This long out of print work covers Milton Erickson's approach to Time Distortion.Time Distortion is considered an "advanced hypnotic" technique but that's only to those who have not studied Erickson.The book, originally published in 1954, was aimed at physicians, dentists, and psychiatrists. This was to counter to negative impression of hypnosis.But today, this book is available to anyone. This book is a classic of hypnosis and is the basis of many of the NLP techniques taught today by Bandler and Grinder.Erickson taught a naturalistic view of hypnosis and in Time Distortion, he shows how to apply it here as well.

Milton Hyland Erickson (5 December 1901 – 25 March 1980) was an American psychiatrist specializing in medical hypnosis and family therapy. He was founding president of the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis and a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Psychopathological Association. He is noted for his approach to the unconscious mind as creative and solution-generating. He is also noted for influencing brief therapy, strategic family therapy, family systems therapy, solution focused brief therapy, and neuro-linguistic programming.
