She never dreamed her salvation would come from a man on a black motorcycle who wears a MC patch.
Charlie The only thing I was sure of was people lied. They would say they loved you, but their fists would tell a different story. I had to leave, to run before he killed me. When the enigmatic stranger I met once in a run-down diner finds me escaping, he takes the matter in his hands and gives my ex a taste of his own cruel medicine. A decision that cost my unlikely savior six years of his life. I never forgot his warm touch, or the way I felt safe with him for a brief moment before I ran for my life. Imagine my surprise when half a decade later our paths collide unexpectedly, and I discover he’s part of a powerful MC with ties to my vengeful ex.
Linc I couldn’t walk away then, and nothing can make me now. After losing my freedom for helping the beaten girl I found on the side of the road, I was determined to let her go. The only problem was her somber blue eyes that haunted me every night when I closed mine. I never imagined I’d see her again, but fate had other plans. Now, she needs my protection more than ever. But this time around, she’s keeping secrets that could get her killed. And it isn’t only her ex who’s on the hunt for what she’s desperately trying to hide.
If this scared girl from my past can’t find a way to trust me with the truth, then it will be more than just her life that’s at stake.

Kate is a lover of all things books. It doesn’t matter what genre, as long as there’s a HEA, she’s in. She started reading romance in high school and would hide novels in textbooks to read during class. Becoming an author was always a dream she had and finally decided to put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) and write what she loves. She grew up in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan then became a West Coast girl where she lives with her amazing husband and hilarious son. She would love to hear from readers so check out all her socials and sign up for her newsletter so she can keep you up to date on her books and whatever other ramblings come to mind.
I always say and I will die on this hill. “When in doubt give me an MC book”
I really like this one. It is quick pace, the plot it’s cool and the couple is great. But let me tell you that the side “couple” because I know they will be the next book couple, were GIVING! I read this book loving it but with one eye on the next because I love Lucy SO SO much and Jude was also giving me all I wanted. But back to this one. Linc is part of MC club and he came from a childhood where he witnessed his mother being beaten by his father on the daily till she was finally able to scape him. So needless to say that women abuse is completely, totally, irrevocably, extremely a problem for him. He doesn’t accept and takes issue even if he doesn’t know the person. So here comes Charlie, she is a waitress in this almost dead diner in this sleepy old almost dead town. Linc and his best friend Jude stop by to grab something to eat and Linc immediately notice the signs of abuse on her but is convinced by Jude to let it go because he won’t be there to protect her from whatever it is since they are leaving next day. They go back to the Motel but Linc can’t sleep cause he is that upset about it. Starts to storm and he sees this small figure walking on the side of the road and he wants to help. And who is it? Yep Charlie, beaten to a pulp in a very bad shape. He stops ask her to take him back to the stupid boyfriend and HE beats him to almost death, as they are leaving because he was taken her to whatever place she wanted , the police shows up and he gets arrested. She fleas the town and Linc gets sentence to 10 years in prison!!!!!! He is released after 6 years, he doesn’t blame her but is a little upset she never defended him. And now by complete works of destiny the meet again and she’s been on the run all this time. She wasn’t safe living happy like he thought. And guys the story goes from there and it is GREAT. There’s found family, MC environment, violence, funny situations (always because of Lucy and Jude) and perfect delicious smut. I just didn’t give 5⭐️ because Charlie irritated me a little by not trusting Linc enough with her secrets. Bih what else does he need to do to prove he is loyal? Going to prison for 6 years, defending you in a shootout plus taking you and your friend to live with him for protection wasn’t enough? 🙄
Trope: 🖤 found family 🖤 motorcycle club 🖤 morally grey MMC 🖤 touch her and 💀 vibes 🖤 slow burn
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Where does it start? 50% 😉
I just finished this book and the ride was incredible!! I loved Linc and Charlie so much. They were such a good pairing and complimented each other so well.
Minor spoilers may be below this line ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Linc is one of the members of the Black Roses. He doesn’t really date, but he also isn’t saying no to the club bunnies 🤷🏼♀️. Him and his best friend and other member Jude are doing a run and meet Charlie at a diner. Linc can tell she’s been abused and doesn’t like it, but Jude tells him to let it go and not cause trouble….. of course Linc doesn’t and he gets sentenced to six years in jail. Lincoln is very protective of Charlie, especially when he finds her again. He had an abusive father and doesn’t want Charlie to ever have to go through that again. Let’s also say he’s her ✨ahem✨ giving when it comes to spicy time 😏 and we love to see it!!
