Melody Unbound

As a high-ranking omega, I’m expected to command warriors in a quest.

Not just any warriors but my overprotective, overbearing adopted brothers.

Only nothing goes to plan. In trying to hide my feelings, I deceived and manipulated them.

Now my four warriors are going to punish me. Worse, they want me to accept this fate, for it to be my choice.

I can stay, but if I do, not only must I suffer the consequences of my deceit… I must also submit.

“Anything,” I agree willingly, my eyes resting on each of them. “Anything you desire.”

I want to consume her and her pleasure.
I feast and feast. She comes over and over again, and I can’t get enough.

Melody Unbound
is another outstandingly spicy Coveted Prey novel from LV Lane! It is a quick read with some angst (mutual pining all around) and high amounts of delicious affection from four protective and obsessive Alpha Warriors who only want to please and claim their Fairy Omega.

It is slightly taboo – the alphas are the FMC’s adopted brothers who have transitioned from protective older siblings to hot-blooded males who want to claim their sister as their shared mate.

The Fairy Omega/Alpha Warrior dynamic has some similarities to vampires – Alphas consume the blood of the Omegas. Omega blood has magical properties that give them control over the Alpha, and the act of biting and sharing their blood produces intense aphrodisiac qualities.

The romance is fast burn and incredibly spicy. Fairies experience frenzy and heat, both portrayed in the story. There is abundant dirty talk, multiple MF and sharing scenes, and the usual omegaverse elements of slick, knots, and claiming bites.

Melody Unbound is a standalone and can be read independently of other books from the series. Melody appears in Rapture, and there are some crossover characters, so I recommend reading that one if you’d like more background.

Genre: Paranormal Romance
Tropes/Features: Omegaverse, mildly taboo elements, virgin fairy Omega FMC, Four adopted brother Alpha Warrior MMCs, pining, claimings, possessive and obsessive males, dirty talk, submission, light discipline
Narrator: Multiple 1st Person POV
Relationship Type: Why choose MFMMM, fast burn, very spicy (heat, DP, light discipline)
Book Type/Ending: Standalone in Coveted Prey series, HEA

4.5 stars!

Melody Unbound is a shorter and steamy read in the Coveted Prey series. Melody is a fairy with more power than she realizes. She is rescued when she is young and adopted by a family that has also adopted a few alphas. Zeke, Draven, Theron, and Aengus have always felt a connection with Melody and as the years pass, they realize she will be the Omega to their Alphas.

"Melody is something extraordinary and destined for greatness. The four of us will dedicate our lives to keeping her safe from the dangers her existence presents."

This was steamy steamy with a touch of angst and action and four alphas who wanted nothing more than to be there for their Omega and create a pack. Melody was a cute character and Zeke, Draven, Theron, and Aengus all had distinct personalities that melded together well. I loved all of them together.

"I am still Melody, their Melody, but now, I am unbound."

I've really enjoyed the stories in this world and can't wait to see what's next.

Another great read from this author. This is Melody's tale. A gifted fairy who is thrust into a wild adventure, with sorrow and brave souls caring for her. She has grown into a young woman and still loves her 4 adoptive brothers. (Only one is the child of her adoptive parents):D
Alphas each and a close band of men. In her world, a stone is searched for but there is ever present evil and those who would harm or steal her away. When she is old enough, she takes matters in hand and slowly pulls her mates to her. Each has their own personality and each is somewhat overprotective of her. There is humour, plenty of 🌶🌶🌶🌶 and adventure. Some angst and evil to overcome. But it does have a HEA with a lovely bonus! You will need to read to find out, just what/who!!

Such a fun read. A little bit taboo (4 guys basically raised as her brothers), a little drama (tests of magic and battle skills), a good bit of spice (did I mention FOUR guys?!?)… While fairly young and innocent, I didn’t find Melody to be annoying or too $tupid to live, like some v!rg!n FMCs are. And the guys were all so caring; both of her and each other (though sometimes it’s definitely tough love haha). Another fantastic read from LV Lane!

