kidnapped. Fast burn but there’s more action than spice. This installment is busy!

This was such a great series and so refreshing. I have been on a dry spell starting and stopping too many books. I use to read an entire book even when I didn't like or connect with the characters but don't any longer. If I haven't connected with a story or characters at some realistic point, I move on. I have gotten tired of investing my reading time into stories or books that I don't enjoy, or connect with. I've gotten better at determining whether I will like a story even if it has good ratings and is written by a well know author or an unknown, but doesn't resonate with me in the description.
The action and suspense for both characters took a big twist in book 2. I love how this story brought together Scarlett's crew who helped Anton's men get Mikhail back from Volkov. I loved how these two groups of people came together because of their devotion to both Scarlett and to Anton to not only save Mikhail, but save Scarlett from Cartwright when she is kidnapped. It was a great twist to a genre that can be repetitious. I love stories in this genre that are unique and different but still have the criminal component.
Anton's and Scarlett's attraction started in book one and just kept building. There is plenty of sex scenes due to their phenomenal attraction to one another, but becomes special when they both pass that preverbal point in the story when they know it is much more than just sex. I love their banter and I love that Scarlett is not a push-over MFC. She's smart as a whip and is a well trained thief who loves her make-shift family or "crew" as a family.
This was a story with solid secondary characters as well as two main characters that I absolutely loved from start to finish. Enjoy!
Sergei Volkov and his men attack Anton’s compound. Anton manages to hide Nikolai for now. Anton is beaten and tied to a chair in his study.
Unfortunately Volkov gets Scarlett and Nikolai. Scarlett escapes with the help of her crew but they need to get the diamond from Anton’s house. Scarlett has no idea if Anton is alive. She also has no idea that Volkov found Nikolai. Anton thinks Scarlett is dead or abandoned him. Luka digs around and finds out who Scarlett Jones really is and about the stolen diamond.
Will Scarlett get the diamond so she can sell it? Will Anton get Nikolai home safely? Will they ever truly trust each other?
I loved this series very much. The angst, the steam and the action is the perfect blend with each other. Anton was so sweet and manly in this one. I love hot single father with a huge heart! Also I love when authors create very good side characters. Lisa has done absolutely perfect. I would love to read more of Anton’s brother-in-arms Luca and Scarlett’s team member Carl.
Anton and Scarletts dynamics and compatibility was very very good. This is one of my fav mafia romances of 2023. Thank you Lisa for having me in your Arc team! This is my very honest review. I can answer your questions about the book if you want!
Much darker than the first; numerous technical errors
TRIGGER WARNINGS: Sexual assault implied; descriptions of torture.
The novel was decent with a nice HEA for the two main characters and retribution for the villains. While I thought the author had a good narrative style, it was marred in this novel by numerous technical errors, including incorrect tense mistakes.
I also thought this novel was much darker than the first (see "trigger warnings"). Although I enjoy the mafia romance genre, and I have to praise the author for skillfully ratcheting up the suspense here, it was sometimes a little too much for me!
"Crimson Wrath" is a Russian dark mafia romance and it is the second book in the Ulianov Bratva series. The second book picks up where the first left off. The plot excels in keeping readers engaged as well as the intriguing dynamics between the main character and their allies and enemies.
"Crimson Wrath" is a compelling page-turner that serves up relentless action, well-crafted characters, and a gripping narrative. The spice is good, and the HEA is super sweet.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5 Stars!! Scarlett has a secret, actually several that Anton doesn't know. He has a few secrets of his own and his pakhan has found where he is living and has put his son and Scarlett in danger. He will have to find a way to save them both as well as himself. When they think the danger is over, it is actually just starting. Will Scarlett's secret be their downfall? This is a good read with lots of twists and turns. Keeps you reading to the last page.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
I enjoyed the first book in this duology, but I absolutely loved this one. It started right where the first one ended, but everything seemed to be more in this one. More danger, more suspense, more darkness - just more. You have to read Crimson Fury before reading this one, and I recommend reading them back to back, but you really don't want to miss this one. It's fantastic and I didn't want to put it down.
This book has a little something for everyone who enjoys dark romances, I think. There’s strangers-to-lovers, then a touch of enemies-to-lovers, wrapping it all up with a HEA. Tons of spice but book 1 has more. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading more from Lisa Lovell.
Book 2 was just as exciting and suspenseful as book 1 but with an amazing ending. great storyline. so good couldn't put the book down. Sorry it ended the characters were so great. strong leading male and female characters. Wonderfully done by the writer.
The book brings a wonderful closure to a fantastic story 😃. Tons of action, intense situations, really nasty bad guys and the great characters we've come to Love 😍. Thanks again Lisa, I truly Loved reading this series and look forward to reading more written by you 🤓.
I loved how to individuals from two sides of the world came together to take the the people who hurt each of them. Bringing their teams together was a force to ending evil. While at the same time bridging the love they shared but fought until it was announced that a unborn baby was involved. Love does conquer all .
Anton and Scarlett are on a desperate mission to save Niko who has been captured by the bratva Volkov Its touch and go in the fighting that ensues several of Anton’s men have been killed or wounded. Finally Niko is saved and Volkov is no longer. Then there is Scarlett’s predictor Cartwright. Anton saves her and they send him to jail Enjoy the ending of this awesome book
I must say that I really liked Anton and Scarlett's story. It was full of steam and action. It was really entertaining. I liked the ending of this series, it was really well done. I received a complimentary copy of this story and I freely left this review.
Super quick read with lots of steam and action! I loved the build up and the ending. Everything looped up together. The story could have gone into more detail with the other characters but it would have also dragged out so this was the perfect end to the story!
Scarlett and Anton had secrets from each other that really needed to come out. Protecting Nico was hard with the secrets. Scarlett did her best to protect him from Anton’s enemies. Anton in turn had to save Scarlett from hers.
This was a fantastic sequel to the first book in this series. I loved how the story took on more of a life and culminated in such excitement. It was great to. Follow all the characters.
This book had great, plot and characters, good action and wicked cruel men. A great page turner, I read both books in a couple of days. It had great one liners that had me 😂.
no. this story could’ve just been one big book there was no reason to split it up. tbh i skimmed a lot cause so maybe that’s why i didn’t know what was happening half the time but i don’t think that parts just on me.
Cute ending to the 2 books. Predictable but that’s fully expected with this genre. I love single dad trope when the woman becomes a mother to the dad’s kid. Like Niko calling her mama at the end def pulled at my heart strings. Overall fine book.

At least this book only has 2 books for a complete book. The lovers now have to fight their way together through trust and bad guys to find his son, then her. Hes not as demanding / hard in this book, hes soft. Its not a bad read, but the first book was definilty more.
This book picks up where book 1 left off. There’s action, steamy scenes, and a few twists and turns. This book is also told in dual POV but it has the future epilogue. I did enjoy the ending. I would recommend
Anton and Scarlett's tumultuous, action-packed story continues with violence, dangerous secrets, angry passion, revenge and a shared mission caused by carelessness and non-communication. Enemies to the left and the enemies to the right, and a HEA.
This couple! What more can I say? So much action and danger for one couple to endure, and they weather each storm that blows into them. Lisa Lovell is a new favorite author in much life. Thank you for writing this story.
