A hunt.
A haunt.
A hope.

Eden, Silas, and Nash travel to Eastern Kentucky to visit the Lukosan pack after their encounter with Nyx. As Eden gets a taste of life with wolves and an introduction to the Hunt, the Alpha and Beta of the Lukosan pack attempt to meddle with her engagement. While Silas finds respite from his responsibilities, Nash attempts to uncover his lost memories and wrestles with accusations from the darker creatures of the burning forest.

And if planning ceremonies and preparing for winter weren't enough, Caroline and the Seers attempt to solve a ghost haunting and battle their own wildfires. The Hunt is on the move with the coming winter winds, and it looks to be a cold one.

This part of the story was exciting we meet another pack and a different location. There’s some creepy ghost stories told around a fire and new enemies! Gosh it was exciting I’m really stoked to see where this story goes in the third book. The imagery Morgan creates is fantastic I could feel the cold snd smell the forest around me. I’m really in love with Nash btw lol.

ENDORSEMENT:

Ultimately, To Breathe Beneath Stars is a story about family. You step barefoot into the Appalachians, deeper into unknown territory along with Eden, and you come back out returning home with a feeling that you belong someplace, among a family. And I think that's what we all crave in every story. So step back into the unknown with me as Hubbard, yet again, puts those feelings into words.

~

This one’s gonna make you hate some people, make you fall even more in love with others, make you think twice about EVERYTHING and possibly everyone and yet you’re gonna want more and more and more, luckily for us, there’s more to come with these Arcadian Legends!
I laughed out loud multiple times, mostly because Nash is freaking hilarious but also because Silas thiiiinks? He can be funny?? 😅
I fell more in love with Caroline, even if we don’t get to see her as much in book2 (I expect great things and much more page time) for this queen, even if she is the Beta.
And Eden… dear, sweet, lost little humans girl. I want to wrap her in my arms and tell her she belongs, just as she is and that she is LOVED. (Ultimately I just wanted Silas to tell her all the things he was thinking… stupid, wolf, boy king 🤦🏻‍♀️)(he did good in the end though 👀👌🏻)

Expect much more creeps and spooks in To Breathe Beneath Stars. (Which I personally loved!)
Also expect things to go slowly, because Hubbard has this magical way of putting you in amongst the characters so that you’re not holed up in your arm chair, or bed or wherever it is you find yourself hunkering down for a good read… you’re actually in amongst the group, walking the trails of the Appalachians and that takes time, you also get to sit and eat gorgeous sounding food (dude, my mouth watered every single time, even if it was something I’d eaten a hundred times!)
You sit and lay and watch the stars and time slows for that too, you sit and sip tea (AND COFFEE thank God!) around the fire and the coziness and slowness of all of this seeps into the soul.
So, while yes, I think it’s a slow read I also believe it’s meant to be. It’s perfectly slow. A perfect story for the seeping in of Winter and to let your soul settle.

(Don’t let that fool you though… it gets TENSE and I found myself speaking out loud to my book when things picked up and I was grasping for details..!)
The ending will leave you with the perfect amount of: WHAT THE HELL? And WHAT THE F*%! WAS THAT?! AND. NEED. BOOK3. NOW!! IMMEDIATELY!
But oh dear reader, we will have to wait and just reread books 1&2 again until that time.

Until then, May you all find Peace among Trees.

A heart-pounding journey of self-discovery and courage. In this thrilling sequel to “To Live Among Wolves,” the Appalachian Mountains are once again the backdrop for a story that explores what it truly means to belong, even when you’re unsure of your place. With vibrant characters, heartwarming moments, and new adventure, this book masterfully blends fantasy with the realities of growing up, letting go of the past, and embracing the unknown. If you’re ready for a wild ride full of bravery, transformation, and the power of finding your true pack, this book is for you.

The plot thickens…

Although I’m sad I waited so long to jump into this book after reading the first, I’m also relieved I did. I absolutely needed to be able to start the final book immediately after finishing this one!

Getting to follow the Arcadians to a new location, diving deeper into different folklore, and meeting new characters… all the while, knowing there is something mysterious going on beneath it all. I didn’t want to put this book down.

Morgan definitely found her rhythm with this book. She truly embraces her unique voice as a storyteller.

Now to begin book 3!

To Breathe Beneath Stars exceeded my expectations for a sequel, and I loved the chance to dive back into the magic of Arcadia. With werewolf politics, family grief, and enchanting magic, there's not a moment to waste in this ethereal continuation of Eden's story!

This is one of the coziest series I’ve ever read. If you feel like there aren’t enough werewolf books out there, or found family stories full of romance, complicated sibling relationships, and cryptid, read this one!!!!

PG-13 this was a great follow up to the second book! I only wish I knew it wasn’t a complete series before I finished 😭 I absolutely loved the engagement ceremony at the end!