VERY STEAMY…

Like most of the books in the fairytale/portal series, Melody Unbound is no different, i.e. it’s full of REALLY steamy sex scenes and includes “punishment,” very ALPHA, alphas, and an abundance of men/mates that get the usually nervous/not exactly willing/gung-ho females to SUBMIT (for their pleasure as well) to their sexual authority. What made Melody Unbound more enjoyable than some of the other books in this series was that you get a lot more “adventure,” and a lot more “back story,” involving the FMC, including even her harem.

**SPOILERS**

The con, a.k.a. The point that REALLY made this book less satisfying (not to the point of bad, mind you) but a little annoying, enough to be bothersome, is as follows (again IMO).

Melody has been in love with her 4 Alpha “brothers” (NOT by blood, of course, because otherwise it would just be yuck, lol) forever! She loved them when she first met them as a child, idolizing them, until that love turned into romantic love, obsession on her part. The boys showered her ( first with physical affection (appropriate for a young girl) at first, but then went “zero dark thirty” on her, leaving her sad, angry, confused and wildly jealous. What made this annoying was the fact that the hypocrisy was absolutely, rather staggering; Melody remained this totally “chaste,” “innocent,” to the point of nearly pathetic fairy, while her brothers, even the more, “devoted to Melody” ones were able AND DID (in plain sight) have sex with every available of age omega or serving girl they could find…BUT suddenly the author is telling us that the brothers have always loved Melody too, and were just “waiting for her to grow up,” before staking their claim, oh hey, it’s fine to claim to love YOUR TRUE MATE while not showing her, and totally sleeping around being disgusting man-whores! The man-whore ways being explained/validated away by the author writing that they are just in fact virile Alpha males with “needs,” who are EXPECTED to partake in sexual activities even if they LOVE another woman because that’s just how “it’s done.” But the idea that they just did whatever they wanted (especially the older brothers) while Melody was expected to be locked up in this “gilded cage,” a.k.a. tower/fortress was beyond hypocritical! And not expressing any physical/romantic interest in a girl while harboring feelings for her, but making her jealous by actively making out with/having sex with, and pleasuring other females in Melody’s presence (at times) was JUST yuck. Because unlike some of the other novels in this series the brothers apparently are in love with Melody but just can’t express their romantic intent toward her for multitudes of reasons. Again, ridiculously hypocritical. In fact, a lot of these novels in the series feature the same behavior. And I think what makes it worse IS in fact that the Alpha m/or males, man - whore ways are always explained away, and the FMC just lets the behavior “slide.” So yes, I know this series is predominantly based on that fact, the fact that they (being whoever or whomever the MMC/C’s are) are big, strong, virile, warrior like at times, Alphas. And in some books in the series big into “kink.” But do they all have to be sooooo crazy promiscuous…usually right in front of their mates?? Does sleeping around REALLY, I mean it, really, contribute to the story arc as a whole? Or is only to add extra erotica into an already very steamy series…I think it’s the later.

However, that being said; this particular addition into the portal series is definitely one of the better ones, in as much as the plot line is quite intriguing, the FMC does actually get to “go along,” and is INSTRUMENTAL in helping in even saving her Alpha/s, AND, that her abhorrence over having her men as “slaves” rather than equals, makes her queasy and question EVERYTHING that she was raised to believe in as being correct and “right.” In addition the plot IS intriguing, and does suck you in.

Overall, this book is IMO (as long as you can handle intense, graphic erotica) one of the better additions to this series as a whole.

- FMC: Melody
- MMC's: Draven, Aengus, Zeke, Theron
- POVs Included: Multiple POVs (Melody, Zeke, Theron, Draven, Aengus)

-----------------------------------

SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

Melody is an imperial fairy omega who was rescued as a child from Blighten orcs who had captured her to use her for her portal powers. Another fairy, Winter (from Rapture) rescued her and brought her to Sanctum, where she was adopted into a family full of love.

