The Right One
Finding that singular person we are meant to be with is never easy, but for Trauma Surgeon Andrea Taylor, finding the right one had been as elusive as catching a falling star. Luker is a lifelong Minnesota resident who recently (2024) retired from almost 36 years working with the City of Saint Peter. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing with the newest addition to her family – her polydactyl rescue cat Annie. She is a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Vikings and loves to travel internationally. She is a Certified Municipal Clerk and while she loves music, to this day she remains her third grade piano teacher’s greatest disappointment.

Barbara Luker is a master of compelling love stories, sprinkled with the perfect amount of suspense! She swept me up in this story and I couldn’t put it down.
When surgeon Andi moves to Austin, the action starts right away, saving a life and meeting a handsome man. It’s impossible not to love Ryan Jacobs (as Andi will discover). But when danger from the past follows Andi to Texas, it threatens the love she has finally opened up to.
When I finished the story and looked back, I couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with the characters, but, like Andi with Ryan, it seemed to happen through a dozen small yet significant moments. I always appreciate a Texas setting and a book that keeps me up reading well past bedtime. Well done, Luker.
