Excellent Read

This is an author I know I always enjoy reading his books. Entertaining. Believable. Thought provoking. Not politically correct but politically right. I argue with his characters because so many don't coincide with my beliefs and I want to say good job to the others. Yes, I talk to the characters because he brings them to life. The Buck-ee's scene was a prime example. I was yelling "Don't turn on your light! Don't look! Of course he did. (The author's description of the restrooms was spot on. ) Definitely looking forward to Book five.

I got all the way to book 4

This is stupid, the thought process of the author is ridiculous! I can't understand the scenarios and the reaction to said scenarios! Fumbling around with a .22 cal rifle, thinking you have a weapon? Can't fix a flat tire, bent rim and leaky radiator hose, leaving a truck load of supplies, NOT picking up a better weapon?? When you had the CHANCE.. Come on Tom! The story is word salad, Kamala ramblings and redundant, repetitious of story telling descriptions of irrelevant people, places and mostly things and sometimes actions. Tom you suck, especially when you waste chapters with flowery, descriptive, thesaurus filled word toilet.. and then hurry up and jump past what could have been an exciting episode of adventure to meet your word count, because you failed to plan by pressing up against the closing of your book..
Word count is not important, the story is. I hope I don't ever accidentally read another one of your wasteful, time consuming books ever again.
This review will not allow me to post one star, or I would.

This has been a good series, but this book seemed to stall and stumble a bit. There were several flashbacks to the military group's time in Syria, but did little to add to our understanding of the story or of the group. I found the escape of Jack and his family from the Louisiana Nat Guard a bit incredible to be very believable. We also had a lot of talking by the bad Obsidian cabal leaders who delight in detailing their plans. The rescue of Governor Fine was to be expected (and the primary action plot), but when found he seems very frail and on the verge of collapse. They find out about the mole, but don't radio ahead and warn the people at G-Man's homestead? When Fine realizes the mole is there, he is suddenly robust and stomps out for confrontation? Seems sus. I do look forward to book 5 in the hopes that it improves and we see Obsidian get what is coming to them.

Texas is powerless. The Governor and the executive group are missing or dead.

G-man, Baller and Grouch have the Governor's wife and family safe. They are trying to find the Governor and foil the plot the Fenix group has initiated. Texas is in the dark. How the rest of the country is doing is unknown. Did Texas' grid take down the rest of the country? Where is the Governor? Are any of the rest of the executive team survive? Who is the traitor feeding information to Fenix? Will Jack and his family make it to their Hill Country property? How long will the power be off?
Exciting characters and a storyline from hell keep me up at night, reading until the wee hours! This is an amazing read!

On the road again...

Prepper: book 4 picks up after the carnage at the Warrant home, with the family forced to flee to the hill country after the attack by Blair left their home tainted and the sense of safety it provided gone. Simultaneously, Gov Fine and his family are separated and unsure of the state of the others. The book also, via flashbacks, gives more of the history of the 'Grey Team' together. This is a high quality, well written series which apocalyptic survival thriller fans will love. This book sets up what is likely to be an enthralling denouement in book 5. 5/5 stars! I can't wait to see how this turns out!

Prepper Book 4

Well, jack and Betty and family are still hanging in there. Through thick and thin, through trials and tribulations.
They are continuing their journey to make their family safe.

Meanwhile, G-Man, Opha May, and crew are still trying to help right the State of Texas and bring them through the Grid Down.

'enough said. You have to buy the book and read for yourself !!

Thanks to the author!

Grateful for the Insights

I’m glad I found Tom Abrahams. I have read each of the PREPPER books so far and I am so glad I have. These books have a realism within the pages that makes me want to be more prepared for what could take place in our country today. Sometimes I am kept up at night at the scenario’s I imagine but I believe I will be in a better place than many, many others because of the tips and ideas that fill the pages of these books. I am grateful.

Jack's never been in a physical fight up until the EMP and he's basically fucking Rambo now 15 days later lol.

Jack: "I'm feeling pretty shitty that I've had to kill 7 people in the last 2 weeks"

Betty: "yeah well man the fuck up we need you to be strong"

Thanks, wifey.

This was so good although what I thought would happen did not. I hate that I have to wait two months for the next one!

A few too many silly mistakes from Jack and crew to earn five stars.