But over the years she has grown to love her four adopted brothers in a not-so-sisterly way. She cannot see them as her brothers, but her future mates. She wants them, but she's afraid of putting herself out there and being rejected. Little does she know they've been feeling that pull towards her too, and have been waiting for her to be ready. Which she is now.

REVIEW:

This was great. I really loved this one. I loved how protective the guys are over her from the start. I love their different personalities and how they blended well together. I love how they want to share her and are excited to form a pack together.

This one is interesting too because it sort of continues the storyline that happened in Winter and Jacob's story. They are both present side characters in this book. And Melody is the fae child that Winter saved in Rapture. So it was neat to see them again and see what's been happening, and also how Sanctum is changing and growing (even if it's slowly).

The story also progresses as far as the keystones go -- which are the keys that allow the Blighten to open portals and attack various tribes and villages. This has been an ongoing conflict for most of the books, even though the books take place in many different realms. In this one, Melody discovers an edge she has when it comes to retrieving the stolen keystones from them. And it could change the landscape of the realms moving forward in the future books.

But while the story was interesting, what I loved most was the relationship. I adored the bond they all shared. The guys have a strong bond with each other and they all share a strong bond with Melody too.

The steam was hot and I also loved the hint of taboo since she's their adopted sister and they are brothers sharing (two are half brothers -- Draven and Theron -- and the other two unrelated adopted brothers -- Zeke and Aengus).

Zeke's dirty talk was so hot. So was Aengus' roughness and Draven's dominance. Theron had some hot moments too, especially that first scene with Melody, him and Zeke.

I will say though that I thought for sure there might be something more going on between Draven and Aengus (who are not blood brothers, Aengus was adopted). After a few comments it seemed like it was hinted they might have some feelings for each other. But unfortunately nothing came of that so I don't know what that was about. Wouldn't have minded that turn of events though.

Overall it was a great addition to the series. I very much enjoyed it. Super steamy, sweet, and exciting all at once.

Melody Unbound is book number 13 in the Coveted Prey series. All the books can be read as stand-alone, however, I tend to recommend you start at the beginning to familiarise yourself with this world, though it's not necessary as there are several different parts of this fantasy world, with different customs and so forth. :)

This book is a reverse harem omegaverse and it's quite full of delicious smutty scenes. :D
It's one of the author's more 'light and fluffy' works tbh, though it does have some tension. Mostly we find ourselves inside the main buildings of Sanctum and we follow Melody's day-to-day life as an Omega Fairy, who can open dark portals and is receiving portal training.¨

Melody is very young, though she is an adult - but I did find myself struggling to get on with her and the book in general, because there was just so much of her behaviour that, to me, made her seem extremely young. Now I know she's very sheltered, this is made clear - but I'm going, to be honest, I kept picturing a hentai scene here and there because of her dialogue. *lol*

I really did struggle to get on with her as a character, which also made me struggle a bit through the book - but it's not all lost! It's just that I am not personally a fan of her type of character.

The Alphas (she has 4 of them) I liked better, but I would have loved to see MORE of them outside the bedroom and without her. I also felt like I wanted to see more of why Draven was the lead Alpha, what exactly made him this, because apart from a couple of situations, I didn't feel like this was delved into enough.

I loved the brothers' dialogue most of the time, especially when discussing Melody and their plans hehe. But I did feel like there was a lot of repetition of dialogue subject and though not word for word, I still found myself thinking "We already covered this". So that was a letdown.

