Could not put this down!
If you are new to Bex Dawn, the Tricotomy of New York is an amazing Reverse Harem series to pick up with so much amazing spice but also phenomenal plot and extremel well developed characters.
Tough love is the third of four books available in the series and you absolutely need to read the other two first so that you can fall in love with Violet, Renz, Isaac and Eli. The first three books, including Tough Love all end on cliffhangers so make sure you have the next one available close by when you finish it.
Bex is hands down my favourite author, particularly because all the books she has written thus far weave through each other in some way. Her very first series, The Los Diablos Syndicate series has characters that are interwoven into this series as well as does her MC series where we run into our beautiful psycho Brass again. You do not need to read those first in order to read these but you should read them eventually because....her stuff is the bomb.
I received Tough Love as an Advanced Reader Copy and put it back in one sitting. Once again, ever since Violet left us in book two on the biggest cliffhanger ever, i've been paitiently waiting to see what her men do to get her back. And just like I expected; the burn the world down!
Tough Love picks up shortly after we left Violet in the second book after she is drugged and abducted in Central Park after having a wild time the previous day with all three of her men; Renz, Eli and Issac. Just like the first and second book, the storyline of innocent cafe owner Violet flows, is extremely entertaining and just downright SO spicy at times. This one builds Violets character though as the badass female main character that she is, who wont fold when things get tough and she is someone we want to root for. Violet has to endure the horrific scenario of being abducted and possibly sold into human sex trafficing. Be very forewarned that while these books are sexy and hot with multiple love interests, there is many dark themes that are explored that are not for the faint of heart.
If you are squemish about your trigger warnings then tread carefully as there is discussion about; Mental Health talk, gang violence, drugs/weapons, graphic language, MM/MMM/MFMM scenes, human trafficking, racial and sexual slurs, physical and mental abuse, gaslighting, kidnapping, BDSM, breeding kink, choking, spanking, degradation, child abuse past reference, death/murder.
