End of Dawn - After the Fall Book 6:

Rate this book
Rick and Jackie return to Texas, but their home is occupied by an enemy force, and their chances of reclaiming it are running out in After the Fall Book 6.

Tired of the same old apocalyptic fare? Welcome to your new addiction.

The best-selling post-apocalyptic authors Mike Kraus and Justin Bell bring a new gripping tale of destruction, survival and humanity like no one else can.

The unthinkable has happened - the Yellowstone Caldera has ruptured, instantly killing hundreds of on-site scientists studying the recent unusual rumblings and spreading a cloud of destruction that annihilates everything in its path.

In North Dakota, Rick Slayton has just finished a prisoner transfer, and is about to head south to pick up his daughter from his cousins' house when news of the eruption hits the airwaves. He and the other guards - and inmates - of the prison barely have time to take shelter in the building's interior before the outer wave of the pyroclastic flow strikes. When he digs his way out of the prison, only one thing is on his rescuing his daughter come hell or high water.

In South Dakota, Jackie Slayton is shopping when the eruption arrives, and she's barely able to survive by hiding underground in a parking garage. A torturous journey awaits her as she struggles to get back to her relative's house - and tragedy waits around every corner.

Meanwhile, in Texas, the effects of the eruption are lessened - but are severe nonetheless, as Brenda Slayton and her other two children flee to her father's nearby ranch, holding out hope for her husband and eldest daughter's eventual return while turning her immediate attention to survival and preparing for what the future holds.

Riveting Story

These six books that comprise the 'After the Fall' series are a terrific read. You don't have to be a fan of Post-Apocalyptic fiction to enjoy this vast story. The main characters are well developed, each interesting in their own way. This is the first Yellowstone eruption I have read, and although it is not my first thought with regard to TEOTWAWKI, it was still fascinating. I was surprised that I got sucked into the story so quickly, but the storylines are that interesting. I recommend this series to any reader that likes books that have strong and intense story-telling.

Regaining home

Thrilling, dangerous, scary, heartbreaking, & ultimately renewing. The story of one family surviving though separated by great distances, & sadly, friends they lost along the way to greed, thievery, abuse, conflict from others’ who used violence & domination as tools. One of the best apocalyptic survival series I have ever read.

How do you follow this!

After the fall has indeed been a thrilling series. Great well rounded characters, more than enough baddies and a story line that keeps the pages turning. Please Justin Bell and Mike Kraus keep working your magic together as I can't wait for your next collaboration.

What a thriller!

This has been one of my favorite series. Mom and siblings in Texas and 14 year old girl and. Dad up north in both ND and SD trying to get home to Texas .
I have a question about "Pete", is he s German Short hair Pointer as in first book or German Shepard as in the rest of the book?

stunning picture of our country

My first review. This story is about a family who give every breath for each other while caught in the most dangerous, but original and believable, situations! It is compelling story telling again from this talented team. Bravo!

Home!

Do we truly ever appreciate what we have until it is ripped away from us? Tough decisions are needed to determine what we are willing pay or give up.

An excellent finale

End of Dawn is the final book in the After The Fall series. The intrepid Slayton/Conway clan is finally reunited and surprising characters are those to sacrifice themselves and save the day against the Truesdon invaders. It is a very worthy way to end a great series!

This was a great series

I loved this series. It was believable and maybe a little too real. Lots of drama, sacrifices and hard choices. If this is going to be in our future, I can only hope that people will try to find ways to work together and not turn to violence.