All in all, I gave this particular book 3 stars, simply because I just didn't get on with Melody. The author is extremely talented, and I have usually given her other books top scores or almost top scores (even in this series), so this for me is a huge thing that I only gave it 3. But I am honest in my reviews, and like it is with many book series, we don't always love ALL the books or get along with ALL the books. And this just happened to be THAT book I didn't get on with. :)

While sweet romances are not usually my jam... I have to say that I absolutely loved this one. Melody amused me to no ends in this story. Not in a bad way either. She was just so sweet, and sassy. And a little spitfire. I loved her. I found myself chuckling with whatever she was getting up to. I loved how down right possessive she was of her alphas. And how she could pout like a child. Convinced she was right about something contrary to all the evidence contradicting her. If she got an idea in her head she was gonna follow it through no matter the consequences. It doesn't help that for some reason in my head I have this picture of her being a little tinker bell size (literally) up against all these giant alphas. It was awesome. I loved this story and everybody needs to get it and read it now!

I loved all her alphas also. Draven was a good first alpha. The best, it amused me when it came to the mating how he thought he was gonna be first... Till Zeke, and Theron decided differently and took matters into their own hands. That was another amusing moment for me... Picturing the guilty looks on their faces when Draven came back into the room. 😂😂😂

Aengus... I wish there had been more of his POV in this story. I still feel like he is a bit of a mystery to me. I know he went through some really tough things growing up. He felt he was undeserving of Melody. I wanted to see the part where he realized that he was entirely deserving of her. Specially after what he did to save her.

Theron is another one that is still a bit of a mystery. He just got kind of lost in the pack. He didn't make waves or stand out. He just kind of kept his light hidden amongst the rest of the pack. He just blended in... till he wanted to shine and then crept back into the background.

Zeke.. now that alpha scared the bejesus out of me. He about broke my heart into tiny little pieces. For the story to move forward the way it needed to, it had to happen... but dang it just about gave me heart failure.

I love the Coveted Prey series so much, and this one definitely lived up to the hype.

This is a story about Melody, a beautiful fairy omega who went through a lot when she was a small child to come and live with her adopted parents and her adopted brothers. She has grown and is now a 19 year old imperial fairy who must go on quests to help retrieve a stone that will help save her home. With the help of her adopted alpha brothers , she soon learns that she is the only one who can do it successfully.

The thing is, she's in love with all her adopted brothers, you have Draven, the lead alpha who is very bossy and dominant, Aengus, a big and beautiful barbarian that is more barbarian than man, Theron, who is fairly easy going and Zeke who is the youngest and runt of the pack but has worked hard to get where he is. They also love her more than a sister and even think of her as their mate. They feel it, but in their kingdom, it's highly rare for a fairy omega to take on 4 mates.

I loved this story so much, Melody was sweet but had such a great spark within her. Throughout the course of the book, we had the chance to see that she became her true amazing self and got to see a possessive streak come out when it came to her adoptive brothers. I loved that her men accepted her for who she was and that they always came together no matter what for Melody. I don't know if I can choose who my favourite is out of her men, I love them all so much! The spicy scenes in this book were also amazing!!!

Such a great read!!! You can get this on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.

Still going strong…

I was hesitant about this book because of the whole step brother thing but it isn’t as taboo as I thought.

There are 4 brothers total. Two blood related with same mom (Draven and Theron) and two other orphans who were raised with them (Aengus and Zeke). Melody is also an orphan who was raised with them when she was rescued. The brothers moved out and became warriors as Melody grew up more at home. Plus in previous books the men used terms like brother when talking amongst themselves because of being brothers-in-arms so the term wasn’t off putting.

Plus Ms. Melody has her heart set on the pack and her heart and omega instinct will not be persuaded otherwise. The men are completely respectful and absolutely in love with her.

It was funny how oblivious poor Zeke was. And the surprise of wings for all four…just goes to show that even though you live with someone you don’t truly know them.

I was a little lost when it came to what their ‘scouting’ missions were and it seemed like there should be a story out for Willow and Jacob (there might be since I haven’t read every book in the Coveted Prey series) since so much of their history was referenced. All and all it could totally be read on its own. Plus it ends in a happily ever after.

A rh sencondary omegaverse romantic fantasy. With invading evil, warriors, an academy feel and heat/frenzy.