Charlie, has been a girl on the run for the last six years terrified her ex would find her again. She’s never been able to trust anyone and her own mother never really tried to protect her either. Charlie struggles opening up to people even when she needs to. It’s part of why her and her best friend Lucy bonded over their secret pasts. I love her awkwardness around Linc when they find each other again it’s so cute.
Together this couple was amazing they had some cute banter and really cute moments. The side charcters are SO WELL developed. I’m eager for all of their stories. Motorcycle Club romance is really hit or miss for me, and this one was for sure a bit from the beginning to the end. Beyond the couple, the plot line kept me gripped, I kept trying to guess the upcoming twists and turns and I was wrong and I love when the author doesn’t go in the way I’m thinking, it keeps me gripped and on the edge of my seat and Kate did such a good job with that.
Definitely check this book out. Add it to your TBR. You won’t regret it!!
*** I did receive an advance copy of this book to review, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own***
Apparently I need more MC books to read! This book is sooooo good! Linc and Charlie’s road to happily ever after is definitely one that will keep your attention the whole time and even have your jaws dropping as you turn each page. Not only do we get the tension from Linc and Charlie, but we also get some super tension from Jude and Lucy which I HOPE we’ll get more of in the next book! This book is hot, hot, hot!!! And I LOVEEEEE a MC that is alllllll about the FMC and making sure she’s protected and well taken care of ;). This book has all the spice that I’m definitely waiting for the next one!
Oh, Linc, if only you were real. This book is a fantastic start to The Black Roses MC series. It will capture your heart at the beginning with Charlie, and Linc will do the rest. There is a cliffhanger at the end. it's not directed to the MCs, but it's there and had me freaking out a little. I am hoping the next one is about Jude and Lucy.. I need book 2!
Let me start off by saying that I consider myself a Motorcycle Club Romance connoisseur. This book checked all the boxes for me.
The story of Linc and Charlie was gripping from the first chapter. Lincoln notices the signs of abuse with Charlie at the first meeting. He later rescues her but, in doing so, is sent to prison. Fast forward six years, and we see Linc back with his MC after early release. He is living it up as a free man, but when sent on a run, he sees Charlie again.
After years on the run, Charlie sees Linc again. The guilt she felt from him giving his freedom up for her is still there. A threat arrives, and Linc makes the decision to bring her and her BFF back to the club. From here, the story takes off. We meet new characters and see the plot thicken with secrets and an evil bladt from the past.
Watching Charlie grow more comfortable around Linc and act on her feelings was amazing. Finding a family and being accepted meant so much to her. Linc was a patient man as well as a giving man, wink wink. The spice in this book does not start until around 50%, but it makes up for the slow burn quickly.
This book held me hostage until I finished it in one day. The plot was great. The main characters were well thought out and matched each other perfectly. Not to mention such well-rounded side characters. I highly recommend this book to those who love MC romances and to those curious about starting an MC romance.
This new series is going to capture your heart and make you fall hard for “The Black Roses” MC! These bikers take care of their own, and they love and play hard. You are going to fall headfirst for the sexy and oh so dreamy Linc! Linc is a protector for all who have ever been abused, or wronged by anyone, and he is willing to put his life and his future on the line for this girl, who captured his attention in the middle of nowhere at a diner that he stopped off at with his best friend and fellow MC brother Jude. Linc recognizes the signs of a woman, abused and mistreated and he can’t shake it no matter how hard he tries. He has to do something to help her but he’s just not sure what. Their only passing through on their way home from a run but he can’t shake the feeling that Charlie needs him!
Charlie is trapped by her abusive boyfriend Jace. He’s an addict and he’s been abusing her for a while now but she doesn’t know how to escape. When Linc helps her get a fresh start by sacrificing himself she has to make the most it and she promises his sacrifice for her won’t be for nothing!
