Beating his wife to a pulp turns Derek on. But his mistress controls him in the bedroom.
Leah desperately seeks out her father. But Adam is against it.
James was hooking up with Jen. But now he is missing limbs.
One man without arms. Mouth sewn shut. One armless and legless. The third becoming less every day. A fourth man enters the fray. Fingers broken off. Panic and fear, trapped like animals.
Escape is the only option.
The hired killer, the scorned family, the misogynist and the molester. All surround one widow, and only she can stop them all.
Widow is a kaleidoscope of brutal acts of violence, betrayal, and revenge. It crosses the boundaries of polite society and delves into the rancid belly of man’s need to satiate his desires at any cost. Widow is an extreme horror novel with scenes that will disturb. Consider this a trigger warning for everything.
So what can you expect from Widow? The most addictive and terrifying version of hell for some very unsuspecting men. A girl looking for her father, a man discovering that his wife is having a little extra curricular with the pool boy, meanwhile said man has sexual desires that involve something completely non-consensual. He meets a sexy woman and his life turns into chaos. The more pages I turned, the eviller the book appeared. It almost burnt my fingers. The reality of it all, mixed with the truth, is toxic.
Great horror read. Liked the twists and turns. Would have loved more background story on the main character. However, it’s still a good extreme horror read.
I enjoyed this read, piecing all the characters together and following each man in turn. It had you wondering what happens next, gripping you with each page. There are a few extreme scenes that has you enthralled. But the whole thing works, building to a great ending with twists that shock you. My favourite ends to be Rene and how she goes about doing things. An exciting and compelling read that won't disappoint. Recommended
Rene wiped off the blood from the door to the understairs. She closed the door to the stairs downwards, beyond that. No one would ever know. Then she went down to the basement. She closed and locked the door. The corpse of Charles pushed to the corner. She walked slowly to Matthew. Strung there. Alone. Helpless.
When he discovers his wife is cheating on him, an indignant Derek seeks to exert his ‘authority’ and awakens his true vile predilections.
Told through varying perspectives, the narrative seamlessly merges into some shocking revelations and races towards an exciting and rewarding conclusion.where just desserts are oh so very sweet.
Was easy to figure out what was happening but other than that was a great book, wouldn’t call the horror too extreme and can probably see the things that happen in movies now a days but enjoyed the story
It’s my first foray into Ash’s books and the trigger warnings on the back pulled me in. I’ve been on a billionaire smut bender all year and wanted to sink my teeth into something different, so I spent my morning checking out this book.
Now, I don’t know if an overconsumption of Serial Killer documentaries, and a general interest in the macabre, has desensitised me but I found this book to be so tame I was bored at points. No, I’m not a psycho or sociopath haha
It was really easy to come to the conclusion of who the ‘Widow’ is quite quickly, and very early on in the book. You could work out who she had in her dungeon/basement with ease.
The ‘twist’ in the end was expected - Alex telling his sister to come home, her carrying a knife, it was only a matter of time before she encountered her father. The circumstances surrounding the meeting were creative so I will give points for that.
The unfurling of the story is told in multiple POV’s and each character change isn’t titled to show who we are viewing events from. It’s quite jarring at the beginning of the book but you eventually you get the hang of it.
Overall, it’s okay but I won’t rush to purchase more books by this author. But, I may read other books eventually.

The writing style took me a minute to get used to, but I didn’t hate it once I did. (Book could use a good edit though.) Overall an interesting story with some extremely disturbing elements and a twist or two or three.