Multiple povs told in first person

Pack characters -
Melody - fairy omega with wings and dust
Alphas - Draven (first alpha), Theron, Aengus and Zeke

Steam - hot, heat/frenzy

Triggers - death, battle

This book wasn’t for me. That’s not to say it was an awful book- I just didn’t care for the dialogue and cadence of tone from the characters. An example phrase: “For my legs are a little weak”. Not a fan of what seems like medieval dialect.

I hated how hard the author pushed the brother/sister not really taboo line. The constant reminding of it being her brother and their sister, yet it didn’t even feel like they had a relationship growing up, or that they even grew up together. Or even really knew each other. There was no real reminiscing of back in the day or whatever so it felt like ppl who knew of each other . It got annoying how the author just kept pounding down “how do you feel for your brother” kind of stuff. Idk let it happen organically? It just felt like the authors main purpose was to remind you of this “taboo” relationship.

Personally there was no world building, no real depth to characters, and I wasn’t a fan of the omega being in supreme control- I wasn’t a big fan of that bit. I can appreciate that the author had a fresh and different perspective, but I didn’t care for it. It was pretty hard to get through this book, I won’t lie, I really debated stopping and DNF, but I chugged through. I don’t think I’d read another book like this. I love a Spicy book but this book had no depth just spice after spice, and I LOVE it but after awhile the pairings got old and that was all this book was. A tiny glimpse of character and world then spice. I really don’t know how there aren’t lower ratings…

What a wonderful addition to the Coveted Prey world!
I found the FMC Melody to be interesting and believable, The 4 Male leads in this book were also pretty believable.
Storyline continues with The Sanctum and shows us more of the day to day and year to year operations that happen there as they fight an unending war with the Blighten.  The Sanctum is first really first revealed to us in Rapture and this entry does tie back to several other books, However You would not need to read the whole series to enjoy this book.
I will not spoil this book beyond advising that there is a Happy Ending and it is a very enjoyable read. I got so wrapped up in Melody that at the end of the book I had the feels for her and emotional tears.
L.V. Lane is a wonderful world builder and every entry into this world stretches the understanding of it, and pushes the loosely connected stories lines along. I believe every book could be a stand alone, but when you read all of the entries the little easter eggs really pop and create "ah Ha!" moments.
I highly recommend this book, it was a very enjoyable read!

This was a great book that was a culmination of multiple coveted prey books earlier within the series. In some ways, the numbering of the books and how they are combined in the series could be changed/adjusted to better understand how the stories connect. That being said, this was a thoroughly enjoyable story. Familiar characters are seen, and other characters are now grown. This story could have easily fallen into too much politics and court intrigue but does a good balance of offering small bits to add to the story but not overpower the main characters' stories. Just as the story could have been much darker given many of the characters' pasts. Instead, it only adds to their depth and is not the sole focus. While the coveted prey books span the spectrum of soft to dark, monogamy and polyamory, and various species, this has to have been one of my favorite books so far. It is worth multiple reads, and I definitely recommend it.

Melody, the child rescued by Winter in book 16 of the Coveted Prey Book, grows up to become quite the beauty of the castle of Sanctum. A tantalizing young fairy to her four brothers Zeke, Draven, Theron, and Aengus. With whom she has grown quite attracted to. Melody loves when each of them rubs her overly sensitive ears to make her climax, only when she gets her flashback nightmares of course.
Melody’s brothers, one by one, must take part in the binding ritual of taking blood from her when she and her Alpha warrior go on missions through a portal together. Which often ends in Melody asking for their members between her heated center. Which must wait for later.
Melody must wait for a mating with her four mates until it is okayed by the King. For it is an unusual request for a fairy to have four mates. Does Melody get her request granted? Is her lust quenched? Do her brothers answer the call?