When they run into each other in a nowhere town in Texas she can’t believe it’s really him! Linc was her savior that night and now she’s seeing him again after 6 years and she’s upset that trouble has followed her again. Jace will not give up on finding her but now that she’s back Linc isn’t letting her go. She will be protected and Linc will do everything in his power to make her trust him and feel safe and protected!
With her best friend Lucy in tow they head to Linc’s MC and they begin to work out a plan to keep them safe! This book is action packed, spicy, sexy, and downright fun to read. You will love these bikers’ and their willingness to help anyone in need. This series is going to be phenomenal and I can’t wait to see what comes next!! Jude’s book is going to be amazing because he’s definitely an entertaining and interesting character! Happy Reading!!
I loved this book, and I can't wait to read more of this new series. Linc and Charlie's story is fueled by intense emotions, thick tension, thrilling action and sultry steam. Charlie made my heart ache and Linc was super swoon worthy. Their story is really EVERYTHING! It yanks on your heartstrings; keeps you dancing on the edge and has you falling hard and fast. I am posting an objective review of my own accord.
Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trope: heroine in perik Angst: 😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥1\2
Linc is my first introduction to this author. I'm always looking for new to me MC authors to try and this one popped up in my suggestions. Interesting storyline that moved relatively quickly. I had a bit if a hard time connecting with the story and the MCs at first, but was invested by the end. Up in the air if ill continue, I guess I'll see 🤷🏻♀️
TITLE: Linc GENRE: Contemporary Romance AUTHOR: Kate Randall TROPE: Motorcycle Club Romance TYPE: Series (The Black Roses MC Book 1) POV: Dual POV MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5
I have not read any of Kate Randall's books previously, but I will admit I enjoyed reading Linc and stayed up late to get more of the storyline before bed. I really enjoyed Linc's character, where many MC Romances feel similar. I liked that there were not some typical storylines I have seen in other MC Romance books, or Linc handled it in a way making the MMC more likeable to the reader. There is some dark romance aspect in Charlie's history with the abuse she suffered from her ex, but I did not find it overly dark, so if you are a newbie to dark romance, this may be a good starting point. Charlie was likeable, and I loved her bond with her best friend, Lucy. I found Linc a quick read where the storyline kept my interest from the beginning until the end. I will most likely look at continuing the next book in the series, Jude, when it comes out. I am giving a rating of 4 / 5 Stars.
Between the protectiveness and the spice ugggghhh I could not get enough. I could not put this down, read it all in one sitting.
Bikers Spice Funny quips Defense against abused women "Who did this to you?" "I need your words!"
Linc, a member of the Black Roses MC stumbles upon Charlie, a broken and abused girl from a small town trapped in an abusive loveless relationship. Beating Charlie's abusive boyfriend Jace, lands Linc in jail for six years. After he gets out all Linc wants to do is get back to his biker lifestyle, until he unexpectedly runs into Charlie again and finds out Jace is still after her.
The story does end in a HUGE cliffhanger, but I absolutely hope and expect book 2 to continue with Jude and Lucy.

If you looking for MC biker with just enough spice , she falls first but he falls harder then this is for you . It was a fun read with not too many chapters. My favourite parts are chapter 11 and 14. My favourite line is "the only thing I want to call you is mine ". I love how protective and how ready he was to do anything for her even before he knew her that well. The spice was just enough and went very well with the plot . I will definitely be reading more of this author especially Jude and Ozzy story .
This new series from Kate Randall is one you won't want to miss if you love a good motorcycle club story. Linc is book one in The Black Roses MC series, and man how I wish I had a Linc in my life. He's a protector and makes sure to protect all of those who have ever been abused or wronged. Charlie has been on the run from her ex, always looking over her shoulder. When she encounters Linc, he can see that she has something going on, and he makes it his mission to protect her. I loved this book so much, and watching the two of them made me swoon. The characters are great, the plot is amazing, and this book is 100% perfection.
I had formatting issues with my copy that made it hard to read for me. Instead of being aligned on the left side, there were aligned on the right. It was hard to adjust to and read, especially with all the words being italicized in each chapter. When I would exit out for the day of reading and come back to my kindle app, the words on pages read were no longer italicized or aligned on the right. I’m not sure why this was happening and hopefully it was just on my end with the advanced copy.
