Like all true romantics, Tiffany had always been fascinated by the great love stories of the past. The only child of two historians, she had always felt a pull towards British History and the epics that it spawned. But, instead of following in her parent’s footsteps, Tiffany chose to express her love of history in her own way: by writing about her favorite era.
After obtaining a degree in English Literature, Tiffany decided to write her first book and never looked back. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys spending time with her own Prince Charming, and their two beautiful children, enjoying Massachusetts’ natural wonders.
Hop on for a unique journey in Regency England, filled with intensity and heartwarming romance. Let Tiffany’s words bring the enchanting heroes of an era long gone back to life and charm their way into your heart!

SWEET CLEAN ROMANCE!!

Lady Deborah Cluett is standing guard at the gardens maze for her brother Lord Peter Cluett. Peter is proposing marriage to Lady Emma, sister to the Henry the Duke of Hopestyn. When the Duke comes upon Deborah deep in the gardens, he asks her had she seen Lady Emma. To keep Henry from entering the maze Deborah kisses him. Henry is a proper gentleman and is surprised at Deborahs boldness. He believes in propriety and proper behavior.

They meet again when they are invited to Hopestyn Estates to celebrate the marriage betrothal for Peter and Emma.

This begins the back and forth dance between Deborah and Henry.

The storyline was Okay, it felt a little modern. Deborah for a 19 year old was a bit sassy and very bossy and very independent for a young lady of this era. Deborah reminds me in some way of myself!! I didn't like that the Cluett family titles weren't made clear. I think Peter was and Earl but his title was never mentioned in the story. He came across a bit improvised! His grandmother was referred to as Tabitha the Dowager Countess. Thats the only clue you get as to their titles.

The ending of the story is Emma and Peters wedding. Unfortunately, Deborah and Henry's wedding was pending. This made no sense to me. Who was the story really about Deborah and Henry or Emma and Peter? All In All it was an Okay Read!!

A Regency version of Pride and Prejudice

In the sad times of our current reality, I especially appreciate the humorous plot twists and witty banter of this engaging story. Smiles and chuckles enhance the plot as authentic characters develop. At first, Henry appears to be the self-absorbed, arrogant type of Duke he has been raised to be. At a very young age, he had to assume duties which he seriously felt were his obligations. To chaperone his young sister is now his priority. On the other hand, Lady Deborah is cooperating with her older brother to prevent the Duke from interrupting private time between her brother,Peter, and Emma. Her method becomes life-changing ! For many years, Deborah has put her writing above accepting a submissive role to a husband. Opinionated and brutally honest, she has an assertive, self-sufficient attitude. However, her devotion to Peter enables her to grow in appreciation for true love. Her younger brother, Nicholas, proves to be a wise and witty confidence as she struggles with her attraction to the Duke. Also, Emma fits into a close relationship with her. To complicate matters, the Duke’s mother has presented a young woman whom she thinks will make a perfect wife for the Duke. This is a very endearing story I thoroughly enjoyed.

Two Opposites Create Sparks

I enjoyed this book. It was quite well written, apart from some American expressions. I really liked the interaction between the brothers and sisters in both families involved. It was good to see how each of the brothers protected their sisters and allow them the freedom to make their choices. I liked the way the relationship developed between Henry and Deborah, two opposites whose constant arguments create sparks leading to romance.

easy read

Deborah and Henry accidentally meet under unusual circumstances, not even aware of who each other really were. Then upon coming to know they constantly argue as their dislike from their first meeting continues. Situations and circumstances occur that make them both realize they are meant to have a hea with each others.

A wonderful Regency romance

Those that love Regency love books about stuffy Dukes and vibrant strong ladies. This book is a wonderful and clean book about Duke Henry and Lady Deborah. It also has a romance between her brother and the Duke's sister. I really enjoyed the story and recommend reading it.

Different author?

Although the story line was classic Tiffany Baton, there were many clues that at least some of the writing was not from her pen! Phrasing, grammatical and syntactical errors, and other difference gave me questions. I highlighted and noted many of these in my copy which I’ll share if requested.

She Just Kissed Me!

I love the rambunctious Deborah's firey personality. Her love of life is contagious and even a very proper duke cannot deflect her passion for life, from affecting his own search for meaning. This book offsets spirited banter, deep longing looks, and a few stolen kisses, that lead to a happily ever after for all.

great story

Truly enjoyed this story where Dorothy and Henry have good banter. Loved the idea that they have to interact because of their family and it forces them to get to know each other and changed their initial impression of each other.

If this was the first book I read by this author, I might've given it a 5 instead of a 4. While it was sweet, and cute, and I loved the progression of the FMC throughout the book, it wasn't as good as some of her other books.