Melody has grown up since we've initially met her in book seven, "Rapture" and she is finally set to start going on some missions to further her portalling lessons. But that requires her to be bound to an Alpha and the only ones she wants to be bound to are forbidden to her. Unbeknownst to her, those Alphas feels the same way towards her and they'll beat out any other Alpha to make sure they are the ones assigned to her.

It's good that we get to revisit characters from a previous book in the series. Even then, Melody was a special secondary character so it's good to see her get her own book and a more in depth look at her past. And is it really a surprise how naughty of an Omega she is as an adult considering she kind of got her way even as a child within the Blighten army? Lots of good laughs and lots of HOT sexy times. Definitely a wonderful addition to this series and not to be missed at all!

Give Me More!!!

I LOVE L.V. Lane's Coveted Prey series...I love how she write omegaverse and RH romances, and I want more, I want them all!!

Now normally step romances are a nope for me, but I always bend the rules for authors I trust, and L.V. did not disappoint.

I loved the storyline/plot it was sold and the story stood well as a standalone read in the series, and it also gave us plenty of steam and spice, the perfect balance IMO.

I loved that Melody was an omega was some hidden talents/abilities and also features that other fairies no longer have...she was a super complex character and I enjoyed learning more about her as the story developed.

And the guys...oh the guys...we got a little bit of everything I feel with them. Can't be mad about all that yum.

A must read IMO..read in KU then promptly purchased as I enjoyed it so much.

What can I say other than this author has done it again and written a fantastic fantasy book 😍

This time in the coveted world of stories we meet a Fairy and her 4 handsome Alpha ‘brothers’ I love that this story is a little taboo 😉

The book has all the spice you could want in a fairy/alpha omegaverse sandwich, it gets hotter the more you read 🥵🥵 you think Melody squirms but you will too whilst reading this 😝 But it also has plot too, I really enjoyed the storyline, of how everything comes together with twists and turns and secrets that are revealed 🖤

I was nearly sobbing at one point reading, cursing out Liv and her rollercoaster writing 😂

I love all books written by this author. They flow really well, there is plot and spice, the writing i I find effortless when reading as I just get lost in the world on the pages. Can’t wait for more in this series 😍

Honestly, Lv Lane is one of my comfort authors, because I’m sure that she will get me out of a reading slump. Her books have some great great smut but also always have a good plot ! So I love her for that !

And Melody Unbound was no exception ! I really enjoyed my reading and I sincerely liked the story ! Melody was such a great character and can we talk about her harem ?!?! I mean, she definitely win 👀

I also really liked following a world where omega are kinda in power ! It was very refreshing even if that world was not perfect lol

And, the vampire side of the story ? Miam 👀🤣 All of that to say, you really need to read one of the coveted prey book ! They really are great and the spice will not deceive you !

Ps: thanks again to Lv Lane for the arc 🫶
PS2: I’m so sorry for the delay 🥲

This is another fantastic RH Omegaverse story.

It was so cute, adorable, funny and sexy hot, I literally could not put this one down.

Melody is a fairy with special abilities such as opening portals to different realms. She also loves getting her ears petted (you must read to find out why). I could not stop laughing.

I loved the storyline and all her Alpha characters were all sexy, dominant and they want nothing more than to be her mate. However; with danger coming, it’s up to them to keep her and the kingdom safe while she keeps putting herself in danger.

In closing, if you love hot alphas and cute fairies, then this is a must read.

Way to go L. V. Lane with another wonderful RH Omegaverse book.

I have voluntarily reviewed this book and this is my honest review!