Despite the issues with formatting, this book was great. I love MC romance and can tell this MC series is going to be fun and entertaining to read. The book was packed with action, spice, alphaholes, and was very fun to read. I love bikers and seeing them portrayed how they really are, always willing to help someone.
The characters were well developed and had good depth to them. Jude and Lucy’s banter and tension stole the show a few times but it was very entertaining. I’m definitely looking forward to more in the next book (especially with our grumpy Jude!)
Just ok. Felt like there were some things unexplained and the connection between the characters weren’t developed enough but it was a quick easy read.
POV: Dual, 1st person. SERIES or STANDALONE: 1st in series, can be read as a standalone. TROPES: M/F adult, MC, kinda second chance romance. SIZE: 296 (last page) Kindle pages. CHARACTERS: Linc (late 20s?) & Charlie (25)
The spice is just sooo good 🔥😮💨 Linc is willingly to risk everything for this girl Charlie he meets once at a bar. He sees signs of that she has been abused and doesn’t even hesitate to help her out of this sticky situation. Cut to six years later with Linc getting out of prison they find each other again and their chemistry is out of this world. I loved this book so much the biker aspect just made the book that much more interesting. And the tension between Jude and Lucy was so very entertaining to read lol.
Thank you to the author and to Next Step PR for giving me the chance to read this 🔥
I was given a great advantage from my book bestie that the series has a prequel: Rose Colored Glasses.
I was able to get a copy from Kate’s website/bio links. Finishing book 1, Linc. I think my book bestie was right: read the Prequel after Jude and before Ozzy for it to click at the right time in the way the club is presented to you. The Prequel would make sense being numbered as book 2.50 instead of 0.50.
Linc and Charlie’s ‘connection’ after only meeting a couple of times was a challenge for me to fully connect to myself. Once I read about what went down that night I was wondering if we were reaching a bit.
I will say the chemistry between Charlie and Linc from meeting #3 on clicked better from that point on for me. The flirtation really changed my pov on the two and I found myself rooting for and enjoying them.
I would rate this book between a 3.75–4.00 based on the facts of some points feeling semi-inconsistent with the type of world they were existing in. Read it and you may find some that stand out to you as well. I am going to continue on reading the series.
I received a copy of this book from Kate Randall. I am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.
Linc and Charlie are a meet again, save me from my ex, power couple. Charlie (the girl that needs saving) thinks for herself (finally) and I personally loved it. At first, I was like Charlie just tell him and then eventually got to the point (like Linc after a little help), where I finally understood why Charlie kept her secrets close to her chest and why she didn't tell the whole truth. Linc is a good slow burn story and I can't wait to read Jude's story next. Jude and Lucy were the comedic relief in the story for me. I had some issues with it aligning on the right side instead of the left and it was italized the whole time (which bothered me and on my Kindle it wouldn't let me make it a different font. But the story itself was really good.
This is a new author to me, and I definitely will be reading more of her work. The characters are well developed, and the storyline is intriguing, entertaining, suspenseful, and dark. Linc is a member of the Black Roses MC and because of his past he has a soft spot for battered and abused women. So when he and his club brother Jude stop at a diner and meet this waitress with sad eyes. Charlie is stuck in this small town and a loveless relationship to a man that was her high school sweetheart now that he is caught up in some crap he abuses her. She doesn’t see any way to get out. Linc offers her way out when he beats her boyfriend really badly but that meeting came with consequences and Linc was put in prison for six years and Charlie was in the wind. They find each other later, but Charlie is scared out of her mind with good reason. The night, six years ago, that it all went down. Charlie took some thing from her ex-boyfriend that could potentially get them all in trouble. Will she give it over to Linc? Will her ex-boyfriend catch up with her?
DNF at 60% seriously a tight channel 😐 so cringey and the pace was just way to fast I didn’t really believe the connection between the main characters and the whole mafia / Charlie storyline didn’t make a whole lot of sense

A little overview of the book first before my review. Linc is one of the members of the Black Roses. He doesn’t really date, but he also isn’t saying no to the club bunnies. Charlie struggles opening up to people even when she needs to. It’s part of why her and her best friend Lucy bonded over their secret pasts. Now for my review. I absolutely love the relationship between Charlie and Linc. He’s so protective, kind, sweet, sexy, gentle with her that it warms my heart. I love her awkwardness around Linc when they find each other again it’s so cute. The banter and Linc trying out nicknames was adorable. All the side characters are just perfect for the series. Jude, Lucy, Ozzy, Knox, Trick, Tayna, Liam, Wyatt, Barrett. The little Enemies type between Jude and Lucy is top notch 🫣🤭. I love how Lucy beats Jude at everything and he still tries to come up with games he can beat her with. For Lucy being Charlie’s best friend and not telling Charlie her secrets even though Charlie has told Lucy everything about her with Jace being abusive and then when a new club comes for a visit at the end and she sees somone from her past and blows Charlie off. Some Motorcycle romances are definitely a hit or miss and this one was a hit, the spice and everything just went perfectly written in the book. Beyond the couple, the plot line kept me gripped. Definitely check this book out. Add it to your TBR. You won’t regret it!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (Delicious spice that helped move the plot along)
An interesting slow burn, where the spice doesn't happen until the 50% mark, but the build up was amazing. A book I won't forget about for awhile.
My first MC romance and wow what a start. From the beginning I was drawn into the story. And couldn't stop reading. I loved how Charlie felt save with Linc from the very beginning. And the protectiveness Linc had for Charlie. Excuse me while I fangirl 🤧.
Must admit I felt a certain type of way reading Linc's scene with Stacie. While it was brief I still was annoyed lol, like go away honey 🤣.
Since I have already read the Boston Syndicate series. This book alone is answering so many questions I had about the Black Roses' connections to the Monaghan family.
Gosh this book was so fast paced. I loved everything about it. Such a page turner. I haven't thought about a book like this in a while, where when I wasn't reading it I wanted to hurry back to it. (I was at Disney World at the time, and was reading it in the queues 😂)
Well Lord have mercy, the spice in this book was everything. A nice slow burn that just exploded into sweet and delicious passion. Where both of them figured out they were exactly what the other one needed.
Charlie and Lucy's friendship was amazing. Brought tears to my eyes at times. Tanya and Trick's love story pulled at the heart strings. Hopefully we get a novella about them. Would love to read about them from start to finish.
The book easily earned a spot on my top 10 reads of 2024. And definitely will be a book I look forward to reading over and over again. I loved Linc and Charlie, plus all the side characters. Shoot I loved everything about this book.
And the cliffhanger regarding Lucy, had me running to Kindle to get Jude's book!!
Linc by Kate Randall is the first in what I hope to be a very long MC series. Linc is a slow burn, MC romance with men that aren’t always the good guys. Linc and Charlie were so good to read!
When Charlie is first introduced in this book, I felt for her so much. First her abusive father, then her abusive ex, she just didn’t have the best of luck. Lincoln aka Linc is a member of the Black Roses MMC, it's the lifestyle that fits him best. When he and his MC brothers meet Charlie for the first time, it’s clear that she is abused and broken. Something about Charlie calls to Linc, a call that lands him in jail for six years. Charlie is destroyed when she learns what happened to Lincoln, no one ever protected her the way he did. No one made her feel safe.
Fast forward six years and Charlie is on the run, never staying aware for long, she can’t risk her ex finding her ever again. Some of the best reading moments are with Charlie and her bestie Lucy, neither of them trust people easily so their bond together is beautiful. When Linc and Charlie meet again after his imprisonment, it’s awkward to say the least, but the draw they had all those years is still there and stronger than ever.
For a first time reader of this author, I am hooked! MC romances can sometimes be overly…aggressive, but Kate Randall has a gift with words. Linc and Charlie are so amazing together, the plot is easy to keep up with but suspenseful enough to keep the reader engaged and eager. Oh and the spice, wow the spice, is well…spicy and it’s often! I am really looking forward to the next books in this series, I very much hope it’s going to be Lucy and Jude. Those two….those two are going to be FUN to read.
Another new to me author that's made a great impression! Linc: The Black Roses MC, Book #1 is a great start to a new series, but also a great introduction to a new to me author.
This story was gritty, twisted and surprising. It starts out with a chance meeting in a run down diner with a waitress that's withdrawn, quiet, and hiding things. Two MC brothers from The Black Roses MC that happened upon the diner on their way home from a run and then one of those brothers finding the waitress walking along the dark, rainy road at night. He stops to pick her up and helps her out only to be left by her to deal with the aftermath on his own.