Melody is a fairy, saved from a dark fate and raised by a kind woman. Now that she is all grown up, her feelings for her adoptive siblings have changed dramatically, and this omega is ready to charge towards her destiny.
This book is full of spicy goodness, and is the perfect way to loose yourself for a few hours. L.v Lane’s writing is sharp, engaging and delicious.
I loved how all the men were working together towards a common goal, even without realising they were doing so. Growly and protective have always been my favourite characteristics in alphas, and Lane does this perfectly.
All in, an absolutely wonderful addition to this series.
Can be read as a stand-alone, and is a why-choose.

okay but…

The resolution felt a bit… lacking. Like okay, the antagonist did what they did because they were displeased? It sounded very basic. I don’t even understand why they sabotaged the first quest. They were unhappy with change, the book said, but how did Melody represent that change? She was different, sure, but up until that point in the story, Melody never really tried to change things. Idk. That whole thing was kind of iffy

It’s like the focus was on the imperial omega/mates thing but the things going in around them were not thought out clearly. I mean I didn’t mind the spice (loved em all), but it didn’t feel as balanced as, say, the story with Gage (idk why i only remember Gage’s name). THAT one had both story and spice pretty evenly balanced

Hot!

In true fashion, with the author and the rest of this standalone series, it has some serious heat and Smexiness. LV does an excellent job with character development, plot, and storyline. She creates a world that is easily believable and easy to visualize. The characters come to life on the pages as they should.
Four alphas one small fairy omega. Three were orphans (two of the MCs and the FMC), taken in by the same family raised as siblings. As they grow, they find their love is not the sisterly brotherly type. Duty to sanctum for the alphas as well as our FMC. They find themselves in situations that no one has gone through before. They deal with it together as a pack. Full of twists and turns highly recommend

I love OTT, possessive alphas who are reluctant at first! Once they have Melody everything falls into place! Fairy dust, praise and multiple alphas to spoil their omega.

This is a sweet fantasy romance centered around our sweet fairy and her smoking hot alphas. My personal favorite is Zeke for comforting reasons 😮‍💨😭

What she builds with her alphas as their relationship grows is hot, sweet and dirty! One big twist absolutely wrecked me. No spoilers, you won’t expect it. The fallout makes our pack grow stronger and for the better.

L. V Lane always delivers on captivating stories with all the spicy bits of growly alphas and the omegas that bring them to heel 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥲

Melody is a fairy child who watches her parents be killed and then is taken by the Orc army. She is reduced by another fairy and taken to where other fairies live. In this world Omega fairies are bound to alphas and the alphas must follow their every command. Melody loves her four adoptive brothers and wants all of them to be her mates.

No Omega ever gets four mats here and they are still trying to discover how to stop the Orc army. Melody navigates life with her future mate while helping to stop the Orcs. There is the right mix of steamy omega love here and suspense as they fight to save their world. This story is part of a series but all are standalones.

I didn’t enjoy this one as much. Don’t get me wrong I’m a big fan and will continue to read every single one of these again. Lane has a formula and it works for her, but I’m tired of all the same characters and plot.

Warrior alpha males take shy virginal female as their mate. He must train her in all aspects of sex. They spank and give her punishments when she’s a brat. While also killing anyone who touches her. The sex is always kinky and interesting.

But Every one of these books have the same characters, personalities, and plots.

I love the world. I love her writings. But I’m ready for something more. Something dark and twisty and different.

I loved this book. I generally live all of her stories. I will admit I had a hard time getting into Winter and Jacobs story before this one. Melody and her men's story however, I had no such issue. I loved the journey that melody went through in finding herself, admitting what she wanted and going after it, as well as coming into understanding her power. There were some heartbreaking moments and some that made my heart soar. This book also was filthily spicy. Good gravy! I enjoyed the relationship progress we got to see between melody and her four men. I very much look forward to the next instalment!
I received an ARC in return for my honest review.

Another fantastic addition to this series

I cannot get enough of this series!! I have read every single book that’s come out and I have not been disappointed.

It was interesting seeing the power dynamic in this one and how they worked with/around it.

This book made me feel all happy and squishy except for that one part that made me sad lol
Overall this book was a spicy yummy mess of alphas.

I love RH and this one was an excellent example of a RH romance. I also gotta say I love the variety of creatures that exist in this world!

I hope Ms Lane adds more stories to this world!!