Five years later and another chance meeting has these two back together and fighting the past with the MC behind Linc and a couple of sassy women that are in need of help, again.
I loved this story and the characters. The best friend is a great surprise and a wonderful character that left me wanting so much more of her story. Charlie is a woman that is on the run and needs saving, although to hear her talk, she can take care of herself, but when there is a crazy man after her that no one can keep a handle on, she may need to turn to Linc again for saving and protection. I can't wait to read more of The Black Roses MC and the wonderful characters within the books. I will also be looking for more of Kate Randall's books to read in my future. So glad I pick this book up.
In Kate Randall's captivating novel, "Linc," we are introduced to a gritty world where a motorcycle club known as the Black Roses dominates. Linc, embodies strength and loyalty as he rescues Charlie from an abusive relationship, facing a six-year prison sentence for his actions. Upon his release, Linc finds himself drawn back into Charlie's life, entangled in a dangerous game involving her ex-boyfriend. The pursuit of a notebook containing sensitive information sets off a chain of events that tests Linc's unwavering devotion to Charlie. Despite his doubts about Charlie's trustworthiness, Linc's love for her fuels his determination to protect her from the perils that surround her. Drama and trouble follow Charlie like a shadow, but Linc remains steadfast, his unwavering loyalty serving as a beacon of hope in the face of adversity. As the story unfolds, the complex nature of their relationship is explored, showcasing the unwavering bonds of love and loyalty that can survive amidst danger and deceit.
The Story line was fantastic, I loved how Kate was able to keep me on my toes with the twist and turns this story had. I loved every minute of this book, I loved how the MMC would be giving the FMC nicknames I thought that was cute. I'm definitely continuing the series with Jude, Linc's best friend next.
This a great start to The Black Roses MC series, the first story gives us the journey of two strangers experiencing what life throws at them. Charlie is a young woman living a life with the anger and abuse from her boyfriend. One day at work her customer, Linc notices signs of abuse so when he finds her on the road late at night he does the unthinkable which sends him to jail. After being in hiding for six years Charlie is surprised to see Linc show up in her bar. Linc is getting back to his life, while on a run and ends up in Charlie’s bar. When her ex surprisingly ambushes them, Linc, Charlie, Jude and Lucy get on the road right away back to his clubhouse. Living together Linc and Charlie are given a chance to discover how they truly feel about one another while dealing with secrets, jealousy, discovering new feelings and love. It’s hilarious to see how her best friend Lucy out does Jude at every turn and how it bothers him! The girls find a loving family with the MC so when her past comes for her they show her how family takes care of one another at all cost. These two have an undeniable connection and chemistry they shows the lengths love will take you. Beautiful ending and I’m looking forward to seeing the trouble these guys find themselves in next.
The set up for this story was good, I enjoyed the MMC and the development but I feel like some of the storyline was forced or too quick, the ideas were good but not quite developed enough and kind of made it seem like where did that come from, some wasn’t explained enough, some character confusions with previous stories mentioned. I feel it was odd that her best friend would literally move across country at the drop of a hat for her but she didn’t know anything about her or her past after being friends for so long. There were some inconsistencies with the plot, ‘take me off speaker I’ll give you the detail. He pockets the phone’ small but a little annoying. The ending was a little far fetched. Book only took me a few hours to read and it was a nice story just maybe needed a couple more proof reads. Plus as a British person the ‘English character’ felt very out of place. It was still enjoyable and I’m glad I read it
New series and a new author to me. I am a suckered for mc romance, and this did not disappoint. Linc is at a diner when he sees a scared waitress and a sleazy boyfriend who calls to his past demons. He goes for a drive and sees the same girl beaten walking in the rain. He takes matters into his own hands and then is caught and sentenced to prison. 6 years later, his back with his mc and still.thibks fo that waitress fate brings thrn together again, and she is still in as much trouble as before. Kate did a great Jon and wrote Charlie and linc. Linc had a mother who was beaten and really lost it when it comes to abusive men. Charlie was so scared for long the way Kate wrote her inner thoughts and why she is the way she is was so perfect. I adored both of them, and Lucy and Jude were so great. Cannot wait to see what Lucy is hiding . Great start to a series
